04/05/2025: I'm in via Napoli with my two children for a dessert, we find ourselves in front of this run-down pastry shop but we decide to brace ourselves and go in.
At first glance the pastries were also nice.
We decide to order some of them, reading the receipt I was scared: 4 euros for a "nun's tit" (that's what they call it in Bari).
AFTER HAVING ASKED FOR A RECEIPT THREE TIMES, AN OLD OLD WOMAN (I presume a relative of the bartenders) YELLS AT ME IN THE BARESE LANGUAGE: "WE PAY THE VAT".
AFTER YET ONE SOLICITATION, THE RECEIPT ARRIVED FROM A LITTLE BOY WITH HIS HANDS DIRTY WITH POWDERED SUGAR. After touching the money without washing his hands, he takes the sweets while conspicuously chewing gum with his mouth open.
THE PASTRY ARRIVED ON THE TABLE. I KNOW SOME KIDS PLAYING CARDS WITH BETTING
(they looked like minors).
LASTLY AS THE ICING ON THE CAKE THE PASTRY WERE SOUR AND STOMACHING HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
I give 2 stars only out of pity for the two kids who served.
Even though as soon as I noticed the horrible taste of the pastries we were insulted in Bari dialect.

06/06/2025: Iniziamo dal servizio: è chiaro che in cucina imprevisti o contrattempi possono accadere, ma far uscire piatti a singhiozzo, costringendo ognuno a mangiare per conto proprio, senza che nessuno dello staff abbia mai cercato di gestire il problema, anticipando semplicemente delle scuse o premurandosi di verificare in cucina lo status dei piatti, non ci è affatto piaciuto. Per quando riguarda il cibo, crudo di mare gustoso (a parte i ricci totalmente senza sapore), antipasti di pesce caldi nulla di che (sushi freddissimo), risotto ai frutti di mare slegato e insipido (buone le vongole). Allo sbarazzo dei piatti, con ancora del cibo, nessuno che si sia preoccupato di chiedere il perché non avessimo gradito, se non altro per dimostrare attenzione verso il cliente e disponibilità a migliorarsi.
21/04/2025: Ancora una volta,oggi giorno di Pasquetta in Famiglia,il titolare con tutto lo staff,erano impegnati nel soddisfare le nostre richieste.Antipasti eccellenti,crudo di mare una bontà unica,due primi aragosta con le linguine,un risotto ai frutti di mare,poi delle verdure crude,due piatti di una croccante frittura di paranza Abbiamo completato il pranzo,con sorbetto,caffè,amaro è un dolce,tutti soddisfatti per la disponibilità,professionalità ma soprattutto per la serietà che il Sig.Donato,dedica a questo lavoro,come sempre grazie di tutto allo staff,quelli in sala è quelli in cucina,arrivederci alla prossima.Un saluto cordiale da Emanuele.

06/04/2025: In this place you can eat the freshest and best fried fish in Monopoli. The room could use an extra waitress, the poor thing present runs marathons between one table and another and doesn't mind giving smiles to the diners. I would happily return.

29/05/2025: Beautiful restyled coffee bar (see my new photos) with comfortable seats and places to stand at the bar. We came there in the morning for breakfast, offered by the B&B in the same street. Friendly staff, delicious coffee and a wide choice of sweets, highly recommended.

21/05/2025: Except for the spectacular view, a rather negative experience! I accompanied some French relatives and we sat at the table on the terrace, there were glasses and a full ashtray....
The waitress comes to take the order, removes the glasses, DOES NOT remove the ASHTRAY FULL of orange peels and cigarettes, DOES NOT clean the table, brings the order WITHOUT GLASSES but with a straw, and demands immediate payment....
I would like to point out that the place was empty, only a couple of customers.
I will definitely avoid it from now on....
20/05/2025: Had lunch with a first course specifying that I would have liked a little pistachio sauce and a lot of raw tuna, exactly the opposite arrived! Good octopus but non-existent portion! Unfortunately with a side dish of very good yellow tomato sauce but it seemed like a soup, it was served to me as a substitute for the burrata or stracciata! Which were out of stock! Total disappointment given the location near Monopoli I would have gladly eaten the local dairy products. Average rosé wine by the glass. High prices! Friendly staff but I wouldn't go back.

19/04/2025: Fabulous croissants (maybe SOMETIMES a little too hot, because they were freshly baked). Excellent coffee. I have always been welcomed with kindness, friendliness and professionalism. Unfortunately this morning I noticed some changes in the staff and I confess I was a little disappointed. But the quality and courtesy will certainly remain unchanged.
31/03/2025: Closed without notice but it's annoying that it shows the business open and I'm looking after having driven two km without any sense.
