16/12/2025: We had a Florentine steak, a delight! I've never had such tender and flavorful meat, accompanied by baked potatoes and artichokes—nothing to say except that they were exquisite. Not to mention the desserts, delicious. Even though the place is small, we had our privacy. The owner was friendly and kind. We'll definitely be back! Highly recommended!

26/11/2025: LUCIDO HAS ITS VALUE! (and its price) Dinner for 2 friends, wanting to relax, and excellent food: and we succeeded! ATMOSPHERE Welcoming, well-prepared, very intimate, with very few tables (maybe 5/7 in total, I think). Perfect for listening to the flavors rather than your neighbors (as often happens, unfortunately!). Small and quiet. FOOD Normal appetizers, at least the crostini, but good quantity. Truly EXCELLENT meat, and prepared with Exceptional Love. PURE RAW MATERIALS, DEDICATION, AND PREPARATION. FINISHING: DESSERTS + LIQUORS Good portion and presentation, average. Mixed liquor tastings: DIVINE Superior quality products, even in the spirits. Moreover, expertly explained to fully appreciate them. WINE The selection by the glass isn't huge, but that's fine. What I think could be improved are the prices per glass. €7, €8, and even €18 for a glass seem excessive for someone who wants to have just one glass! DETAILS TO KNOW (and appreciate) 1. Serve the (empty) plates by cleaning them elegantly beforehand; I've only seen that in movies. 2. A meat thermometer: Another Pro. 3. Letting the empty plate on which you serve the meat sit on the stone fireplace, so that it retains as much heat as possible, seemed exceptional to me. The "red" lamp is common, but "warming the plate" to avoid a thermal shock seems like a detail not appreciated by many. 4. For the first time in history, when I asked for just 1 glass of wine, they left the (unopened) bottle of the corresponding wine on the table so I could actually see what I was enjoying... It's never happened to me! I rarely drink just 1 glass, it's true! ; ) 5. Absolute transparency when choosing to pay in cash or with card: that is, no fuss or discounts. The price is there, period. And I think it's fair. SUMMARY: That's all that happened... And if you've read this far, I'm sure you'll come prepared. It seems clear to me that this isn't a place for birthday parties with large tables, or for young people wanting to party. But finally, it's a SPACE FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO FEEL GOOD AND ENJOY THEIR QUALITY, WELL-PREPARED FOOD. Of course, with the associated prices, it's always good to be aware of that! ENJOY !

18/08/2026: Very good food as always, nothing to say, a guarantee....the only big flaw was the waitress who took the order, not very kind and polite, almost arrogant, and even though we had told her to bring all the appetizers together, she sent the cockerel as the first course and then the appetizers.

12/08/2026: I compare it to an electric car that takes you from point A to point B without any emotions... quiet place, rather quick service, the girl who took the order was not very empathetic and quite annoyed because we didn't get the chicken, normal portions and total cost a little more than average... nothing special... for me obviously

20/10/2025: Yesterday, October 19, we went to this quaint restaurant for lunch. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the food excellent, and the staff very kind and professional. The homemade pasta is sublime, as are the desserts, even the homemade ones. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a day surrounded by chestnut trees and to anyone who wants to enjoy the authentic flavors of yesteryear, featuring all kinds of game. We'll definitely be back.

22/08/2026: I think it was one of the best dinners of my life! Gorgeous place, wonderful staff, and excellent food. The meat was high-quality, the prices were fair for the quality, and the staff was friendly, kind, and very knowledgeable. The bread was homemade, with a variety of flavors. They welcomed us with a small cup of their special cream, delicious. I was delighted by the beautifully presented dish, the cooked vegetables, and the delicious potatoes. I would return to Piombino just to eat at your restaurant again! I highly recommend meat lovers to try a fireside dinner at the tower. Thank you for your hospitality, see you soon.

17/08/2026: A truly incredible lunch, enjoyed with my family, my partner, and my two children. ❤️ In a landscape filled with countless restaurants, finding a place that truly stands out is no easy feat. There are many that offer good food, but it's much more difficult to find a restaurant capable of creating a complete experience, where the cuisine, ambiance, and quality of the ingredients leave a lasting impression. And that's exactly what we found here. The food absolutely deserves 5 stars. What impressed me most was the meat: simply exceptional. From a culinary standpoint, it was cooked to perfection, incredibly tender, juicy, and with a texture that literally melted in your mouth. You could sense all the care taken in cooking and preparation, without the meat losing its personality and flavor. It was undoubtedly the real surprise of the evening. The ambiance also deserves 5 stars! Pleasant, refined, and perfect for a lovely family dinner or lunch. I'm giving the service 4 stars, but I'm not saying that as a criticism, but rather as encouragement. The waiter was alone, and considering the situation, he really did his best. I simply believe that, with more support, the service could be even more effective and commendable to the excellent cuisine. Overall, however, the experience was incredible. We complimented the owner and chatted a bit. Obviously, we didn't focus solely on the meat, but I see that's one of this restaurant's strong points, so I absolutely recommend eating here! We left feeling truly satisfied and will gladly return. When a restaurant can make you want to return before you've even left, it means they've hit the mark. Congratulations! 👏

26/08/2026: Nice place. The staff is great and speaks English. On Wednesday evenings, getting a table was no problem. The food is delicious – a meat platter for two and pizza.

