The sunset view from San Domenico is simply breathtaking—one of those views that makes you pause for a moment before ordering, because you realize you're looking at something rare. That alone would be worth the visit. But the cuisine is no exception: the gnocchi with gurnard, snapper, strawberries, and chili pepper are an extraordinary dish—creativity, technique, and Calabrian terroir blend impeccably. Sweet, seafood, spicy. A balance few manage to achieve. The service is top-notch, attentive, and never intrusive. Special mention to Maria Concetta, whose professionalism and warmth made the evening even more enjoyable—the kind of welcome that makes you feel like a guest, not a customer. San Domenico plays in Serie A. One of the best restaurants on the Calabrian coast, without a doubt.

29/07/2026: We were pretty jetlagged still, and really didn't know what time it was, and happened to go just before the World Cup final started. Probably because of this, we had the pleasure of having the whole place to ourselves for the entire meal, and consequently had a personal waiter & private chef! Both were excellent at what they did, and we were served an amazing seafood feast that I am jealous of myself for having. It was a very enjoyable evening.

19/07/2026: Excellent restaurant in Chiaia. We ordered the pasta with seafood and it was excellent. They have a very comprehensive tasting menu.

23/08/2026: A truly fantastic experience! The restaurant is in a great location, and we had a truly wonderful meal. The fish is delicious, fresh, and prepared with great care: every dish won us over! We also really appreciated the set menu, a truly wonderful idea that allows you to savor different specialties without having to choose from so many options. We are very satisfied with the evening and the overall experience. Congratulations to all the staff! Highly recommended, we will definitely be back!

23/08/2026: Unfortunately, the experience wasn't the best. The wait was truly excessive: we waited about an hour and a half for our dishes. We were told that the wait was partly due to the fact that we had chosen different dishes, but such a long wait still seemed excessive. Furthermore, the menu lists a choice of pizzas, but in reality, they served a rather small pinsa, which left us a bit disappointed because it didn't match what we expected from the menu. Overall, we expected a better experience.

27/07/2026: A slightly out-of-the-way café, spotless, with a clientele of regulars a world away from a tourist trap. I haven't had an aperitivo like this in ages. Excellent spritz, generous and flavorful accompaniments. Quick service, very reasonable prices. A must-try in Tropea, you won't be disappointed!

20/08/2026: Excellent little restaurant serving typical local products. The strozzapreti with mushrooms and sausage was a real hit, made with top-quality ingredients. I wasn't so happy with the appetizer, which was a collection of jars and preserves, cured meats, and cheeses. Fixed-price menu.

16/08/2026: We visited this restaurant on August 15th. Compared to other places we'd had lunch, we must say we appreciated several things. First of all, we were seated comfortably, not crammed in like sardines trying to get reservations. The service was quick and the staff were friendly. The food was excellent. I would have appreciated it if they'd added a few more pieces of meat to the grilled main course, to make it a complete barbecue. Dessert could also have been added to the menu, even at a higher price. In any case, highly recommended; excellent!

17/04/2026: Great located place nice atmosphere but good portion ridiculous € 20.00 for small portion of pasta. We had few drinks and 4 main courses but all of them except pizza which had my little girl daughter all 3 main courses are terrible.

22/08/2026: A true gem in Parghelia. Far from the usual tourist cliché, here you can still breathe the atmosphere of a typical village bar where the coffee is excellent. If you're passing through, I recommend taking a break from the tourist hustle and bustle and enjoying the simplicity of a good cocktail. Another strong point is the genuine friendliness of the staff. Fair prices and an old-world atmosphere.
