07/12/2025: The priority was friendly, attentive, and very helpful. The atmosphere was clean and the service was friendly. The wine markups were more than fair, and the manager certainly deserves praise for that. Unfortunately, the steak was disappointing in quality—tasteless and bland—and in its cooking, with one side overcooked and the other perfectly cooked. I also didn't like the fried artichokes. I must admit, however, that the owner would have without hesitation cooked me another steak when he noticed my dissatisfaction. I promised myself I'd make a second visit in the near future, also to try different dishes I'd seen at other tables and give the legendary steak a second and final chance.

25/11/2025: The owner was very kind and attentive, the staff was equally attentive, and the food was all excellent. The bill was reasonable for what you ordered.

05/07/2025: If you’re in town, you must come here! The food was absolutely delicious! We had the Tuscan Steak and it was tasty and melted in your mouth. Make sure you get dessert too, you will not be disappointed with anything on the menu! Highly recommend!!

19/10/2025: On this beautiful sunny day, we took a tour and stopped in Buggiano Castello...then for lunch we came to this restaurant...a stunning panoramic view...rustic and well-kept atmosphere...traditional Tuscan dishes with a slightly revisited twist...friendly service with extreme kindness in serving the dishes...well-combined and tasty dishes...the fillet I ate was cooked to perfection...prices are average for the area...definitely worth trying...we'll be back...

22/10/2025: Stopped in for some paninis and pizza slices. All very tasty, and nice to eat them outside (indoor seating also available). The man working here also makes a coffee, cream, and chocolate drink he calls Moroccan Coffee (pictured below). We got 2 after the meal and were impressed! I recommend giving it a try. One small note - the address for this spot is Piazza del Duomo, 15. Currently on Google its location a bit ambiguous, but if you search for Piazza del Duomo, 15, its exactly location will be on the map.

18/10/2025: Caffè Duomo is located in the piazza of the same name, a fantastic spot for enjoying breakfast or an aperitivo at the outdoor tables overlooking the square. The service is excellent and friendly, and you must try the Moroccan coffee (coffee, hot chocolate, and cream), which the owner masterfully prepares.

22/11/2025: Discovered by chance, this pizzeria turned out to be truly excellent. We were a group of five and were treated to a high-quality pizza round, made with seasonal ingredients. The service was impeccable: the waiters were kind and friendly, and the owner was very knowledgeable and equally professional. Highly recommended. Greetings from the kids "let's meet to eat tortellini."

09/11/2025: Very welcoming place and excellent service. The pizza was delicious, and they brought my daughter a lemon veal cutlet, which was truly delicious and top-notch. The quality of the ingredients was top-notch. We're from Varese and will definitely be back when we return. It'll definitely be a regular stop. The homemade Somarino pizza is a must-try. The only downside was the rude people in the dining room who ruined the evening a bit. Other than that, we'll definitely be back.

13/10/2025: Excellent pastry shop, often crowded. The breakfast pastries are good, and the made-to-order desserts are very good. We tried the Mimosa cake, which was truly delicious. The desserts are a bit pricey, but they're worth a try.

18/11/2025: Really rude cashier, I felt treated very badly: I ask for a focaccia to take away, the cashier puts it on the man at the register without saying anything to him, I go to pay and he looks at me rudely shaking his head as if to say "what do you want?" I indicate that I have to pay for what his colleague put next to him, he looks left and right at eye level mockingly, I tell him to look to his side again pointing and saying that I took what his colleague put next to him at the register. The colleague confirms, he counters that I should have been the one to speak and tell him what I had to pay, I reply that I don't know their organization regarding food to take away and that I imagined it was customary to wrap it and put it near the register (even if the person handling the money shouldn't touch the food even if it's wrapped) so I wasn't required to say anything else. Furthermore, I could also have had a language problem, it's useless to offend and make fun of it by also nervously banging things and slamming the focaccia on the counter afterwards Paid? Or would the most efficient thing for everyone be for the cashier to pass a food item to the cashier and say, "The gentleman took this." I think you're done.

05/11/2025: Arriving at the entrance, I'm pleased to see a sign thanking all the customers who have frequented the restaurant over the years, allowing the owners to continue their passion for the restaurant business. We came for a fixed-price business lunch, so there are several dishes to choose from, and honestly, there's a wide selection of first and second courses. The welcome is very warm and friendly. Tables are clean and linens are provided, and wine glasses are provided. Bruschetta was served while you wait. I ordered penne with porcini mushrooms and grilled chicken with beans. I promise I'll return for an à la carte lunch. Recommended!

29/10/2025: I've rarely eaten so badly. Unfortunately, today there was no à la carte menu, but rather a set menu. We were there with four adults and five children, and the children ate practically nothing. The other adults were also very dissatisfied with the food. The prices, however, were completely unreasonable; the supposed hidden gem ended in a financial disaster and, ultimately, hungry children. A small addendum to my reply: We weren't invited; we paid ourselves, and none of the nine of us were satisfied. The children didn't eat anything but were charged in full without a second thought. Our request to prepare even a small dish for the children was refused. If you're describing the menu so positively, you yourself must realize that it's absolutely not child-friendly. Referencing our German specialties in this way is not only extremely poor but also, in part, racist. It speaks volumes about the awful character of your establishment and of you personally. If I could give zero stars, I would.

05/10/2025: Excellent pastry shop in the center of Monsummano. The staff is very kind and attentive to their customers' needs. They produce both gluten- and gluten-free products, without the risk of cross-contamination. Between the two of us, we had two cappuccinos, a croissant with their chocolate cream (highly recommended), and a gluten-free pain au chocolat. Everything was delicious. The prices are slightly higher than average, but for the quality, it's absolutely worth it.

16/09/2025: Vegan croissants always available. Excellent vegan and gluten-free pastries made to order. Excellent artisanal preparations, sublime vegan chocolate mousse! Single-serving price: €8.00 for a vegan and gluten-free cake.

14/09/2025: Recently visited this charming little bar located conveniently near the University of Messina. As expected for the area, you'll find plenty of students frequenting this spot, creating a lively academic atmosphere. Space & Seating: The bar is quite compact with limited seating, so if you're planning to visit with a larger group, I'd recommend arriving early or being prepared to wait. During daytime hours, the outdoor seating can get quite sunny, making indoor spots more comfortable. Service & Staff: The service was pleasant, with friendly male and female bartenders who were professional and accommodating throughout my visit. I ordered the Crema di Caffè with Panna, which offered good value for money in terms of both quality and portion size. While it was enjoyable and reasonably priced, I wouldn't say it's the absolute best Crema di Caffè you'll find in Messina – but certainly worth trying. Overall: A decent neighborhood spot that's definitely worth a try if you're walking through this area of Messina. While it has some limitations in terms of space and the sweetness level of certain items, the friendly service and reasonable prices make it a solid choice for a quick coffee break, especially if you're in the university district. Recommended for: Students, coffee lovers, quick stops, solo visits
