30/11/2025: Amateurism and dishonesty! I don't normally write reviews, but last Sunday's experience, on the occasion of my daughter's confirmation, forces me to express my deep disappointment. After having agreed in detail, a month in advance, on the menu for our children's confirmation (5 families for a total of about 100 seats) and communicated the number of participants within the requested timeframe, when it came to service, we were confronted with the utter inability to manage such an event. In fact: - The food served was of extremely poor quality (defrosted, industrial, undercooked food). I've never had a worse meal! - The menu served was partly different from what was agreed upon. - The food, brought to the tables on plastic trays, was not enough for everyone. - The serving utensils were missing, so everyone had to serve themselves with their own. Some tables were even missing plates. There wasn't enough staff, which meant the wait times were significantly extended, creating inconvenience especially for out-of-town guests. The fact that Mrs. Silvia, the restaurant manager with whom we made the arrangements, "coincidentally" wasn't present, much less answered the phone, leads me to believe that the above was the result of conscious decisions.

29/11/2025: Evening tennis reservation, late November. Winter rate with lights and heating. The instructor leaves the court the hour before, the court is perfectly heated. Five minutes later, the fans begin to blast icy air, and continue to do so for the entire hour, making the climate exactly the same as outside the ball court (a November evening in Turin, so 37-39°F). When simply asked for an explanation, the manager at reception offers somewhat fanciful explanations, such as the thermostat reaching its maximum temperature when the heating was literally turned off for an hour, and the temperature inside the ball court was 41°F at most. No one requests any kind of refund, especially since it's not the 3 euros out of 35 that make the difference. An apology would certainly have been appropriate, rather than the teasing or the arrogant, presumptuous attitude we received.

08/12/2025: We ate with friends today. Unfortunately, the menu was very limited. We had two lactose intolerant and vegetarian guests (no choice for them), even though we'd let them know before booking. The lady who runs the restaurant was very cold, and the service was inadequate.

21/09/2025: The place is beautiful and quaint, the dishes are refined and delicious, the only real flaw is that the service was extremely slow. We ordered the first course at 1:00 PM and ate two courses in an hour and a half. Finally, we ordered dessert and coffee, but after a 20-minute wait, we forgot about dessert and waited another 15 minutes for coffee. Two hours is definitely too long to eat two courses. This is why it's given a one-star review. Plus, you can't pay by credit card, only cash. I can't recommend the place.

23/06/2025: I often travel the Strada Provinciale ex Strada Statale 412 della Val Tidone, since I live in a nearby town, and along the way I pass in front of at least three gas stations ... but in the end I always choose this one! It is definitely worth the detour: more convenient prices. It has become my point of reference for filling up while spending less.

18/11/2025: Our time at Castello di Sinio was nothing short of extraordinary. What impressed us most was the meticulous planning Denise and her team handled for our stay. And then—the dinner. Truly world-class. The kind of meal that makes you pause mid-bite, look around the table, and silently agree that you’ll be talking about this night for years. Every dish showcased local ingredients, deep knowledge, and a chef's touch that borders on magic. One of the highlights of our entire trip was the pasta-making class hosted by Denise herself. It was fun, hands-on, charmingly educational, and absolutely delicious. Denise has an incredible gift for teaching and making everyone feel like part of something special. We didn’t just learn how to make pasta — we created one of the happiest memories of our journey. If you're considering a stay at Castello di Sinio, don't hesitate. It’s rare to find a place where hospitality, warmth, expertise, and true passion come together so naturally. Denise and her staff have built something remarkable, and we are already dreaming of our next visit.

20/10/2025: i recently stayed at the Castello for two nights and the Hotel emailed me to ask how my stay was. I responded by email, but sadly never heard back. I was in two minds about posting but as I never heard back please see below my view. I think that the hotel needs investment if seeking luxury and guests to want to come to the hotel for more than one night !! There needs to be a slight adjustment in the Hotel attitude which starts with the main gate signs that say no arrival before 2 pm, no outside visitors and then you also find that you can’t use the pool after 2 pm on departure day without being charged extra. In addition the Hotel has such a beautiful garden area, it’s a shame they don’t bother putting any cushions out and making it look nice other than leaving undressed tables and ones immagination as to how nice it could be. The hotel needs to create a more welcoming atmosphere with a lunch menu and dinner menu. Seems particularly weird that people will drive up to 30 minutes to other restaurants, but no one seems to want to drive to your hotel for lunch or dinner. You need to ask yourself why...... The pool chairs are particularly uncomfortable and should have cushions and they should be placed out every day automaticaly. In the bedroom it’s a shame you have to ask for a mattress topper and decent feather pillows in order to have a comfortable nights sleep. The bathrooms, particular the showers need a little bit of an upgrade. At least there is plenty of hot water..... No idea if the air-conditioning works but if it doesn’t then that would make a disastrous night sleep in your hotel. Luckily we were able to sleep with the windows open this trip. The furniture in your reception area is so large that basically makes it almost impossible to sit round without having to put one’s feet on top of the coffee table ! When sitting here people dont want to stare into the kitchen so door should be kept closed. It’s a great shame, but with 10% more effort maybe it could be 50% better. I would not rush back nor recommend to others based on my experiance. Next time would do more research as there has to be better as a very pretty area of Italy In the meantime we did have a lovely time touring the Barolo villages, tasting wine and eating in other restaurants.

