23/11/2025: The restaurante is beautifully decorated, mainly with wood furnitures. That gives a cozy vibe. The waiters were very attentive. The food was tasty. I ordered a Flan alla Erbe di Campo con Salsa di Montasio as Antipasto, and a Risotto Al Boschetto as Primi. We were a group of 4, and went on a Saturday for dinner. We did a reservation so I am not sure if it is possible to go spontaneously.

24/12/2025: This restaurant, where I've been before, has a reputation that's spreading like wildfire; everyone knows about it and everyone praises the quality of its food. The interior is very beautiful, and the food is top-notch, as are the wines. It's recommended to park a little further away to enjoy the narrow streets that lead to this restaurant in beautiful Cividale.

02/09/2025: The pistachio and chocolate ice cream cake was mostly chocolate-flavored, with the pistachio taste being very subtle. Still, it was absolutely delicious! The cannoli are also amazing — creamy, fresh, and full of flavor. I highly recommend trying the desserts at this pasticceria; a real treat for anyone with a sweet tooth

30/12/2025: Excellent restaurant, you pay little and you eat a lot, friendly, smiling and attentive staff... I recommend taking 1 dish to share between 2 people because the portions are generous.
13/12/2025: How much can go wrong if you stay in business for decades? The portions are for two, so they're a bit more expensive plus the cover charge, but still quite affordable for two people. It's certainly not a high-end restaurant, but it's pretty solid/good.

10/10/2025: Small pizzeria at the foot of the Zoncolan.
Delicious pizza, and especially the tiramisu, deserves a mention. Definitely try it!
The Friuli Bianco wine is also highly recommended.
Service was very friendly and attentive despite the language barrier.
We really enjoyed it and would love to come back next time we're in Friuli.

It's also a great choice for an aperitif.
I'm really drawn to the gelato and plan to try it next time.
The people who work here are professional and, which is not a given in Friuli, extremely kind and cheerful. I'll definitely be back.

This is thanks to a truly top-notch cuisine, capable of ensuring unparalleled quality year after year... for decades. When I enter this restaurant, I sometimes feel like I'm entering a church; a secular church, filled with the aromas of times past and the authenticity that has always been at home here.

13/12/2025: It's one of our favorite restaurants when we stop on our Italy-Austria trips.
The quality is simply excellent. From appetizers to first courses, second courses, and side dishes.
And when you think you're full, dessert arrives... the crispy yet soft millefeuille with vanilla ice cream is simply sublime.
They're worthy of representing Italian food, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Anyway, I had a great time; they gave me advice and explained what I could understand. I gave them some gifts, which were very well received... from people who know wine well. I don't know about the price, but I don't think it depends on them.

05/01/2026: Beautiful place - exquisite staff, a nice simple menu... but... regarding my choice of "boĺlito" I would have appreciated it if it had been at least lukewarm and not COLD. And from my long experience in mountain resorts, strudel with cream is always served "lukewarm".
29/12/2025: Paid €56 and not even a receipt, in a corner, for a boiled meat, a cheese plate, a half-cup of wine, two desserts, and a coffee. A bit excessive.

24/01/2026: I've been frequenting this place occasionally for a while now, and I have to say it's a truly lovely place for a well-deserved break, whether sweet or savory. A welcoming place with ample parking, friendly and always smiling staff (which is a plus), and excellent coffee and pastries. Definitely recommended for anyone passing through!
