Mutty In Castiglione delle stiviere

What a wonderful journey this restaurant has been!

My wife and I happened to be in the historic center of Castiglione delle Stiviere on a gloomy Saturday in November. It was the usual time for looking for a place to grab a quick bite, certainly not a proper lunch. It felt like we were back in the COVID era; there wasn't a soul around, and all that was missing was a civil defense vehicle urging residents to stay indoors through a megaphone. The only open trattoria, unfortunately, required reservations, but the owner kindly directed us to a certain Mutty, further down the road, where we might find something to eat. Google listed the place with "books, exhibitions, cuisine." Wow! What a strange combination. Unconvinced, we arrived and went in. We were quite old when we entered... but by the time we left, we had undoubtedly aged significantly. Nothing to complain about the dishes offered; they are a triumph of vegetarian and vegan cuisine, elaborately prepared and elegantly garnished and served. Great music and a modern, original atmosphere. If we hadn't had more than a hundred kilometers to travel home, we could have stayed put ad libitum. Remember, however, that from Mutty you enter a particular state in which the curvature of spacetime undergoes a transformation according to the concept of general relativity. You could exit Mutty and find yourself face to face with Rodolfo Gonzaga in the Castiglione del Lago of 149...almost 1500, and then perhaps you too would want to go and stop Christopher Columbus so that a Donald Trump never becomes President...

I was a bit pre-judged when I read the menu, but we actually ate very well! The location in the garden is very beautiful.

Had lunch here. Positive experience... I've never eaten such tasty vegetables, cooked and presented as well as here. Very good natural wines, top-notch staff... I recommend it.

After an extremely satisfying first experience, I returned for lunch and can confirm my high level of appreciation for the food, service, and atmosphere. Each dish is a journey through the most authentic and healthy flavors and fills you with emotion. The ingredients are of the highest quality, the pairings are perfect, and everything contributes to making Mutty's dishes nourishment for body and soul. The price is very fair.
