We stopped for lunch on Easter Monday. It was very good, especially the trio of first courses, which we highly recommend! The cheese board was also excellent. We didn't order dessert because we were full, but the sbrisolona cake that came with coffee was delicious. (Thank you, by the way, for free coffee!) The place is close to the center but on a quiet street. The owner was very kind on the phone when we asked for an extra seat. Recommended!

We had the opportunity to have Easter lunch there, and I must say the food was excellent, made with quality ingredients. The friendly and attentive service and the quaint setting made for a truly wonderful lunch! If we return to Mantua, we'll definitely come back!

A welcoming and authentic restaurant right in the city center, just steps from Piazza Sordello!
Daniele, the owner, shares his passion for Mantua's culinary and winemaking traditions with tasty, hearty dishes and local wines. We had one of his delicious platters as an appetizer, followed by pumpkin tortelli and donkey stew. To finish, we ordered the classic sbrisolona with zabaglione cream. Since we were the last ones in, we had a pleasant chat with Daniele, who kindly offered us a taste of the traditional cream with chocolate cream and zabaglione!
An excellent wine rounded out our experience.
All at a fair price!
We'll definitely be back to try Daniele's risotto alla pilota (reservations required).

A small restaurant with meticulous attention to detail. Very good traditional food; we ordered a mixed platter of delicious cured meats, especially the shoulder, which melted in the mouth. Two first courses, including macaroni with donkey stew, were delicious, and pumpkin and sausage lasagna was well-made and, above all, plentiful, which isn't something everyone can do these days. Excellent selection of well-chosen wines; we paired them with a top-quality sparkling wine.
I'd say everything was perfect, worthy of the 5 stars. We'll definitely be back.

The place is very small, with limited seating. However, the food is very good. We stopped for lunch and sampled some of the traditional dishes. They were delicious, and the portions were generous. The staff was extremely courteous, professional, and quick with their service.

A pleasant discovery, a truly charming place with meticulous attention to detail. The welcome was very warm and attentive. The food is truly unique, and you can taste the passion they put into cooking. I don't have any photos of the dishes because I was too busy enjoying the moment. Highly recommended.

The restaurant is small, so reservations are always essential. The food is excellent, with the trio of ravioli and tortelli being exceptional. The wines are excellent (the Lambrusco is delicious), also available by the glass, to pair with the dishes. The service is friendly and fast.
