06/04/2026: Fabulous place, top-notch cuisine and products, well-cooked and served by a staff that is always friendly and helpful. The highlight is when it comes time for boiled and roasted meats, a trolley arrives full of delicacies, boiled and roasted, cooked to perfection and served by Maurizio (the owner) with a kindness and skill that I have seen few others. Congratulations again to everyone, the only unpleasant thing is having to go home.

16/03/2026: Family lunch to celebrate my birthday. All in all, the food was good, with a good menu choice and good quality. The outdoor location could use a makeover, even though the courtyard is in the countryside. The interior is very vintage, dating from around 1850 to the post-war period. For lovers of this style, it's excellent, but personally, I find it overdone... but still, maximum respect. 👍🙏

13/11/2025: While visiting the area we made a reservation via the website and received a message saying they cannot confirm our booking. I asked if they were open at all they replied that they were but could not confirm the booking. I asked what time they were open until thinking if they couldn’t seat us maybe we could order and take it with us. Being off season there weren’t many vegetarian restaurants open so we were pretty much counting on this one. After asking several times this is the exact answer I received :” I’m sorry, you don’t understand, its not a question of being open or closed, its a question that we cannot confirm your reservation. “ I found this extremely rude and decided head to Verona instead. Since I can't respond to the response for my review i am updating instead: I will update that i received your response and i'm sorry but i just can't accept what you are now saying. You could have replied: "sorry we are closed for a private event, would you like to come another time?" Instead here as and exact copy of the conversation from whatsapp: Hello Me: Can we come for lunch today? 2 people you: I'm sorry, we cannot confirm your Booking. Me: Are you open today? You: Yes we are, but i cannot confirm your booking Me: Until what time are you open? you: Again, we cannot confirm your booking me: I understand But we want to come without a reservation Unless you are closed. What time do you close? you: I’m sorry, you don’t understand, its not a question of being open or closed, its a question that we cannot confirm your reservation. You could have just said there was a private event. I suspect you did not want to host us specifically for some reason..

07/04/2026: We had the opportunity to have Easter lunch there, and I must say the food was excellent, made with quality ingredients. The friendly and attentive service and the quaint setting made for a truly wonderful lunch! If we return to Mantua, we'll definitely come back!

07/04/2026: We stopped for lunch on Easter Monday. It was very good, especially the trio of first courses, which we highly recommend! The cheese board was also excellent. We didn't order dessert because we were full, but the sbrisolona cake that came with coffee was delicious. (Thank you, by the way, for free coffee!) The place is close to the center but on a quiet street. The owner was very kind on the phone when we asked for an extra seat. Recommended!