20/07/2026: Family dinner, four adults, Friday evening. Appetizer with Angus carpaccio and Florentine steak for two, mixed raw and hot fish appetizer, and baked snapper for the other two. The fish appetizer, given the price, left a little to be desired in both quantity and quality, but everything else was excellent!! The staff was exquisite, starting with the hostess! The only real flaw was the lack of air conditioning, which, given the quality of the place, is almost a must these days. The price was quite high, but given the food on offer, it was to be expected. I recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely evening and good food, especially on a night that's not exactly muggy!

22/08/2026: Absolutely avoidable. After waiting over two hours for three Hamburgers and a slice of steak, we had to leave without eating. Forcing you to pay for wine we didn't consume because the meat never arrived. There are many restaurants in Portoferraio; avoid this one.

22/08/2026: I had dinner at this restaurant on a windy August evening. The arrival was promising: a large, welcoming establishment and, above all, a spacious parking lot, something far from a given on Elba. "Excellent," I thought. "I've already parked, now all I need to do is be welcomed and pampered, and the evening will be fantastic." Never was a thought further from reality. At the entrance, I find a young street vendor smoking, spitting, and throwing cigarette butts in front of the door. I enter and, to greet me, is a muscular man in an apron intent on swinging a cleaver at a large piece of meat. The promise is interesting. Finally, a lady arrives: "Yes?" "I have a reservation for four." She looks me over like a customs officer, consults a scribbled piece of paper, and assigns us a table next to the wide-open windows, with the PVC sheeting stuck in place. "It's only a little sore, it's August," I think. Then it starts to rain. We sit down at 9:00 PM. Shortly afterward, we see a table cancel their order and leave, tired of waiting. First alarm bell. Naturally ignored. At 9:15 PM, a waiter finally appears: "I don't remember who was there before... oh well." After a mental ambarabà-ciccì-coccò, he chooses us. We order tartare, risotto, sliced ​​Chianina steak, and three burgers. The tartare and Chianina are finished. So I ask for a buffalo steak. "Beef?" Beef it is: he marks it before I can even reply. The house wine arrives: acidic. Very acidic. I order a Morellino, which arrives only after I ask for it three times. 10:15 PM: After more than an hour, the appetizer and risotto arrive. No sign of the other dishes. Meanwhile, customers who arrived after us order and are served. At 10:40 PM, we ask for an explanation: "It's on the grill." At 10:50 PM, we ask again: "It's on the grill." I'm starting to wonder how big that grill could be. At 11:00 PM, yet another table is served. After two hours, we decide to leave, simply asking to pay for what we consumed. And here comes the grand finale. At the cash register, the staff seems almost offended by our decision. The man with the cleaver also appears: "If you do that, it's offensive to us." The waiter, to a friend of ours annoyed by the approximately 60 euros paid, replies that "if you eat it, you pay" and that, if he leaves, he doesn't care. As we leave, a waitress joins us: "Now the food's ready." Of course. Now. After two hours. I politely say goodbye and walk the last few meters to the door under the gaze of pure contempt from the man with the axe. It's still raining outside. I think back to my initial enthusiasm. In the end, I was right about one thing: I had parked perfectly.

22/08/2026: Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing evening. Reservations were made at 9:30 PM, we were seated at 10:00 PM, and our order was taken at 10:15 PM. There were a series of errors with the pizzas: missing ingredients, changes not respected, one pizza arrived with cold ingredients, and pizzas served in batches, with the last one arriving around 11:15 PM. We also noticed that the bill was higher than the menu price. When we pointed this out to the owner, along with the evening's problems, we received a very unprofessional response, being called "aggressive" and being told, "What are you going to get a whip for now?" Mistakes happen, but the customer service approach is unacceptable. The service and attitude need to be completely reassessed.

24/08/2026: Wonderful seaside restaurant! The food is truly excellent and the service impeccable. Special mention goes to the gnocchi with Umbrina ragù, which are amazing, and the combination of fried anchovies and friggitelli peppers, a perfect dish! We went there three times during our two-week vacation and always had a great time! Highly recommended!
