14/05/2026: On the menu is Pizza but was not available. Chicken nuggets 6 pieces and that's it, after all the dishes come on the table salad come last one. I would recommend it for teen ages and not for something more then that. Food over all is good.

28/05/2026: There's the classic online menu, but in this case you order by sending WhatsApp messages. We arrived at 1:00 PM and by 1:30 PM we had already completed all our orders. Despite this, at 3:00 PM we were still waiting for all our dishes to arrive. The service was slow and disorganized. We were also very disappointed with the food: some dishes were truly beyond reproach, so much so that we had to leave them. For example, the Cantonese rice had a very strong buttery aftertaste, and the gyoza were still slightly undercooked. The price was slightly lower than other all-you-can-eat restaurants in the area, considering that water is also included.

18/07/2026: If you're comfortable eating at McDonald's-style tables, the rest is truly excellent. It's located in the narrow streets of Rapallo, which makes it unique. The owner is very friendly and approachable, and the burgers are truly delicious and plentiful. The prices are more than fair. If you want to eat a 🍔, come here.

07/06/2026: A 1970s-style restaurant (Happy Days, Hazard) with a good number of tables inside and additional tables in the outdoor (uncovered) area. Convenient for an after-hours snack, being one of the few options with a kitchen open well into the night, with free parking nearby. As for the burgers (which are the best option), you can choose between frozen meat and freshly ground beef (100g or 200g). All the burgers are practically the same price (depending on the type of meat), partly because they are very similar, with very little variation in the topping ingredients. Mayonnaise, mustard, or ketchup are not provided at the table. The recently introduced pulled pork is not bad, served in a ciabatta-style loaf (also frozen bread). The focaccia (in my case, a Stingray) was very disappointing: well-cooked but small and particularly dry, due to it being too thin and sparsely topped (minimal speck and provolone, insufficient tomato and salad). At €8, it's definitely not worth it, considering it's smaller and less elaborate than a hamburger or pulled pork (not to mention a pizza or flatbread at a pizzeria, which are twice the price). Pros: fairly quick service, adequate restrooms, helpful and friendly owner, and young and friendly staff.

26/05/2026: The place is very aesthetically pleasing, very reminiscent of the '80s. The food is very good, with a variety of sandwich options, including gluten-free. The only downside is that it's not very visible from the street, making it difficult to see. I'd recommend a large, illuminated sign.

23/05/2026: We visited this pizzeria on a Saturday evening, and unfortunately, the experience was decidedly negative. The pizza was good, and tasted nice, but the wait was excruciating: almost two hours to be served. We understand the weekend chaos, but what made matters worse was the staff's total lack of helpfulness and courtesy, who seemed indifferent to our inconvenience. It's a shame, but good food isn't enough without organization and respect for the customer. We won't be returning.

04/04/2026: We chose to go during the week to avoid the weekend chaos and the difficulty of booking, and it turned out to be a great move. The place is delightful, but what really sets it apart is the amazing service: the staff is incredibly friendly, and the welcome with spiced popcorn is a touch of class that passes the wait and makes you feel instantly pampered. The sandwiches are simply the best we've ever had, a true delight for the palate and cooked to perfection. Even the side fries, often overlooked, surprised us with their crispiness and quality. The prices are above average, but the experience is worth every penny. Highly recommended!

11/07/2026: Nice Irish-style pub with a wide selection of appetizers, some of which are unusual (like pulled pork nuggets), and plenty of drinks. Everything was good, the staff was friendly and fast, and I really enjoyed it.

05/07/2026: A truly welcoming place, especially the owner and staff, who were extremely kind and attentive in every way. A truly positive experience! Plus, I'd forgotten my phone in the place, and when I returned, they'd kept it and returned it to me without any problem. A gesture that's not at all a given these days and says a lot about the people who work there. I happened to go for an aperitivo, excellent spritzes at fair prices, and a quality platter as well. I'll definitely be back and recommend it to everyone!

12/04/2026: One of my favorite places in Catania for good sandwiches. The quality/price ratio is excellent. I recommend trying the Cis pulled pork and their pulled pork products in general; they're delicious! The staff is very helpful and patient. For a more relaxed meal, further ahead is a well-lit square with benches, and going up the street in the same direction as the restaurant, there's a fountain next to the church (which can always be useful 😊).

The service was impeccable—professional, knowledgeable, warm, and attentive without ever being intrusive. Every detail was carefully considered, making the entire evening feel truly special. The atmosphere was elegant yet welcoming, and even our children felt comfortable and well looked after. This is far more than just a restaurant; it’s a memorable gastronomic experience. Highly recommended to anyone who appreciates fine dining. Worth every euro, and we will definitely return. Five stars!

27/06/2026: Very pleasant outdoor atmosphere, good service. I'd probably avoid rushing the food. The music is a bit loud, but since it's a young place, it's fine for those who want music and dancing. It's probably not suitable for those who want to chat. Definitely recommended for a good aperitif.

05/11/2025: This evening we wanted a beer before dinner, and we ordered two beers, both very good, with a wide selection! With the two beers, we enjoyed some fries, nice and hot and crispy. Intrigued by the burgers served at the next table, we decided to have a burger and a focaccia, which were very well cooked and excellent quality. What can I say... what a great discovery, Doktor Maltz!!! We'll definitely be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

19/09/2025: I've lived in Rescaldina for many years, but in recent weeks, Doktor Malz has become my weekly "refreshment spot." Wednesdays have become my regular stop at the bar: Franco is someone who has made history here, and maybe it's the atmosphere, maybe it's the friends I've met at the bar, maybe it's the food and beer that are exceptional—honest and authentic, no frills—but every now and then, an evening like this is truly refreshing. What can I say... just writing about it makes me wish it were Wednesday already!
