We had dinner at La Baita and were thrilled. The staff is truly excellent: friendly, attentive and always smiling. A special thanks goes to Francesca, who with her kindness and professionalism made the experience even more enjoyable.
The food is excellent, prepared with care and with quality ingredients. From appetizers to desserts, everything is truly exquisite.
In addition, the prices are super cheap, which makes the quality/price ratio unbeatable.
Highly recommended! We will definitely be back!

05/07/2025: What can I say! Passion for your work leads to excellence. And Mauro and his family are excellent managers of this wonderful agri-campsite on Lake Campotosto. Friendliness, availability and rigorous cleaning of the common areas make this place a fantastic destination for those seeking tranquility, contact with nature, enchanting places to visit and, last but not least, excellent cuisine with local products. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

02/07/2025: Now a regular stop every time we pass through L’Aquila. Fabulous bruschetta and arrosticini, good selection of wines and Fabrizio the perfect host!

25/06/2025: I had been wanting to go there for a long time. I expected it to be the way I found it. Simple, without unnecessary frills. The dishes are written on the blackboard but, in reality, they are engraved in the memory of those who were born and raised in this land and preserve its superlative food and wine heritage. Mrs. Rosaria speaks softly but her dishes are overbearing and express the strength and flavors of the land of Abruzzo
23/06/2025: Just been... Typical Abruzzo trattoria! It reminded me of the flavors of when I was a child!
Fettuccine mushrooms and sausage excellent... Excellent grilled meat and super arrosticini! Delicious house cake (parsley and ricotta), delicious tiramisu. Unmatched quality/price, superior quality without a shadow of a doubt compared to the prices. Kind and hospitable owners.
Not too far from Campo Imperatore, if you find yourself for a visit I can only recommend you stop here, you will come away satisfied!

If I were to pass by these parts again I would definitely go back!
16/04/2025: If you don't want any nasty surprises, order thinking that you won't ask for anything else afterwards. The bad surprise is that you have to wait forever. Just to clarify, we had to get up and ask ourselves, three times and this for only 20 kebabs. It takes away your imagination. I'm sorry to say these things, unfortunately this is the truth. So, the advice, order something more so as not to reorder.

20/06/2025: I order takeout and always leave satisfied and with a full stomach. I celebrated my graduation there and had a great time and ate very well, as did all the guests. The food is always delicious, it has never disappointed me. In addition, the staff is always available, correct and very friendly

Aesthetically the exterior looks good, the interior, although dated, is equally livable.
Pizza dinner.
Improved initial frying.
Good quality pizzas; to deny the history of the burns, which from what we have seen exist but are to be considered physiological.
Very helpful service indeed.
Fair price.

07/02/2025: Monticchio branch: Closing "00:00", I order a takeaway pizza at 10.15pm for 10.30pm ..answer "we closed the bakery". I point out that on Google the closing time is 00 and twice I get the response "I can't hear you". I hung up on the triple tease. Lazy and ill-mannered.

15/07/2025: After spending a few days on our motorbikes along the beautiful roads of Abruzzo, and on our way back, we stumbled upon this truly charming little hotel. Reasonable prices, excellent cleanliness, and a fantastic welcome. A very pleasant discovery that we will definitely keep in mind whenever we pass through this area. Highly recommended!
15/07/2025: Every year we take a lovely motorcycle tour with my in-laws, and Abruzzo is always one of our favorite destinations. This time we stopped in Celano and discovered the Hotel Il Fortino: a wonderful surprise! Professionalism, quality, and truly competitive prices. Kudos to all the staff, especially the owners' mother: a very kind lady, always available... and her tarts are truly delicious! The room was clean, welcoming, and the bed very comfortable. A truly pleasant stay—we'll definitely be back!

21/06/2025: I have only had the chance to try the arrosticini, and unfortunately, being a fan of quality ones, these disappointed me. Anyone who says otherwise obviously knows nothing about arrosticini. I will return anyway to taste the quality of the steaks.

19/04/2025: Pranzo di passaggio con la famiglia. Locale sporco e vecchio. Un cameriere vestito in tenuta da calcio post allenamento, ci ha letteralmente tirato i menù. Grigliata carbonizzata. Verdure alla griglia riesumate dal frigo che non siamo riusciti ad assaggiare! Tutto il personale e parentela annessa che entrava ed usciva dalla cucina senza una divisa, un grembiule… esperienza da incubo.
01/03/2025: Su consiglio di un collega ci siamo fermati qui per pranzo, prima di andare sulla neve (cima Mammarosa). Una cucina autentica, dai sapori genuini. Pappardelle al cinghiale in bianco buonissime, così come lo spezzatino di cinghiale alle erbe. Molto buoni anche gli spaghetti alla chitarra con porcini e tartufo. Eccezionali gli arrosticini di pecora cucinati sulla loro brace. Anche le patatine fritte erano perfette, cosa che oggi non è così scontata da trovare nei ristoranti. Il prezzo è veramente basso, con gli stessi soldi ormai non ci mangi nemmeno una pizza in pizzeria. Da tornarci, anche per la gentilezza del personale. Complimenti!!

The children not only ate everything but together with their friends they had a lot of fun between the games room and the bowling alley! I highly recommend it to everyone! 23/04/2025: In questa mia recensione la qualità del cibo(comunque di scarso livello) passa in secondo piano. La prima cosa che valuto in un ristorante è l'accoglienza e sotto questo aspetto La Trappola è uno dei peggiori posti dove sono stato. La scostumatezza della proprietaria è di un livello imbarazzante. Pochissime volte in vita mia ho avuto a che fare con personale di una tale scortesia. Ovviamente non ci metterò mai più piede.
05/03/2025: un piccolo ristorantino che offre cucina locale e pizze, molto accogliente, caldo e il personale è molto gentile. I piatti sono molto abbondanti e ci siamo tornati due volte, la prima abbiamo preso delle magnifiche pappardelle ai porcini e uno strudel e la seconda volta delle trofie con zucca, zafferano, salsiccia, ... tutto davvero buonissimo e ad un costo onsstissimo! ci torneremo.
