For two, we ate:
1 appetizer: Chili Nachos
1 Chileta main course
1 Hamburger
With water, we spent €44 in total.
We were both full and satisfied.
This restaurant is a guarantee and, I'd say, a blessing for Novi.

24/01/2026: The pizza was good, as was the hazelnut cake. The place was clean and nice. But... so cold!!! The dining room was very cold, even though the stove in the middle of the room was on.
01/01/2026: A renowned pizzeria in the Ovada area that recently began offering food. We had the seafood menu, which was truly satisfying and tasty, with everything made in-house, from appetizer to dessert. The wine pairing was excellent. We'll definitely be back.

15/01/2026: We went over the Christmas holidays with a group of friends and our children. We ate good food and wine, and the location was very well-kept.
The children had a small table with everything they needed to draw and play.
The owner and staff were super friendly. We'll be back soon.
14/12/2025: A truly positive experience! Careful cuisine and quality ingredients. As a vegan, I greatly appreciated the attention to detail: I was offered unique dishes and prepared with great care.
The owner is friendly, welcoming, and always available, and this is reflected in the atmosphere of the place. I had read some negative reviews, but they didn't reflect my experience at all. Highly recommended, I'll definitely be back!

25/02/2026: We had lunch today as a family with three children and a baby. We are French. The waitress spoke to us in English, very slowly. A drawing activity sheet was given to the children to keep them occupied. The children's meals arrived very quickly. Ours were kindly delayed as we were feeding the baby.
The meal was plentiful and tasty. We ate our fill. €17 per person: drink, dessert, and coffee included.
Everything was clean, both the dining room and the restrooms.
The waitress was welcoming, smiling, and pleasant.
22/02/2026: Friendly girls. The food was good, the sandwich could have been a little more flavorful, the cake wasn't very tasty.

11/01/2026: Mediocre atmosphere, expensive food for the quality, slow service. We split the bill between three people, and he verbally told us the rounded-up amount for each family, taking a full €1 off the total! Then, at the POS, he charged every last cent... not recommended.
10/01/2026: The meat is excellent, as are the appetizers and desserts. Next time I'll try the bagna cauda!
Also great for lunch with friends, with quick and courteous service.

17/01/2026: One of the worst experiences I've ever had at a restaurant, not because of the food (mediocre and forgettable), but because of the service bordering on absurd.
During dinner, a waiter dropped a tray of sauce, seriously soiling my coat. His reaction? He walked away laughing, without apologizing, without caring about the damage, without even bothering to return to the table. The only one who showed any politeness was a colleague, who tried to remedy a situation that had already deteriorated. The coat will obviously have to be taken to the cleaners at my expense, as if it were a completely normal occurrence.
The general level of service was embarrassing: listless waiters, clearly annoyed by the presence of customers, who loudly commented on the arrival of new people with phrases like "What do these people want?", perfectly audible from the dining room. The atmosphere was more akin to a poorly managed cafeteria than a restaurant open to the public.
The food is average, nothing to justify the slightly above-average prices, especially considering the complete lack of professionalism, respect, and customer service.
If this is how the dining room is managed and the staff trained, the problem isn't a single waiter, but the entire place. An experience to forget. Not recommended in every way.
14/01/2026: I eat here often for lunch, and so far it hasn't disappointed. Today, taking advantage of Grill Day (30% off), I had one of the best grilled meals I've ever had at Roadhouse. The medium cut was cooked as requested, the meat was piping hot, and the other cuts were also good quality and very tasty. The staff is quick, attentive, and friendly. There was a long wait for coffee. The men's restroom needs some minor maintenance, but it's still clean and functional.

20/07/2025: Posate sporche (già utilizzate), pulizia del tavolo da rivedere, insalata in larga parte marcita… occorre dire altro?
12/06/2025: Esperienza davvero deludente. Avevo chiesto una carne a cottura media al sangue, ma mi è stato risposto in modo quasi infastidito che esiste solo “media” o “al sangue” – già questo atteggiamento poco flessibile lascia perplessi.
Alla fine la carne servita era tutt’altra cosa rispetto a quanto richiesto: cottura completamente sbagliata e consistenza dura come una suola di scarpe, davvero immangiabile, e per giunta si trattava del taglio più costoso in menu.
Alla mia segnalazione, la direttrice non solo non si è scusata, ma ha mostrato un atteggiamento distaccato e di sufficienza, come se il problema non la riguardasse. Un comportamento pessimo per chi lavora a contatto col pubblico.
Decisamente non tornerò e non consiglio questa esperienza a nessuno che tenga alla qualità del cibo e al rispetto del cliente.

13/10/2024: Aperto nel 1968, questa gestione dal 25 luglio di quest'anno. Comodo parcheggio nell'ampia piazza antistante. Il dehors coperto, fruibile nella bella stagione, dispone di 20 coperti, 10 nella saletta all'ingresso con il bancone del bar, 25 nella sala con il camino della griglia. Chef Ciro e Sebina, grigliatore il patron Alessandro; in sala Marco e Andrea. Musica in sottofondo; il pranzo:
Vino:
- Piemonte DOC Rosato Brut "Rosé" az. Pico Maccario.
Pane bianco di produzione artigianale e grissini.
ANTIPASTI:
- antipasto della casa (tartufino di caprino e nocciole col miele; insalata russa; crostino di peperoni; bagna cauda; tortino con le cipolle).
- formaggi e salumi.
SECONDI:
- costine di suino con contorno di verdure grigliate.
- tagliata di manzo con contorno di patate saltate.
Caffè.
Digestivi:
- liquirizia.
- limoncello.
Viene utilizzato il QR Code; 16 etichette di vino, anche sfuso 1/2 litro. Non è previsto il menù degustazione; 2 antipasti a 15€; 3 primi da 12 a 15€; 7 secondi di carne alla brace da 7 a 20€, "costata di manzo" a 3,50€/hg, "filetto" a 7€/hg; 3 contorni a 4€; 4 dessert a 6€, "sorbetto liscio" a 4€; elencati anche vari fuori menù.
Dal 2011 al 23 giugno di quest'anno la gestione di John Neckelmann, musicista negli anni '60 nell'alessandrino e con un passato anche di insegnate d'inglese alla Global School; nel 1985 in Alessandria rileva la birreria "Roxy" di via Milazzo rinominandolo "John's Pub", poi trasferito in via Mondovì ora gestito dal figlio. La Locanda dei Cacciatori fu aperta dai nonni della moglie di John ed era conosciuta come "Da Bertè" dal nome del nonno Umberto.
Conto non dettagliato. Per chi ama la carne alla brace è un buon approdo. A fine pranzo i nostri complimenti.
