28/05/2026: There are restaurants that impress with their technical prowess. And then there are places like Lido 84 that go far beyond that, creating truly memorable experiences. I've been there several times now—and each time, I've felt like I wasn't just going out to eat, but rather part of a deeply personal culinary narrative. Riccardo Camanini's cuisine combines something that very few chefs master: the utmost precision with genuine warmth. Nothing here feels loud, contrived, or gimmicky. Instead, perfect ingredients, exceptional technique, and immense creativity combine to create a cuisine brimming with soul and emotion. Dishes like the legendary Cacio e Pepe served in a pig's bladder are, of course, spectacular—not for the visual effect, but because they possess an incredible depth, elegance, and naturalness. This same quality permeates the entire menu: memories, childhood, tradition, and modern interpretation merge into something entirely unique. What I find particularly impressive is how poetic this cuisine remains despite all its technical sophistication. Some dishes are almost like little stories—sometimes warm and comforting, sometimes surprisingly playful, but always with remarkable clarity and a deep respect for the ingredients. Added to this is the exceptional hospitality, which has become rare even in top-tier restaurants. You don't feel like you're in a temple of fine dining, but genuinely welcome. Elegant, attentive, but never aloof. And then, of course, there's the location on Lake Garda, which makes the entire experience almost unreal. For me, Lido 84 is now clearly one of the most impressive restaurants in Europe—not only because of its culinary excellence, but because it achieves something far more difficult: bringing emotion to the plate.

18/03/2026: I'm starting on a sad note because you'll never be able to experience or share an experience like this again (it closes this Sunday), because I'm getting emotional writing these words, like when I ate the spaghetti I've been wanting to try for years... we were fortunate enough to experience certain flavors, certain dishes, combinations, ideas, and emotions in this place, and I hope the next time we try Camanini's dishes will be as soon as possible. On the one hand, I'd like to comment on how unique the dishes were (the photos speak for themselves) or how beautiful it was to see the perfect decor, but what we prefer to share is the kindness, empathy, and humanity that the entire staff demonstrated. It's indescribable, and it made a fantastic evening that we'll remember for a lifetime, something words can't express. I just wanted to say thank you, and we truly hope to see you again soon. 18/07/2026: The food was very good, but there was nothing vegetarian except for one appetizer. When asked for vegetarian options, the response was that they could, for example, remove the shrimp from a first course and make it a simple pasta alla crudaiola. Everything was very good, but it's not vegetarian-friendly, even though they state so on their website.

27/06/2026: I was served raw tuna that wasn’t fresh, and got sick for 24 hours.

19/05/2026: We had the best pizzas ever! Everyone was so kind and helpful. I'm celiac, so I even had the desserts, which were excellent! Top!

11/08/2026: The food is very good. We tried everything we could, both pasta and pizza. Prices are reasonable but vary depending on the season. The entire staff is very friendly and helpful, except for one gentleman who seems like he's saving people as a punishment and scaring them away (my child was afraid of him).

08/08/2026: The best pizza I've ever had in Italy, the service is excellent, the owners are very attentive to customers, and the atmosphere is cozy. We had the "Fantastica" pizza and spaghetti, and we loved everything. Highly recommend it.

From the welcome to the last detail, you can sense the passion, care, and love for this work. The cuisine is simply excellent; every dish is carefully crafted and prepared. You can truly sense the soul behind it all, that of an authentic family-run restaurant, where nothing is left to chance. Maximum score, absolutely deserved. Congratulations!

14/06/2026: Hoping we can use the outdoor seating. In bad weather, the place is small and you'll find yourself packed table after table. The waiters are always ready to take your plate away from you. It happened to me, I hadn't even finished lunch!

10/04/2026: Very very good food. Across three courses there was consistently excellent quality; baccala, polipo, coniglio, maialino, tiramisu. I would dine there again without a second's reservation. My only small disappointment is €23 for a cheese plate is an exaggeration; the 5 cheeses were OK but none were exceptional (not Bagoss or even parmigiano vacche rosse)

05/04/2026: First time in Sirmione, expectations low due to the tourism, but instead we found this restaurant at 10:30 PM. The place is elegant yet simple, and the staff is courteous and knowledgeable, above all! The dishes are refined in both their ingredients and flavors. We finished with a reinterpretation of pastiera and a dessert called umami... sensational. The price was in line with the quality, without hesitation.

19/07/2026: Four of us dined, and we were all impressed by the quality of the dishes and their presentation. The tempura zucchini and flowers were exceptional, the grilled calamari exquisite, the casoncelli pasta with a homey flavor, and the delicious salt-baked sea bass—not to mention the side vegetables: the best I've had in a long time. And all at a very reasonable price. The lobby has a pleasant atmosphere and very personal service.

16/07/2026: We dined at this restaurant after an intense hike along the Via delle Sorelle, and the food was well worth the effort. The dishes are unique, refined, and simply delicious; we particularly appreciated the daily specials, which showcase the freshness of the ingredients used, and the restaurant's classics like fish and chips. Overall, it's a peaceful place to eat divinely and feel pampered. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Special mention goes to the salt-crusted rack of lamb, executed to perfection: tender, flavorful, and cooked with great precision. The selection of wines available by the glass is also highly appreciated, allowing for interesting and thoughtful pairings. The service was friendly, professional, and always attentive to guests' needs, helping to create a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. The added bonus is undoubtedly the outdoor seating area surrounded by greenery, with a splendid view of Lake Garda, which makes the experience even more evocative. This place is definitely worth a visit and one I happily recommend.