28/10/2025: We found this restaurant by chance on Google, the reviews weren't great but we gave it the benefit of the doubt, even from the outside it wasn't the best, it gave a bad impression but we decided to go in anyway, not even the time to sit down and take off our jackets, we were greeted by two tiny vegetable meatballs as a no-nonsense welcome, the waiter arrives with two slices of cooked salami and two of cacciatorino, immediately after two small tomini covered in spicy with mushrooms that came out of the jar under water without any seasoning or anything, disgusting I would say, then another slightly strange waiter arrives with a serving dish (for the whole room) where he pours 7 agnolotti with butter and sage (watered down) to everyone, without asking what we wanted or at least asking if we wanted the menu or if there was a written sheet to know how it worked... We found ourselves eating the surprise Sunday fixed menu which was nothing short of inedible as far as I'm concerned, tagliolini with truffle drowned in water and cream, agnolotti with tasteless white ragù, 1 soggy and tasteless slice of cotechino with tasteless instant polenta full of grated cheese, 1 slice of caramelized pumpkin that would have been good if it weren't for the moldy taste! It really disgusted me, for dessert, cream swirl soaked in water, very bitter coffee that seemed burnt, 1.5 l mineral water. In a plastic bottle from Lidl at a cost of €4 are we crazy????. In the end €40 per person to eat the inedible, you eat sooo much better in company canteens!!!! Between being overcooked everything and tasteless full of grated cheese everywhere (unsolicited) without asking, or saying if there are food intolerances or what... this is there and this is what you eat!!! Really not good flavors, I'm sorry to say this, but I will NEVER go back there AGAIN!!! And as much as I love animals, it doesn't seem hygienic to me—there's a big dog in the kitchen! Best wishes to anyone who plans to go!

25/10/2025: Basic decor... very noisy... mediocre food...

11/12/2025: I went for lunch. The service was excellent and impeccable. The beef carpaccio appetizer with parmesan shavings and excellent truffle oil was excellent. The pumpkin and chestnut gnocchi were very good, although the toma cheese sauce overpowered the flavor a bit. The beef stew was super tender. For sides: roast potatoes (unfortunately cold) and spoon polenta and lard (this last combination was a bit risky). Finally, the dessert was excellent. An experience to remember!

09/12/2025: An elegant restaurant part of the Star Hotel Majestic chain, located in the heart of Turin. Refined cuisine at prices that reflect this quality. Very professional and friendly staff; reservations are recommended.

27/09/2025: Closed for over a month. They haven't reopened since the summer holidays. A faded note said they'd be back on August 30th. Let's hope they reopen sooner or later. The kebab was good and the prices were fair.

19/06/2025: They charged 2 euros for a tiny glass of water.

18/11/2025: A small place, but the food is good, whether you choose a pan pizza, a regular pizza, or a variety of other dishes. Affordable fixed-price menus are also available.

08/11/2025: Very good and honest pan pizza.

01/11/2025: I've never been there during daytime. I attended a Halloween party... €25 entrance fee, annoying kids, overbearing and rude bouncers... In short, not to be repeated! However, the place looks very nice, and I'll definitely be back for anything other than a nightclub-style party. Terrible!

20/10/2025: We stayed at the Cascinetta di Buriasco estate on October 18, 2025. The property, which organizes weddings, parties, etc., behaved incredibly rudely. Upon arrival, they told us there would be some noise and that it was strange they hadn't warned us. What they described as a bit of noise was actually a large-scale party that continued with loud music, loud noises, etc., until 4:00 a.m. Our room was directly across from their ballroom. Correct behavior would dictate not selling rooms during events, but here, they're only looking at revenue.

17/12/2025: I've never eaten a horrible pizza like you make, you're very expensive, you have music but that doesn't justify the price, but more, a lot of show but in reality it's all fluff,

15/12/2025: The place itself is nice, but the food is so poor: burnt or undercooked pizzas and the worst wine...be careful because the bill will be very high...you'll see 😂😹❗🤠🤣
