03/03/2026: On the way home, the last stop before the Austrian border. Delicious sandwiches, cleanliness, a wide range of products in the shop. We bought ham, salami, cheese, because from here it can last in the trunk all the way home. They were really delicious. I liked that here in Northern Italy you can get by with the German language. The only thing I didn't like was the coffee, but apparently others didn't. I recommend the Autogrill chain along the Italian motorways.

01/03/2026: You can buy fresh baguettes in the store, still warm in the morning. The shower is cramped, there is a small chair to put things on, the water is warm, the renovation is fresh. There is an exit from the parking lot through a gate, you can walk to the waterfall. At the exit, turn left, then right and up in front of the yellow house.

02/03/2026: A very unique place, as is its owner (very friendly). The atmosphere is intimate, but not for everyone. You may or may not like it, but it's definitely worth trying at least once.

25/12/2025: Christmas Eve, €50 per person Seafood buffet, risotto as a first course, bluefin tuna and mashed potatoes, panna cotta and dried fruit as a second course, wine and water included. The salmon was fabulous; we didn't like the tuna because it was too seasoned. Service was fast, friendly, and knowledgeable.

The only downside was that I wasn't able to drink the cocktail I wanted because they ran out of one ingredient. The staff, however, were very kind and helpful.

06/12/2025: My son had been pestering me for a week. Then I gave in: "Let's go to Tormento, son." From the name, I was about to brace myself for the arrival of instant Maalox right after the first bite, but... the packet of Maalox remained untouched. The sandwiches are tasty, large, well-filled, and above all, greasy enough that you're forced to juggle the napkin to save your jeans from painful stains for your wallet. The skill of some of the patrons in avoiding tormenting drips is commendable. The people at the tables are calm, and in this day and age, that's not to be taken lightly. The waiter doesn't even think about technology. He's equipped with a notepad and pen, and with these alone, he takes your order without hesitation. The environment is simple and without the glassware of the Cracco Restaurant it makes it even more pleasant. However, I believe that in the kitchen there is a lady who knows how to do her job well and who loves it and I imagine her with a smile just like Sora Lella's.

29/12/2025: We went here for an aperitif. The poor music and the chilled wine were offset by the kindness and professionalism of the waitress, Martina.

21/12/2025: DavTrieste in Udine is a must-see. Elegant and refined atmosphere with great attention to detail. A nirvana-like atmosphere. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Trying is believing.

31/10/2025: If you manage to stay at 45, there's a good hot shower, a decent toilet, and a 20-minute walk to the sea. There's a room with a washing machine (10 euros) and coffee makers for 1 euro. My colleagues might be unlucky, but they always gave me the keys to the shower in exchange for an ID card.
