Very good coffee and cappuccino, pastries also reasonably priced for the heart of Verona.
Warm decor featuring advertising boxes and local products.
Friendly welcome.
We had 1 coffee, 2 cappuccinos, and 2 croissants for €8.40.

Daniela is a super professional and we can only recommend this restaurant to anyone who will be getting married or for any other event.

24/05/2025: First, the good news: the staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere was just as good. It was right on the shore of Lake Garda, with a view of the mountains where the sun sets. Unfortunately, the food was only okay. We had clams sailor-style for starters and fried shrimp, squid rings, shrimp, and paella for the main course. As already mentioned, everything was a bit tasteless, and the portions were very small; we could have eaten two rather than one.

29/05/2025: An Utter Disappointment — Unworthy of Any Stars, Let Alone Three
As seasoned diners who have had the privilege of experiencing virtually all of Italy’s 3-star Michelin restaurants, we were genuinely appalled by our recent experience at Casa Perbellini – 12 Apostoli in Verona.
From the moment we entered, something felt amiss. It took an inexplicable 12 to 15 minutes just to be offered an aperitif — a wait that would be questionable even at a provincial trattoria, let alone at an establishment purportedly at the pinnacle of global gastronomy.
The amuse-bouche — typically the chef’s moment to spark anticipation and delight — fell embarrassingly flat. Bland, unimaginative, and utterly lacking the finesse one expects at this level. But worse than the food was the service: indifferent at best, negligent at worst. The staff appeared disinterested, with an air of aloofness that bordered on contempt. Not once did we feel welcomed, valued, or engaged.
The sommelier, in particular, was astonishingly disengaged. Her lack of passion and initiative stood in stark contrast to the vibrant, knowledgeable sommeliers we’ve encountered across Italy’s finest restaurants.
After enduring this cold, uninspired atmosphere for far too long, we made the decision to leave — something we have never done before at a Michelin-rated establishment. It simply wasn’t worth any more of our time, nor of our appetite.
What was most disheartening, however, was the complete absence of what makes Italian dining so unique: warmth, spirit, hospitality. This was not a culinary experience; it was a lifeless procession.
We strongly do not recommend Casa Perbellini – 12 Apostoli to any genuine aficionado of fine dining. In our view, it does not merit its place in the Michelin guide, let alone its prestigious star rating. This was not merely a bad lunch — it was an affront to what three-star dining should represent.

Update:
Following our initial experience, I received an unexpected phone call from someone identifying himself as the chef/owner of the restaurant. Instead of showing empathy or any intent to resolve the situation, the call was aggressive, accusatory, and deeply unprofessional. My wife and I were both on speakerphone and found the tone extremely distressing — she felt particularly threatened by the exchange.
This only reinforced our impression that this establishment lacks not only hospitality, but basic respect for its guests.
What should have been a special celebration turned into a disturbing and regrettable experience. We have since submitted formal complaints to both the Michelin Guide and the Verona tourism board.
24/05/2025: The modest entrance on the narrow Via Antonio Tirabosco doesn't give us a clear idea of where we're about to dine. In this case, to celebrate the gastronomic and oenological joy of an unforgettable meal. Nor does it give us any idea of what history has seen fit to preserve beneath what is now the space that houses Gian Carlo Perebellini's restaurant. A chef who joined this establishment at the age of 18 and remained in charge of the restaurant.
A tour of the facilities allows us to admire the collections of pens from illustrious guests, which have earned the Mondadori Award, or the Roman ruins that speak of the centuries of history that gave rise to the space that today houses a delicious space that demonstrates how a pastry chef has paved the way to become one of the greatest exponents of 21st-century Italian cuisine. The experience of the Chef's table, a delightful space that allows you to contemplate the long menu as you eat, the silent work of a well-coordinated team of 12 cooks, plus the Chef, who passes notes and constantly approaches the table to check that everything is running smoothly.
The room has class and youth. The sommelier knows the risk of having to incorporate new pairings every day for a menu that constantly transforms, where flours, cheeses, and vegetables mark the backbone.
Freshly baked breads, crispy edible crusts. We can't deny that the pastry chef rises in the kitchen to offer bites where textures define tiny, sequential universes.
Gifts like caviar with a mini passion fruit sorbet (zabaglione & caviale affumicato). Or the delicious grissinis with slightly smoky notes. They return, time and again, to be refilled when you barely have a couple left. If the wide assortment of mini bites that open the menu isn't a sampler of what we can enjoy, the second offering after caviar comes with a crispy bouquet of green asparagus and crayfish.
Flavor, textures, freshness on the palate. They go even further with the tomato, celery vinegar gel, and a lovely béarnaise foam. Simple and effective. A gift for this first part of the menu, where the sea bass is somewhat lost in a tartar with goat cheese and licorice extract. Perhaps the lightest of the dishes, but one that captivates with the crunch that serves as a millefeuille.
The dentex is impeccable, also with a good combination of mascarpone and Cantabrian anchovies, which are very popular among the greats of transalpine cuisine.
The combination of the goat's milk ravioli with pea water and red shrimp is delicious. Although I admit that domestic peas are sweeter and have more flavor. I smile. The pasta, fusili with clams, is accompanied by a creamy anduja, a sobrassada from southern Italy, accompanied by a shellfish bisque. An outstanding dish, as everything else we tried has been.
Two meats round out the menu: lamb and veal with pigeon breast.
Desserts are extensive in the first bites: a chocolate sugar, and more sweet treats.
It wouldn't be a bad idea to follow the world route of all three-star restaurants that offer so much happiness at such a reasonable price. About €350.
Coffee, grappa, laughter, and conversation are reserved for private dining.

11/05/2025: It's the first time I've eaten in this restaurant, it was a very pleasant surprise, very good food, then the boiled meat with pear, an exquisite Veronese dish, then the waiter who followed us was very kind and helpful, we asked if he could put us at an outside table, we had two little dogs, he satisfied us straight away, when we left we wanted to give him a tip for his availability but we weren't able to, if we return it will be done.

07/06/2025: We sat down and were told we only have an hour to eat, then the waitress didn't take our order for about 30 minutes. There were people who sat down after us and were served and we just sat there being ignored so we got up and left without ordering. Also, prices were quite high.

The products are fresh, delicious and made with genuine ingredients.
The bread is crunchy and tasty, the desserts are unique and irresistible. Hummus, avocado toast and fennel side dish, all delicious.
The atmosphere is cozy and the service is friendly. I highly recommend trying a substantial lunch/dinner from them. Great for breakfast too!
Excellent choice for those looking for healthy and high quality cuisine

27/05/2025: If you're vegetarian, skip it. Totally not worth it. Across 4 cities in Italy we've been to, this was such a disappointment.
The only redeeming factor was the pea foam appetizer and the spinach side dish lol. The tiramisu was decent. The mains, just skip it. You're paying for boiled eggs (2nd course) and a basic risotto (1st course).

17/05/2025: It feels like they’re doing you a favor by selling. We went with a 1-year-old child and got dirty looks just for bringing a stroller. The staff (the woman and the man) were very rude and disrespectful. Also, the place wasn’t clean at all.
