18/06/2024: I was in this facility on Friday 7 June 2024 with some friends, on the occasion of an evening with a DJ in the garden. Unfortunately we had to wait until midnight for dance music and after one for disco music, which is what we expected from an evening like this. While waiting we got drinks, included in the 20 euro entrance fee. Poorly made cocktails, with very little alcohol and glasses only filled with ice: a friend takes a cocktail and tells me it tastes like nothing, another takes a Sex on the beach and it seems like a fruit-flavored soft drink, very sweet. I'll try it, I ask for a daiquiry, they don't know what it is, caipiroska, they can't make it... he offers me a cocktail with juice and orangeade (I imagine it's my friend's undrinkable sex on the beach and I refuse). I ask for a Mojto, very easy to make, ok. Too bad he only adds a few mint leaves, without cane sugar and lime, crushes lightly with the bar spoon, then adds a touch of rum (in a narrow glass, so there was very little), fills with fine ice and then adds the soda. It tasted like nothing and there was very little of it. Everyone complained, not only about the cocktails, but also about the fact that the DJ, a certain "dallomo", didn't play danceable music. He was good, he mixed old music, on a disco base, but, after a bit of tum tum, tum tum, we got tired... When he started playing slightly faster songs, my friends and I started dancing, little by little people started joining in, but there were only a few of us on the floor and it was all a bit slow... so three of my friends left, really disappointed, I won't report what they said about the music and the cocktails... At one o'clock, finally, Salviati and Costantino took possession of the console and the music changed, in every sense, but it was a a little late: those over 35 would like to start dancing a little earlier... We two survivors stayed until 2, many had already left, I always "danced", because I always try to make the best of everything and, above all, because we had already paid, otherwise we would have left much sooner, as others have done... Among other things, they took away our drinks from the table, not yet finished! The location is beautiful, welcoming, but not the evening... obviously we won't be back.

20/10/2023: I recently visited the "Mezza Luna" restaurant inside the Hotel della Rotonda in Saronno, and it was an experience that left me disappointed. The first thing I noticed was how extremely slow the service was. The waiting times were very long, and this negatively affected the entire experience. When the food finally arrived, upon tasting it I discovered that the pasta served was cold and totally tasteless. It was evident that it had not been prepared carefully, or left on the kitchen counter and this made the meal unappetizing. Furthermore, the behavior of the waiters was quite disconcerting. They didn't seem to know how to handle guests effectively, which added to the unwelcoming atmosphere. (especially the blonde lady with glasses) Bottom line, based on my experience, I have no plans to return to this restaurant. The slowness of the service, the quality of the food and the behavior of the waiters made my visit disappointing. I hope the restaurant can make some upgrades to improve customer experience in the future.

02/09/2023: Good food, no airco ! You have a couple of minuten to take enough parramazan. Then they take it away ! Watch out for the parmazzan

04/01/2024: Il ristorante ha cambiato location rispetto a prima, colgo occasione per ritornarci. A differenza dell’ultima volta mi viene proposto un unico menù fisso senza dirmi il prezzo. Antipasti caserecci, acqua e un po’ di carne con davvero molto sale, sconsigliata a chi soffre di ipertensione. Anche il conto molto salato. Onestamente non ci tornerò. Ps consiglio di pattuire il prezzo prima di iniziare.

04/12/2023: Today the hotel cancelled my reservation for June 2024 saying that there has been a change in management. Is that a valid reason to cancel a reservation? What a silly behaviour!

28/09/2023: Hotel located in the center of Stresa, convenient to all services. Antonella and Fabio are super kind and helpful, always ready to fulfill our every request. Clean and basic room. Good breakfast.

04/07/2024: Ristorante molto accogliente sia per l'atmosfera che per il personale davvero cordiale e attento con i clienti. Dalla cucina arrivano piatti gustosissimi, spaghetti alle vongole e carbonara al primo posto, ma anche la pizza è buonissima. Lo consiglio assolutamente!

30/06/2024: Tornare al merlo è sempre un piacere. Ottime le birre e buoni i panini. Personalmente avrei preferito una lista più corta dei panini però un po' più ricercata. Se guardate bene il menù molti panini hanno praticamente gli stessi ingredienti e cambia magari solo una salsa. In tal modo il cliente può scegliere più velocemente e se proprio preferisce qualcosa in più, può sempre chiedere un aggiunta ( a pagamento ovviamente). Sarei del parere come dicono gli inglesi che " less is more".
