20/07/2025: A local bar and tobacco shop run by friendly, local Chinese. A wide selection of wines, spritzes, and the famous "house aperitif," as well as pre-packaged and tub-and-cone ice creams. Lotto games and similar games are available. Wheelchair access is limited due to three steps. Outside, there are chairs and tables to seat about 10-12 people. Nearby, there's a square with a church worth a visit, and the historic "pass" over the Livenza River.

12/03/2025: A historic local bar, which hasn't lost its identity under its current management. Lisa and Ping are wonderful; their kindness and courtesy make this the perfect place for an evening with friends.

03/06/2025: Il Corona per me il miglior ristorante della zona. Sabato abbiamo cenato fuori sulla terrazzetta nella bellissima location. Personale gentilissimo e molto attento ai dettagli. Menù spettacolare: grande scelta di ottimi antipasti, carne squisita, e…..le acciughe fritte fantastiche. Grande scelta dei vini grazie anche alla loro fornitissima cantina con acquisti anche online. Il mio posto del cuore.

24/04/2025: Viaggio di piacere, su consiglio della proprietaria del B&B siamo stati a cena in questo grazioso ristorante. Atmosfera rilassante e cordiale. Piatti gustosi e curati. Servizio ottimo. Cantina dei vini molto fornita e di ottima qualità. Prezzo un po’ più alto della norma.

29/07/2025: Viajando con un grupo de 33 personas, cenamos en este atractivo restaurante anoche. Pasando por el comedor principal hacia atrás hay un comedor al aire libre con plantas y arbustos. El servicio fue rápido y eficiente. Empezamos con una ensalada mixta, que tenía muchos trozos de tomate. Lo siguiente fue muy buen risotto de hongos, y una galette de queso y espinacas. Me hubiera gustado tener algo de guarnición en el plato.

20/07/2025: Certo, non sarà il Grand Hotel Et Des Iles Borromees, ma se cercate un buon alberghetto tranquillo, in pieno centro a Stresa, a 3 minuti a piedi dal lago e dall'imbarcadero, con camere essenziali ma pulitissime e perfettamente insonorizzate con bagno con sanitari rinnovati, e letto supercomodo, il Fiorentino fa per voi. Molto gentili il signor Federico e i suoi collaboratori, pronti a soddisfare ogni necessità; convenzionale, ma con prodotti di qualità dolci e salati (veramente ottime le marmellate) la colazione, con bevande calde espresse direttamente dal bar. Prezzo nella norma. Possibilità di usufruire di un ottimo servizio ristorante (che ho già valutato positivamente in passato).

20/10/2025: i recently stayed at the Castello for two nights and the Hotel emailed me to ask how my stay was. I responded by email, but sadly never heard back. I was in two minds about posting but as I never heard back please see below my view. I think that the hotel needs investment if seeking luxury and guests to want to come to the hotel for more than one night !! There needs to be a slight adjustment in the Hotel attitude which starts with the main gate signs that say no arrival before 2 pm, no outside visitors and then you also find that you can’t use the pool after 2 pm on departure day without being charged extra. In addition the Hotel has such a beautiful garden area, it’s a shame they don’t bother putting any cushions out and making it look nice other than leaving undressed tables and ones immagination as to how nice it could be. The hotel needs to create a more welcoming atmosphere with a lunch menu and dinner menu. Seems particularly weird that people will drive up to 30 minutes to other restaurants, but no one seems to want to drive to your hotel for lunch or dinner. You need to ask yourself why...... The pool chairs are particularly uncomfortable and should have cushions and they should be placed out every day automaticaly. In the bedroom it’s a shame you have to ask for a mattress topper and decent feather pillows in order to have a comfortable nights sleep. The bathrooms, particular the showers need a little bit of an upgrade. At least there is plenty of hot water..... No idea if the air-conditioning works but if it doesn’t then that would make a disastrous night sleep in your hotel. Luckily we were able to sleep with the windows open this trip. The furniture in your reception area is so large that basically makes it almost impossible to sit round without having to put one’s feet on top of the coffee table ! When sitting here people dont want to stare into the kitchen so door should be kept closed. It’s a great shame, but with 10% more effort maybe it could be 50% better. I would not rush back nor recommend to others based on my experiance. Next time would do more research as there has to be better as a very pretty area of Italy In the meantime we did have a lovely time touring the Barolo villages, tasting wine and eating in other restaurants.

