06/04/2024: Historic coffee, excellent products, high-level pastries and impeccable service! I love going there to be pampered by their coffees. But.... You MUST do something about those pigeons, they are becoming a problem!

06/04/2024: GREAT COFFEE ! Soon after we arrived at our Airbnb apartment in Bologna on Fri, Sept 29th my wife and I headed out to grab some cash from an ATM. Along the way we had a good look for potential dinner and breakfast places. Across from the ATM we noticed this impressive looking cafe. A quick look inside was enough to confirm it for our cappuccino spot the next morning. AND WE DID ! On Saturday morning we made the 10 minute walk over here for a light brekkie. A sweet cashier named Luna took our order for 2 x Double Shot Cappuccinos ( in their cute little cups ) and 2 x Ham & Cheese Croissants. We paid upfront and sat at a high community bench table at the rear of the cafe. Within a few short minutes our 2 Cappuccinos were placed on the espresso bar counter by Grazia the barista....plus 2 small glasses of Sparkling Water ( palate cleanser ). I had to tell Grazia we don't drink Sparkling Water ( very popular in Italy ). OKAY ! Grazia happily replaced them with small glasses of Still Water ( as they call it ). Our rich tasting cappuccinos tasted fabulous..hard to beat an invigorating coffee early in the morning. Shortly after our Ham & Cheese Croissants arrived and they tasted quite good. This is a pretty flash looking espresso bar / cafe with a huge outdoor dining area. I went for a walk to find the men's restroom...it was upstairs. WOW ! There was a beautiful dining room on the upper floor.....classic Italian style. I took a bunch of pics after using the restroom. Before we left I asked Luna the cashier about dining upstairs. Luna said they serve good pasta and more. When we expressed interest in good pasta dishes Luna quietly told us about her fav pasta restaurant...we hit it that evening and it was sensational ! On Sunday, Oct 1st my wife and I walked the short distance here for our morning coffees. We arrived around 7am and waited a minute or two for them to open. A cashier took our order for 2 x Double Shot Cappuccinos and a sweet pastry for my wife. We were asked if we wanted small glasses of Sparkling Water or Still Water ( to cleanse the palate )...we said still. Our Cappuccinos in cute little cups were placed on the espresso counter within a few minutes. Nothing like a rich tasting cappuccino to get your motor runnin' first thing in the morning. My wife enjoyed her sweet pastry with her invigorating cappuccino. This was the start of a very busy day for us....our last full day in Bologna. THIS WAS A GOOD FIND !

06/04/2024: A classic restaurant, with Bolognese cuisine. I loved the large choice of gluten-free first courses and I really liked the tagliatelle with meat sauce I chose. Starters and desserts not unforgettable but good, especially the parmigiana and tiramisu. Service varies on the presentation of the dishes, but always friendly. I would return to try the other starters.

05/04/2024: Unfortunately you can't give less than one star. To forget, shame on you, searched on TripAdvisor with good reviews and accredited on the AiC site, having a celiac with me I think I'm on the safe side by booking there. He took two Bolognese cutlets, decidedly not Bolognese-style since they were full of cream and they had forgotten the ham, two baked potatoes and a baby spinach. The quality of the food was definitely not up to the bill or even just the location of the restaurant. The thing that angered me the most and made me write this review is that, apart from the bread, the celiac food was not gluten-free, I don't know if it was contaminated or the result of wrong orders, but the boy who was with me was terrible , so much so that we risked calling an ambulance and ruined our evening. In an accredited venue this is something that shouldn't happen because it risks people's health, and for a few extra pennies I don't think it's worth it. Don't be fooled by positive reviews probably written ad hoc like I did. To be absolutely avoided, they poison people.

04/04/2024: I went into this place to eat a pizza, as they have an electric pizza oven and a counter with the ingredients to prepare it. I order a margherita and a medium ichnusa, but I don't see any pizza chef preparing it.... I get a rectangular pizza of the kind with a pre-cooked base, where they probably added a little tomato sauce and a little mozzarella and put it in the electric oven that I glimpsed in the kitchen that they use to heat the sandwiches. I must say that all in all it wasn't bad, as was the excellent Ichnusa on tap. The surprise came when I paid the bill: margherita (pre-cooked base) €10, medium light draft beer €7, cover charge (paper placemat and 1 handkerchief) €1.30 - total €18.30. I'm not arguing about the cover charge... the beer is a little expensive for an ichnusa, but the margherita with a pre-cooked base heated on the oven at €10 isn't cheap. I have a receipt from a pizzeria in Lugano in Switzerland, where margherita + medium beer = 20 CHF, 20 francs... it's not that different from Wolf in terms of amount. But we are in Lugano, not in Cyrenaica.
