The staff is kind and friendly, yet professional. We stopped for breakfast out of curiosity and for the convenient location, but once inside, we were amazed at how comfortable we felt, as if we'd been coming here forever. The next day, the staff remembered us, which is not a given! The selection is impressive, and the quality is equally impressive. Highly recommended!

21/09/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Felix Taverna dei Pescatori – Let Yourself Be Guided The first thing I asked for when ordering was my usual spaghetti with clams. The owner, Felix, with his fake-gruff demeanor, rolled his eyes and replied, "More!? We have them if you want, but today we have this. Trust me." Faced with my insistence, he turned to my girlfriend: "From now on, I'll only talk to you, not to him." So they chose the dishes. We started with a small appetizer: boiled mantis shrimp, delicious, plus a seafood tramezzino, which I ate on faith. For me, spaghetti with pesto and Sorrento lemon zest, imposed by the two people behind me. For her, fusilloni with zucchini and zucchini flowers stuffed with mussels. A perfect blend of sea and land, accompanied by an excellent bottle of Arneis. It was pleasant to be there, in that spot next to the harbor, on a beautiful day when, around 1 pm, we could enjoy a cool breeze coming from the sea. A lunch that wasn't just food, but an experience. We didn't eat anything else today, but this review is also an opportunity to take stock of another dinner a few days ago. And precisely because we had such a good time the other evening—I think it was Wednesday—we returned. On Wednesday, we were greeted with an appetizer, again with mantis shrimp, and with gratinated mussels, which I'm fond of (I'm a creature of habit). Then, after requesting the usual roast sea bass, the owner "scolded" me, pointing out that, since the fishing ban had ended just the day before, the sea had yielded the best there was on the market and that eating a training fish was crazy. So we ate a mixed grill of monkfish, sole, uniquely delicious calamari, and more. In their simplicity, it was like eating the sea. The lemon? Felix replied, "It's just for garnish. It's not used on good fish." It was a sublime evening, too. Felix's friendliness makes everything more authentic; the courtesy of his wife, who, alongside him, does the hosting for every table, makes you feel welcomed like family. And then the waiters, chosen from among the young men from Fano who are eager to gain experience: with their good-natured manner, they immediately put you at ease, as if the person serving you were the son of a family friend or a nephew. And as soon as you enter, you understand that the experience at Felix Taverna dei Pescatori is different: the two signs at the entrance say it all. "If you're in a hurry, this is not your restaurant" and "Here we cook, not bake." Two signs that make you smile, but they perfectly capture the spirit of the place: here, the weather is right for real cooking, not for reheating something in a pan. Eventually, I realized that those signs weren't a warning, but a promise. A promise kept.
21/09/2025: We spontaneously wandered in from the beach on a Saturday evening: A top-notch host who read our hunger like a palmist at a fair. Whether antipasti, first courses, or second courses, everything was a perfect match for our tastes. And the service team was always attentive and courteous. On top of that, we found the whole experience to be excellent value for money. Thank you, Felix, for the highlight of a nearly perfect day.

02/09/2025: I was craving a bombolone and decided to try this pastry shop. Although the exterior initially left me a bit perplexed because it looked drier, I was soon convinced. They were delicious with both cream and Nutella. I can say the same about the whole wheat brioche filled with berry jam. The filling system is clever, with the product cut lengthwise and filled by hand, resulting in a more uniform distribution of the filling compared to the traditional use of a piping bag.

08/07/2025: Nuestra primera impresión del restaurante fue entrar al comedor al aire libre detrás del restaurante. El ruido del tráfico se desvanecía y los exuberantes jardines de arbustos y las cortinas de techo creaban la atmósfera de un cenador en una finca rural donde podían reunirse familias numerosas. El personal fue amable y atento al explicarnos el menú y hacer ajustes para que nuestras comidas fueran exactamente lo que queríamos. Los ingredientes eran frescos y locales, la preparación era sabrosa e inventiva, y la presentación era excelente. Toda la experiencia fue relajada y relajante. Fue una comida memorable.

21/08/2025: This week in Fano, I had the pleasure of visiting this café and pastry shop, and it quickly became my go-to. The counter staff is incredibly kind, always smiling and helpful, even at peak times: a welcome that truly makes a difference, and the waitress is also very helpful. The cappuccino is simply perfect, creamy and uniquely flavorful—I'd say the best I've ever had. The pastry shop is rich and well-stocked at all hours, with a variety of fresh desserts that make you want to return every day. It's a shame there isn't a pastry shop so close to home: it would be a daily temptation! This place is definitely worth a visit, and I recommend it to anyone in Fano.

23/06/2025: Mancavamo da tanti anni (troppi) da questa deliziosa Osteria dove il menù viene raccontato a voce (ma per chi non può farne a meno è sempre possibile chiedere i prezzi) e ogni portata è davvera buonissima. Per antipasto c'è il Crostuovo (loro cavallo di battaglia) oppure l'abbondante e squisito tagliere con formaggi e salumi accompagnato dalla crescia cotta sulla brace (noi abbiamo preso quest'ultimo). Abbiamo quindi proseguito con due primi, dei cappelleti e delle tagliatelle con verdure di stagione e funghi, entrambi ottimi (unica nota negativa della serata, le tagliatelle non erano per nulla abbondanti), infine una squisita tagliata e la buonissima salsiccia di cinta senese sempre accompagnati dalla loro crescia calda (attenzione può creare dipendenza); non abbiamo provato i (ricordo deliziosi) animali da cortile ma la persona vegetariana che ci accompagnava ha avuto la sua soddisfazione anche nei buonissimi contorni. Splendido pure il dolce (panna cotta e tortino caldo di tanta cioccolata) e carta dei vini molto ricercata e con prezzi corretti. Il conto non è leggero ma la qualità si paga

30/08/2025: A historic establishment, a delight no matter what you choose. The kindness and professionalism of the staff is impeccable, always smiling. Even though it's clearly a high-end place, you always feel welcomed no matter how you show up. Special mention for Gilda (the dog).
25/08/2025: Breakfast with two little girls, who each ordered four macarons, which ended up costing €2.50 each. I checked the price on the receipt. We deduced that the €58 per kg listed for this place's typical mini pastries was also applied to the macarons, which weren't minis. They were good, yes, but they weren't any different from many other macarons. They're cheaper in France. We felt like a joke. I don't think we'll be back, for the sake of principle. And there are many other competitors in the city that are equally worthy, and also offer small pastries. Something the Sabaudia macarons didn't have. We were honestly disappointed, and not just because of the price, but because of the concept of an elaborate pastry, which our eight were not.
