03/09/2025: Truly top-notch lake fish, as per local tradition! A beautiful location with a lake view, which can be enjoyed from the outdoor terrace or from a window. The interior is also enhanced by a rock face from the adjacent mountain. The wine list is also adequate; I tasted an excellent Kerner Alto Adige (even though Franciacorta is just a stone's throw away), which pairs perfectly with the cuisine. Well done!

01/09/2025: It wasn't what I expected. "Trattoria," in my opinion, should meet certain standards. This is a superior restaurant. As for the food, I don't know if I'd say it was bad, but I definitely wouldn't go back. Nothing special. The location certainly isn't a trattoria, but it certainly is, and the view makes a difference! Of course, this is my opinion, not a criticism. I was simply looking for a trattoria where I could try something traditional, and that wasn't the case.

21/07/2025: Welcomed by a gentleman who treated us with great care, his fine cuisine is exquisite! It's worth ordering 2-3 dishes (Italian style) because the portions aren't large, so you'll enjoy the delicious food right up until dessert. Go for it... Bon appétit!

02/08/2025: Wir sind die Zweiten, die kommen und können einen genial schönen Tisch in der Ecke auslesen, direkt am Fenster mit Aussicht auf den herrlich gepflegten Park. Wunderbar. Ich nehme einen Friseesalat mit Wolfsbarschfilet und rosa Pfeffer. L. bekommt Tagliolini, hausgemacht mit Oliven und Lachs. Zum Hauptgang nimmt er Rinderfilet mit Kartoffeln und einer super feinen Soße. Und ich nehme Gnocchi mit Herzmuscheln an einer weissen Soße. Total lecker. Dazu gibt es ein Ruero Arneis. Die Bedienung ist sehr aufmerksam und herzlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

26/07/2025: Wat een feest om hier een week vakantie te mogen vieren. We hadden een mooie kamer met een prachtig terras met uitzicht op het Iseomeer. Al het personeel is even gastvrij en heel erg behulpzaam. Het ontbijt en diner zijn van zeer goede kwaliteit. Wij komen heel graag weer terug.

03/08/2025: Me and my girlfriend arrived late evening on a Sunday and found this pearl! They stayed open when we arrived, the last dinner guest had already left. Best food so far on our trip in Italy. The balsamico meat was amazing and so tender! Also amazing service!!! Our waiter was so kind and made the whole experience a 10/10. 02/09/2025: After a decade of what I consider a homely management, Ristorante ZU, led by a talented young chef, Angelo, has decided to completely modernize and revolutionize the restaurant's cuisine. I was 90% sold on the €80 menu. Everything was delicious and perfectly balanced; I believe this ability to balance flavors and combine them with herbs and spices is Angelo's forte. The menu is very simple but surprising. The ingredients are relatively simple and excellently prepared. What I would have liked is a slightly larger portion of the proteins included, such as trout and lamb, which were objectively underserved. One negative point, but it could be a completely personal impression and taste, is that I really don't like tables without tablecloths. Putting cutlery on the table is just something I don't like. Furthermore, they are basic plywood tables that don't do justice to the location. The chairs are also very minimal and very uncomfortable. I recommend reconsidering this in the future. The service is very attentive and attentive, as well as competent. The chef's visits to the table to explain the main dishes were also very welcome.

31/08/2025: Seafood pasta was so fresh, al dente just right, maybe the best part of the night. Then grilled fish, also tasty, like from the sea the same day, I keep thinking about that flavor. Inside was warm, bit crowded but not too much, people talking, laughing, it felt real italian not some fake tourist place. The waiter told us about a local white wine, he spoke a lot, but was nice, it matched well, I liked it. Prices... yeah not cheap, but not crazy either, felt ok at the end, left happy, maybe would return.

28/07/2025: A happy accident finding Al Puerto, nearly a year ago my father and I had the most amazing dining experience! Turns out, there was a really interesting area near our hotel that had loads of great restaurants called Darsena del Naviglio, the gateway to Naviglio Grande & Naviglio Pavese - two of the five canals of Milan. I set our sites on one destination as we spontaneously chose the first restaurant we encountered: Al Puerto! This was a wonderful chance for dad and I to enjoy some amazing seafood in a creative and traditional fashion. Everything was meticulous, and I’ve never seen waiters work so, so, so hard! We were on a second story mezzanine of the restaurant and every turn of food was brought up and down those stairs. One of the most impressive displays of service I’ve ever seen, hands down! This restaurant puts every waiter in Vegas, NYC, Paris and Rome to shame. This phenomenal dinner is owed mainly in part to our server Luigi (in the photo with my father and I) as he ensured the best service, quality, and flavors in all of Italy. He went above and beyond what I would ask any waiter for, and yet, his service kept surprising my father and I as he also brought out fun treats and special flavors that we wouldn’t even know to ask for. In addition to this, the aesthetic of the restaurant was beautiful, rustic, and thematic from all angles. I wish we didn't eat so quickly so I could've taken better photos, so we will have to return soon! In addition, Signore Cico and Signore Lorenzi were incredible gentlemen of class and passion, both elevating our experience and encapsulating the memories with incredible service, history, information, insight, amicability and quality. This experience is worth passing on to others, even a year later, this was the most memorable dining experience of all Italy and in all my travels. Please keep up the impeccable quality that you bring to the world, it's an honor to dine here! You easily see, smell, and taste every flavor from beginning to end! Go, book a reservation, & explore with an open palate!
