02/08/2024: The food was awful. The waitress wasn't working. The appetizer came at the same time as the entre, and my second plate came an hour after my first plate.

30/07/2024: A wonderful experience as a couple :) we booked here by chance to spend an evening at the port of Nettuno and I must say that the dinner was truly magnificent: kind and attentive staff, clean environment (with kitchen open to the customer, not hidden, which I always appreciate very much), beautiful and abundant dishes. I highly recommend the trio of tartare and the calamarata: excellent flavours, you can feel the quality of the fish. Desserts well served, very varied. Absolutely approved

But the reason why I write this review is for the quality and choice of gluten-free food: FINALLY A BAR HERE IN THE CASTELLI THAT HAS GLUTEN-FREE PASTRY, croissants and SANDWICHES AS WELL AS PINSA, FRIED SUSHI, EVERYTHING GLUTEN-FREE!!!! Bar number 1 . Thank you for your quality and professionalism

12/08/2024: questo ristorante quasi centenario ha avuto in tutti questi anni varie evoluzioni e cambiamenti di gestioni, questa è l'ennesima proprietà che secondo il mio parere è ancora confusa e disorientata. Non è sufficiente pitturare le pareti per poter credere di aver rinnovato un ristorante. La strada da fare è lunga ma deve essere sopratutto determinata e chiara. Attualmente questo ristorante non mi ha concquistato, manca la vera tradizione ma soprattutto l'innovazione, ho avvertito approssimazione e scarsa incisività nelle proposte. Finchè ci si trova nei paraggi può starci una sosta presso questo ristorante, ma di certo non ci parto dalla capitale appositamente. Speriamo che con il tempo si maturi una linea da intraprendere per le prossime stagioni.

02/07/2024: With its renovated terrace and revamped menu, 1929 is even better than when we first visited many years ago. Though they tout their daily catch, ask for the menu. I started with raw red shrimp, followed by a pasta with shrimp and asparagus, sprinkled with bottarga, that was so rich, I couldn’t eat dessert. And the server’s choice of wine, a Tuscan Vermentino for only 20 euros, was a perfect compliment.

29/08/2024: It's a shame there aren't 6 stars, it deserves them all. Wide choice of first courses, second courses, side dishes and more. Quality and very fresh food, the right seasoning that enhances the flavor of the food. All completed by the kindness, helpfulness and professionalism of the staff. Well done everyone! Try the pistachio coffee....superb!

19/07/2024: It is a half self-service bar - restaurant. You can opt for a typical Italian bar meal (panini, pizze, etc.) or for a more self-service formula with ready-made dishes (pasta, vegetables, salads, etc.). We opted for one or the other and both were very good, very fresh. The service is very attentive and allows you to compose to meet all your expectations. Very diligent and friendly staff. There is a large air-conditioned room and a shaded terrace. Mixed population, locals and tourists. We find a certain authenticity. In addition, the espresso - the coffee... - is particularly good, as strong as you like. It would almost be more of a Neapolitan café than a Roman one. Well done. We'll come back.

18/08/2024: DON'T BE CAUGHT BY THE NOSE A wine shop or a wine bar? The price of a takeaway bottle costs almost triple... Let's clarify, can a wine that the house sells for €14 and that you can easily find online for €9/10 cost €24 to takeaway? It's fine at the bar but if you define yourself as a "wine shop" you charge the market prices of a wine shop, which can normally be more expensive than offers online, but offers a service of assortment and expertise that is absolutely non-existent here, but the joke, at the most of the lawyer, is to make a price almost double that of the official list of the house. Stay away and don't be fooled!
