The wines are excellent.

-1 because there's no air conditioning.
-1 because there's no fricco, no polenta, no mushrooms, no Sauris cured meats, and nothing Friulian. And not even any first courses. And if you're vegan or have allergies, you'd better go elsewhere.
-1 because, in the land of the red-fleshed, the second courses are all French, Polish, etc.
-1 because the galletto alla bracce was a tandoori chicken so spicy and hot it reminded me of the congress in Chennai.
+1 because at least the cooked ham with horseradish was good (but it doesn't take much to make it) and the waitress was kind as well as cute.
06/07/2026: This was our first time at this restaurant in Tarcento, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish.
We started the meal with a delicious appetizer: smoked burrata with fresh cherry tomatoes, which we paired with an excellent glass of Prosecco, crisp and light.
The real highlight was the grilled meat, perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful. We also had the pleasure of tasting bavetta for the first time, a cut that literally won us over with its tenderness. Everything was magnificently paired with an excellent, perfectly structured Cabernet.
Attentive service and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back!

04/05/2026: They didn't give us a room at the hotel. They took us to a house across the street. The room was very basic, and the bathroom was old and outdated. The shower was tiny and difficult to use, and the toilet cistern was broken; we had to hit it to get it to work. It was very expensive for the awful room they gave us. I don't recommend it. Photos attached.
20/03/2026: A lovely hotel in San Gimignano, with the owner's courtesy and helpfulness. The only downside was that we had to pay for two coffees in the morning, even though breakfast was included. Sometimes you need a good nose.

11/05/2026: We've been eating here at least once a year since 2015. The food has always been delicious and the staff very friendly. The bread has always been fresh, too.

04/05/2026: Hotel located in the center of Colle Val d'Elsa. As its name suggests, it was once home to the local paper mill, whose products could be transported to the port of Pisa because the Elsa River was navigable at the time, allowing access to all the then-known markets. The rooms are welcoming and kept very clean. The food is plentiful and good. Parking near the hotel is a bit difficult. Parking is available about 400 meters away.

02/04/2025: Wonderful. New management, new name: CONTRASTI: molecular kitchen. The owner or chef Christian was very attentive, and everything was delicious, a fantastic bread and all food.! I would like to go back to try the tasting menu!
24/03/2025: Non posso fare una recensione sul cibo, però posso dire che sono stati veramente scortesi, perchè dopo aver telefonato più volte per confermare prenotazione inviato messaggi, arrivati davanti al ristorante di sabato sera alle 20:00 ristorante chiuso, ci possono essere milioni di motivi per tenere chiuso, ma obbligo avvertire le persone con la prenotazione, comportamento non accettabile, senza alcun rispetto.

20/06/2025: Scappate via, due panini di gusto mediocre un hamburger e patatine acqua e due caffè 60 euro. Ahahah . Si paga il coperto con le tovagliato di carta, acqua in plastica, locale sporco ,buio, caffè bruciato. A chianciano capisco perché non viene più nessuno e tutti i locali chiudono. Una schifezza !