28/10/2025: We found this restaurant by chance on Google, the reviews weren't great but we gave it the benefit of the doubt, even from the outside it wasn't the best, it gave a bad impression but we decided to go in anyway, not even the time to sit down and take off our jackets, we were greeted by two tiny vegetable meatballs as a no-nonsense welcome, the waiter arrives with two slices of cooked salami and two of cacciatorino, immediately after two small tomini covered in spicy with mushrooms that came out of the jar under water without any seasoning or anything, disgusting I would say, then another slightly strange waiter arrives with a serving dish (for the whole room) where he pours 7 agnolotti with butter and sage (watered down) to everyone, without asking what we wanted or at least asking if we wanted the menu or if there was a written sheet to know how it worked... We found ourselves eating the surprise Sunday fixed menu which was nothing short of inedible as far as I'm concerned, tagliolini with truffle drowned in water and cream, agnolotti with tasteless white ragù, 1 soggy and tasteless slice of cotechino with tasteless instant polenta full of grated cheese, 1 slice of caramelized pumpkin that would have been good if it weren't for the moldy taste! It really disgusted me, for dessert, cream swirl soaked in water, very bitter coffee that seemed burnt, 1.5 l mineral water. In a plastic bottle from Lidl at a cost of €4 are we crazy????. In the end €40 per person to eat the inedible, you eat sooo much better in company canteens!!!! Between being overcooked everything and tasteless full of grated cheese everywhere (unsolicited) without asking, or saying if there are food intolerances or what... this is there and this is what you eat!!! Really not good flavors, I'm sorry to say this, but I will NEVER go back there AGAIN!!! And as much as I love animals, it doesn't seem hygienic to me—there's a big dog in the kitchen! Best wishes to anyone who plans to go!

27/09/2025: Closed for over a month. They haven't reopened since the summer holidays. A faded note said they'd be back on August 30th. Let's hope they reopen sooner or later. The kebab was good and the prices were fair.

18/08/2025: Stay away from this place. It has no seriousness in its service and no professionalism. They take reservations, you receive an email asking you to confirm your arrival, and when you arrive, it's closed. They waste your time. They don't let you know they'll be closing that day. So, it's a high-risk establishment.

05/06/2025: Trattandosi del ristorante di un hotel 4 stelle 🌟 non potrebbe essere diversamente: grande sala, anche per accogliere utenti di convegni ed eventi che si svolgono nella struttura; camerieri vestiti.. formalmente, tavoli ben sistemati e distanziati…, ed anche ovviamente ottimo menù, anche se non troppo dispersivo… Per quanto provato ottimo il vitello tonnato, i tagliolini “molti tuorli” agli asparagi ed il bonet quale dessert, con due calici di vino dei Colli Tortonesi…, l’ormai famoso Timorasso… Porzioni abbondanti, prezzi equi e servizio cordiale ma “da signori”, quindi locale .. da tornarci…

01/11/2025: I've never been there during daytime. I attended a Halloween party... €25 entrance fee, annoying kids, overbearing and rude bouncers... In short, not to be repeated! However, the place looks very nice, and I'll definitely be back for anything other than a nightclub-style party. Terrible!

20/10/2025: We stayed at the Cascinetta di Buriasco estate on October 18, 2025. The property, which organizes weddings, parties, etc., behaved incredibly rudely. Upon arrival, they told us there would be some noise and that it was strange they hadn't warned us. What they described as a bit of noise was actually a large-scale party that continued with loud music, loud noises, etc., until 4:00 a.m. Our room was directly across from their ballroom. Correct behavior would dictate not selling rooms during events, but here, they're only looking at revenue.

17/11/2025: It's so damn hot, I got 10 macaroni. You see.

16/11/2025: They just asked us for an extra €80 on our bill (and we're not the only ones), complete with receipts and payments, the ridiculous and rude cashier. She didn't even want to look at the payments and, with the help of the bouncers, she kicked us out. Obviously, not recommended if you don't want to have money stolen from you.

22/10/2025: As soon as you enter, you're greeted by a large antique fireplace, and the entire atmosphere is a blend of old and new. You can choose between the à la carte menu or the daily menu. It's located just steps from Domodossola's central squares. You should definitely come in spring or summer to fully enjoy the view of the rooftops and the beautiful village.

19/10/2025: A random choice during a Sunday stroll through Domodossola (a group of five). They were willing to accommodate us even though we hadn't booked. The location is warm and welcoming, with artwork, music, and soft lighting. We chose the Sunday menu. The lard and cheese appetizer on a bed of quinces is noteworthy. For our first course, we chose the green lasagna with venison ragù, complemented by two à la carte first courses: the gnocchi all'Ossolana, highly recommended, and the tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms. The roast chestnuts with baked potatoes reminded us of Sunday lunches at home. We were amazed by the quality of the carafe wine, as was the delicious crème caramel, which concluded a flavorful meal we highly recommend.

10/07/2025: We organized an end-of-year pizza party at Korallo and were thrilled! The brick pizza, the pan pizza, and the farinata were excellent, and the prices were very fair. But what struck us most were the kindness and organization. The staff were wonderful, attentive, fast, and incredibly kind. Even though there were 20 of us and we'd all ordered different pizzas at the same time, they managed to serve us practically at the same time. Congratulations! Thank you!

09/07/2025: We had a set menu, no option to choose just one item, and if you don't like it, you have to make do... a plate of penne with sauce, something decent, rotten salad, had to be changed, very small grilled chicken breast, water and coffee like broth, all for 10 euros... But then the rotten salad was taken away, saying it was good, but they changed it... I definitely won't be going back.
