Chiccoteca In Pesaro

Well-kept restaurant. Quality food. While visiting Pescara, we stopped here out of curiosity to try the pizza; unfortunately, they don't serve it at lunchtime. We tried the Ascoli olives and the piadina: very good. The mayonnaise was superb. We appreciated the low salt content in the dishes. This enhances the flavors of the other ingredients and makes everything taste much better. It's a little more expensive than other restaurants, but you can taste the difference.

A very interesting place, with reasonably good natural products. The location is excellent, ideal for breakfast, lunch, or even business meetings. The only flaw, unfortunately quite significant, concerns the staff: I found them very superficial, distracted, and not very attentive to the customer. This aspect risks ruining everything else, which otherwise has great potential.

Before the presentation of a course in the Therapeutic Cycle, we decide to have dinner together at the Chiccoteca and, precisely to avoid being in a rush, we meet an hour early. A glance at the menu and considering that the presentation starts at 8pm, we are ready to order... 1st response from the girls serving..."we're coming".... another 10 minutes pass (in the meantime the last friend who had already anticipated what she wanted to eat also arrives), ritual greetings, kisses and hugs and, considering that it was certainly not our intention to eat like a sore thumb, we communicate for the 2nd time that we are ready to order, adding that we will be quick, because we have all already chosen and we have to go to the presentation which will be held at the Chiccoteca restaurant, on the upper floor... 2nd response "we're coming... there are two of us".....😳 I look around, and at the time of the response only 5 tables were occupied (considering those next to the entrance) .. however... 5 tables... and it seems there is already some rush... the girl we spoke to, tells the other that... in light of what was said... she goes to take the order from two other tables 🤣 Result? Order received at 7:40 PM... 5 pizzas and a main course... delivered at 7:53 PM... after, of course, the delivery of pizzas and dishes to 2 tables, who arrived after us 🤣... so, 7 minutes to eat... and luckily, we moved slowly, Zen philosophy... and we didn't rush anyone. The three stars are for the pizza, which was good overall. For the rest, there's room for improvement, both in terms of order processing times (not pizza preparation times, as the two pizza chefs were quick), and the courtesy of the serving girls, and in paying more attention to the order in which the tables arrived (I don't want to believe it was an intentional choice to serve two other tables first that had arrived later), and also because I would have liked to have a dessert too, which wasn't possible because, poor our friend who was giving the presentation, we arrived late and we were very sorry, because then at the cashier we obviously took even longer to pay!!!

Good experience! Vegetarian food and good wine.
