07/04/2024: I went to this place for the first time, I ate the pizza but it wasn't that great, it felt like I was eating a frozen pizza, then the waitress brought us glasses that weren't dry, practically there was water in them.
05/04/2024: The seafood risotto and the Venetian trio were to die for.
The three young ladies who handled the service were very friendly, quick and courteous.
The whole family was full and happy. It was a nice evening.

Like many others, we wanted to try the legendary Florian café.
Historic setting, very good coffee and chocolate. On the other hand, the chocolate pastry is really not up to the price or the standard. A lot of work needs to be done. But the most surprising thing was at the time of payment. Our credit card was not used twice. So we had to pay in cash. Information taken from our bank, we were told that the payment request had been canceled twice by the café!!! Presumably the Florian café, like several merchants in Venice, do everything to obtain cash payments and thus avoid declaring the turnover. Let us reassure you, this does not mean that we are offering you VAT. it is simply scandalous for an establishment of this standing. For this I find that we must move on and the Italian state should be a little more vigilant about these practices...

04/04/2024: Great service, very friendly. The dishes were very good, in our case we had some spaghetti al nero di seppia and some spaghetti Allo scoglio con Pomodorini, both very good and recommended. This, together with the bread and water, left a bill of 39 euros.

02/04/2024: Inattentive and slow service, the customer is not interested here. As soon as we entered, we felt unwelcome. Pretty average food quality. The seafood was not cleaned properly and looked poor, the fish was too greasy and dry. I felt like I was in a canteen in some small village where anything goes... Worst experience in Venice. Disappointed. There are definitely better ones around.

02/01/2024: Ho cenato qui con mio marito sperando di fare esperienza di buona cucina veneziana. Antipasti di fascia medio bassa.Ho ordinato orata alla griglia e mi sono state servite 2 piccole orate ( fredde )di cui una era immangiabile(sapore disgustoso). Ho fatto gentilmente presente al cameriere…che non ha minimamente pensato di sostituire il piatto…. ma mi ha risposto che era impossibile poiché erano arrivate 2 giorni prima. Tant’è che ho pagato il piatto 20€ pur lasciando l’orata nel piatto. Ma il bello deve ancora venire…. Nel conto di di 101 € noto un’importo di 11€ di servizio (oltre al coperto ).Alla mia domanda di chiarimento su tale importo mi viene risposto dal cameriere che quello è l’importo per il suo stipendio…..
Mah… forse i clienti vanno informati che il ristorante applica costo di servizio….

05/04/2024: Very nice restaurant in a small isolated square with tasty non conventional dishes.
Not expensive for Venetian standards.
Kind and welcoming personnel.
I would visit again given the chance.

03/04/2024: Great pizza and great pasta, a little away from the crowds which is just what you need to unwind. Lovely service from the friendly staff. We ate here several times as we knew the food would be better than the busier areas. We finished our stay with the pizza with fried potatoes topping which was quite fun.

15/04/2024: Venice was our first honeymoon stop in Italy. We were craving good seafood, so our hotel recommended Ristotante Riveria. Our server, Valentino, was extremely friendly and helped us select our dishes, including a delicious lobster pasta. We had such a great first dinner date at this restaurant with a beautiful sunset view and nice wine.

23/04/2024: Belle selection de vin au verre. Le Pecorino est bien gras, juste excellent. Les Chicettis sont très frais, très bon. Association Gorgonzola - Hanchois très équilibrée. Grande variété et on les prépare devant vous.
On mange debout au bar, ou si on a de la chance en terrasse.
Les prix sont raisonnables.
Ouvert de 10h à 14h30.
09/04/2024: Best Cicchetti we've had in Venice! Wide range of toppings and good wine options to go with them. Friendly and quick service. Sometimes there's a queue, but pick your time and you shouldn't have to wait long.

03/04/2024: We found this wonderful restaurant in a quiet neighbourhood close to our accommodation. The food, ambience & service was wonderful and not too pricey. The pizzas and desserts were exceptional. It was so good that we went back for a second time in the 3 days we spent in Venice.
Highly recommend to anyone who is in or planning to visit Venice - don't miss it.
01/04/2024: Excellent tavern in the center of Venice, away from the traditional tourist routes. Very attentive and helpful staff, efficient service, excellent menu.

07/04/2024: I used to frequent this restaurant very often years ago. Now unfortunately I feel like strongly against it. Even to tourists. A great disappointment. I can only mention the courtesy of the staff to find a positive element. But nothing more.
07/04/2024: Restaurant is really cozy, seated us quickly (we had reservations) and has a beautiful romantic table for 2 outside on the canal (we saw a proposal there!). The food was all consistently good. There were other restaurants on our trip that knocked our socks off a little more than this one, but Ai Barbacani is still a fantastic dinner option in Venice.

17/03/2024: Nei pressi del "campo" più grande di Venezia (San Polo), solo San Marco è una piazza, in un angolo incantevole proprio adiacente ad un canale, nella taverna "Da Baffo" puoi gustare i piatti tipici della cucina veneziana, di ottima qualità, al giusto prezzo. Consigliatissimo.
