Me and my fiancé had a one of a kind experience at Ai Barbacani's special table. Amazing food and very professional staff. A night to remember💍❤️

We arrived in Venice tired, hungry, traveling with a one-and-a-half-year-old, and wandered into Ai Barbacani for a late lunch. We left feeling as though Venice had officially welcomed us. Much of that was thanks to Simone. From the moment we arrived, he was warm, funny, patient, and extraordinarily accommodating. Rather than simply handing us menus and disappearing, he helped us choose a couple of dishes that we could share with our daughter, Cleo, made sure she was comfortable and happy, brought her biscotti, and somehow managed to make two tired parents feel completely at ease. He even took photos of us at Ai Barbacani’s wonderful little table perched right on the canal, which gave us one of our favorite photographs from Venice. The food was delicious, but what I will remember most was the hospitality. There are cities where, as a tourist, you can understand that the people who live there have simply grown tired of visitors. Sometimes you can practically feel it coming off the walls. Venice was exactly the opposite. Again and again, we encountered people who were remarkably kind and welcoming. Simone may have been the best example of all. By the end of lunch, I began to wonder whether I was unknowingly wearing a sticker that said, “I’ve had a long day. I just need a hug.” If so, Simone read it, translated it and thought, “I can help!” He treated us less like customers passing through and more like family arriving for lunch. And making a tired one-and-a-half-year-old comfortable and happy after a day of travel is no small achievement. Thank you, Simone, for giving our family such a beautiful welcome to Venice. We came for lunch. We left feeling cared for. That is hospitality at its best.

An unforgettable evening at Ai Barbacani in Venice ❤️🇮🇹 Our evening at Ai Barbacani was truly special and will stay with us for a long time. We spent our honeymoon in Venice, and my husband treated me to this wonderful dinner. We had a very special table under the romantic archway – lovingly decorated with roses. 🥰🌹 We were even offered complimentary Prosecco to start. It was simply incredibly romantic! We would like to give special praise to our waiter, Adham. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and had a smile on his face the entire time. His wonderful mood made the special atmosphere even more beautiful. He even took photos of us so we can preserve these beautiful memories forever. Thank you so much, Adham! ❤️ The food was also fantastic: For starters, we had a delicious carpaccio. Then I had tagliatelle with lobster, and my husband had a perfectly cooked steak. To finish, we couldn't resist the chocolate lava cake – simply heavenly! 🤤🍫 Everything was incredibly delicious, the service was warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere was simply magical. It was the perfect evening for us and a wonderful moment during our honeymoon. Many thanks to the entire team at Ai Barbacani, especially Adham, for this unforgettable evening! ❤️ We would come back anytime and wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant! ✨

Adam and Marco were amazing, they both are great at their jobs and made our trip to the restaurant a memorable one. They kindly provided us with lots of freebies, which was very generous, we order the pasta and it was delicious. Would definitely recommend and would go back again!
