Il Poeta Contadino

Alberobello
17/08/2026: A fantastic and unique experience. Brought by friends, I tried "amplified" Apulian flavors. Nothing chemical or artificial...a Michelin star or the title of "Best Winery in Europe" certainly aren't enough to classify the works of art prepared by chef Leonardo Marco. P.S. ask for "il Riccio," the special dish not on the menu.
13/08/2026: A magnificent venue where you can experience all the traditions of this beautiful country...from the location to the fantastic lunch that takes you on a culinary journey back in time, where tradition meets modernity...and the (highly qualified) staff provides the perfect backdrop.

Evo Ristorante

Alberobello, 30-45€
10/07/2026: If you're in Alberobello, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. My father and I went there for lunch and were truly impressed by the quality of the dishes, the attentive service, and the welcoming atmosphere. We particularly enjoyed the tasting of typical local olive oils, a fascinating experience that made the evening even more special and allowed us to discover authentic flavors of Puglia's tradition. It's one of those places that leave a lasting impression: so much so that it's become a regular stop for us, and we return every year with great pleasure. Highly recommended!
28/06/2026: A Sunday lunch, an 8-course surprise tasting menu...and what a pleasant surprise! All the dishes are exquisitely crafted and playfully presented. From the various appetizers to the oils, the pre-desserts and desserts, a journey into a revisited tradition and technique. Kudos to Debora, who manages the tables with elegance and skill.

Ristorante Pizzeria L'Olmo Bello

Alberobello
20/08/2026: Nice atmosphere, nothing to complain about. The pizza wasn't to my taste; it was thin, a bit hard, and the toppings were very limited (a simple Margherita with tomato and mozzarella only in the center, and the edges were obviously bare). 1-star service, unfortunately. The sauce containers for the fries were brought to the table dirty and with used packets. I asked the waitress if she could change them, and she just huffed and puffed. The wait was too long to be served. I'm not saying service should be immediate, but I understand if the place is busy, but coming to the table after 20 minutes, bringing water, and waiting another 20 minutes to order, I'd say is not good. I won't be back.
14/08/2026: We've been here twice in four days. The first time was on August 8th, as soon as we arrived, because it was on our list. The second time was on the 11th, when we had reservations elsewhere: we changed our minds and came back here. This, if you will, is the whole review. First evening, tables outside: cool atmosphere even in the middle of August, simple table settings, no frills—exactly as it should be. The house appetizer was spectacular; from the cured meats to the cheeses, we left nothing out. Then orecchiette with turnip tops, made to perfection, and for the kids, cutlets and fries: enormous cutlets, the kind a child looks at and knows he's lost from the start. Beers, liqueurs, all included: about 80 euros, and we left full and happy. On the second evening, we asked if it was possible to eat inside: they set up the room especially for us. Just for us. In August, in the height of season, in Alberobello. That alone says it all about how they work. And in that room: more house appetizers, always on the same level. My wife and I had two fillets, each cooked differently so we could share them, ordered both cooked and overcooked because rare isn't our thing—they arrived perfectly cooked and tender. A delight. The kids had pasta with tomato sauce and orecchiette, specifically requested after tasting them the previous time. Beers, wine, liqueurs, and soft drinks: just over €100. A price that, on this vacation, was standard elsewhere for three pizzas and a plate of chips. In 2026, paying like a pizzeria and eating like that is almost subversive. A special mention for the service: all the waiters were kind and attentive, especially the head waiter who took our orders—professional, pleasant enough, never intrusive, and always keeping an eye on the entire dining room. I'm sorry I don't know his name. We'll be back. Not "if we get the chance": we'll be back.
