08/02/2025: Review – Old World West, Parma Last night I went to Old World West, in via Sergio Leone in Parma (Campus area), with three friends I hadn't seen for a long time. It was a truly pleasant evening, both for the excellent company and for the excellent experience in the venue. We ordered three main courses: a fillet, a steak and a San Diego wrap, all accompanied by french fries, baked potatoes and vegetables. Each dish lived up to expectations, well prepared and tasty. To end the dinner in style, I chose a pistachio cup, which turned out to be a real delight! The service was impeccable: the boy who served us was very kind, courteous and friendly, helping to make the evening even more pleasant. The prices were also normal, absolutely adequate for the quality of the dishes. Overall, a very positive experience. If you are looking for a cozy place, with good food and great service, I absolutely recommend it!

13/02/2025: We've been coming to eat at this OWW since it opened a bunch of years ago and have watched it get worse and worse. I would say that last night - Wednesday 12 February - we hit rock bottom. Having bought tickets for the 8.30pm to 7.25pm ​​cinema, we sit in a fairly full restaurant. Next to us, another couple who have already been sitting for a while are consulting the menu. There appear to be only two waiters, who then become one, because the girl suddenly disappears. The boy walks around us, takes other orders, talks at the counter, serves drinks and other dishes but we and the other couple next to us are ignored. She starts waving, calling him, but nothing. My friend, who was facing the room, also tries. Nothing. At 7.50pm, now resigned, we got up and left, just like the neighboring couple. The terrible thing was that no one - including these phantom waiters, the steward and those at the cash register - noticed. Regardless of the fact that with such carelessness there are people who could eat and take advantage of it to slip away without paying, I find it really painful not to be organized enough to realize that you have people waiting to order for half an hour. Good times when in a packed restaurant you were seated and served within that same half hour.

03/03/2025: Booked the table by phone for 8.30pm. we arrive and they hadn't marked the reservation. Annoyed they tell us that there is a free table anyway. We order immediately and for 4 burgers we wait 1 hour. Cold chips and dry, cheap sandwich. seasoning. Better to go elsewhere

27/02/2025: It's been a while since they went to this old one, but we returned on Sunday evening and it was practically empty, but despite everything we had to call the waitresses several times to take orders. Cold food, poor quality meat. She's the curly girl always with the pissed off and haughty face. Not to mention the gentleman and owner, a rude absurdity And the bill is very high. Once upon a time there was quality and friendliness, but now you have fallen short in many respects. I don't recommend it.

30/09/2024: Since Sottomura changed management, the place has become a place to avoid. I've been here three times and something's wrong three times. The first time the place had just changed management and the guys were young people recently hired, so I apologized for the disorganization, the delays, the uninformed waiters, etc. Furthermore, I had just had a drink and in the end I had even succeeded in my aim. The second time it went the same way, with the addition of the fact that we had also ordered chips to eat, and these arrived at least forty minutes after we finished drinking the drinks. The last time, last night, we ordered a series of drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, including sweet soft drinks and dry soft drinks. At first, the waiter snorted and protested when faced with various but legitimate requests, to the point of forcing some of us to change the order to standardize the order and avoid the bartender having to prepare too different mixes. Then, he brought some drinks instead of others, also asking us to take them anyway instead of the ones we had ordered because otherwise they would have been wasted. Of two negronis taken, one was full, the other was halved (obviously we paid both in full). Finally, after everyone settled their bill, we were informed that the accounts didn't add up and some drinks hadn't been paid for (which wasn't true, it was clearly their mistake). In short, if on the two previous occasions we were a little disappointed but in the end we were satisfied, this time we have to write a review here also to warn any other customers. Place to avoid. I also gave 1 star to the environment because I personally find the new furniture very sloppy, but beyond this: in a bar without a dance floor, where people go to spend an evening in company to have a drink and chat, how would you think of placing a deafening DJ set just a few meters from the tables? Obviously no one was dancing (also because, I repeat, there was no space). Summary of the experience: nonsense. Especially at these prices.

29/12/2024: Locale scelto appositamente per le selezioni Senza Glutine, dopo aver visto su Internet. Ho ordinato una pizza bufala, purtroppo quello che viene servito non è quello che ci si aspetta, sembra che senza glutine equivalga a Dieta…., molto acquosa e non cotta bene, per non parlare delle dimensioni della pizza imbarazzanti, per un prezzo di 12€… Sevizio Buono e veloce, ragazze cordiali e socievoli che sanno consigliare dal menu. Locale carino e ben tenuto,

17/12/2024: Durante la serata con amici , prenotata da tempo, ordino tartare di cavallo in listino , ed arriva dopo oltre mezz’ora, e solo dopo che ho cercato il cameriere per chiedere ragioni della mancato arrivo . All’arrivo il piatto e la carne sono talmente freddi che , dopo ulteriori venti minuti di attesa non a raggiunto una temperatura ambiente . Dopo alcuni bocconi interrompo per dolori allo stomaco . Mi viene esclusa da conto.

29/12/2024: Frequento le trattorie dell'Appennino da 40 anni, mi dispiace aver scoperto la Palazzina solo oggi: servizio attento, rapido ed amichevole, battuta di fassona proposta in varie declinazioni eccellente, vino di loro produzione piacevolissimo. La fiorentina era già allettante viste quelle esposte che presentavano frollatura perfetta. Il tutto confermato dalla cottura ineccepibile. Che bontà! Una piacevolissima esperienza, i prezzi sono allineati alla carne di manzo di eccelsa qualità, oltretutto abbiamo faticato a finire la bistecca da 1kg, che era sicuramente tale (qui evidentemente non cedono alla moda di far pagare 8 etti per un chilo, bravi!). Un suggerimento per coloro che insultano e lasciano recensioni ad una stella: a Borgo Panigale c'è il McDonald, lì sì che spendi poco e mangi bene 😀

29/12/2024: Consiglio vivamente per la carne ottima e per la grande simpatia del titolare Gerardo e del suo staff sempre pronto e disponibile. Consiglio le tagliate ma tutti i tagli di carne sono da provare. Location molto accogliente e parcheggio in loco.👩‍❤️‍👨
