22/10/2025: This place is a fantastic find! The views of Lake Iseo are unmatched, the hotel is historic and charming, and every staff member encountered was extraordinary. We had dinner one evening and they do an excellent job (very accommodating to my gluten allergy as well). Lovely breakfast area. We will be back! (We had a small group on a wine tour)

16/10/2025: A sure thing. We're semi-regulars with their Valentine's Day boxes and dinners. The atmosphere is welcoming and the dishes are meticulously prepared, and arrive hot and tidy. The prices are a little higher than average, but fair enough for the quality of the ingredients. Definitely recommended.

19/11/2025: Beautiful, very formal atmosphere, super friendly and knowledgeable staff, always looking after every table without ever really getting too close. Excellent food and just the right amount—you don't go for quantity, but for the right balance of quality and quantity. The bathrooms are also beautiful!

18/11/2025: We went on Sunday with a couple of friends and were all pleasantly surprised. The pizzas were fantastic: light, tasty, and easy to digest, even the ones made with corn dough. At the end of the dinner, along with our coffee, they served us a small plate of homemade shortbread cookies... a truly delicious surprise. Congratulations on the quality and attention to detail!

10/11/2025: Our €540 disappointment at a two-Michelin-star restaurant that values friends over guests We spent €540 at what’s ranked the world’s 16th-best restaurant, expecting a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Instead, we endured three hours of nonstop barking from a dog belonging to friends of the owner — during what was supposed to be a special dinner celebrating our first child, due in February. We had the first seating on October 27 (reservation under Howard). About ten minutes after doors opened, a group of six arrived with a small dog. It barked repeatedly throughout the meal, loud enough for every table to notice. My husband approached staff three times, and each time the message was clear: because these guests were connected to the owner, the rules didn’t apply. Staff even admitted there’s a no-dog policy but that this group was an exception. Their justifications kept changing — first they “didn’t know” a dog was coming, then it was supposedly a “therapy” dog. We later wrote management privately, hoping for an apology or acknowledgment. Instead, they downplayed everything — claiming the dog barked “only three times” and suggesting our complaint was about “chewing.” Their email completely distorted the events and denied the obvious favoritism we witnessed. For a restaurant with two Michelin stars, this level of dishonesty and disregard for paying guests is shocking. The night we looked forward to most on our trip became the one we most wanted to forget. Outstanding food means little when the management shows zero respect or accountability.

08/11/2025: I contacted management before leaving this review and they refused to address the issue. Here’s my review: Picture this: you spend €540 at the world’s 16th-best restaurant, two Michelin stars, and sit through three hours of nonstop dog barking while staff admit the owner’s friends get a free “no dogs” pass. That happened to us on October 27. My pregnant wife and I flew across the ocean and built our Italy trip around this dinner, a gift to celebrate our first child due in February. We booked the first seating under Howard. Ten minutes after opening, a group of six arrives with a small dog. It barks the entire night. Every table looks over. I spoke to staff three times. Their answers: they know the owner, they drove 200 km (we flew thousands), we will not ask the dog to leave, and yes, there is a no-dog policy. The dog stayed. The barking never stopped. Also, their story switched from “we didn’t know the dog was coming” to “they told us it was a therapy dog before they came.” We emailed management for an apology. Their reply rewrote history: the dog barked “only three times”, “in a very feeble way,” and our real issue was the dog’s “chewing?????”. Also, them knowing the dog wasnt coming was a lie. Complete lies. It barked over a dozen times, loud enough to turn heads across the room. No vest, no service-animal status, just “pet therapy” for friends of the owner. They claim no other guest complained. More fiction. They didn’t offer us anything at all to make the situation better. Management ignored facts, gaslit us, and doubled down on favoritism. The night we planned as our trip’s highlight became its low point. Two Michelin stars, zero integrity.

18/09/2025: What Paolo and Joanna created is a truly wonderful thing. The food is beyond fantastic. It‘s creative and traditional, beautifully presented and extremely delicous. We were there outside of the main season, so the vibes were very relaxed and cozy. Joanna was a wonderful host and gladly answered and entertained all of our questions. If you are in Sarnico, Dinner al numero 24 is a must.

22/11/2025: The best meal we had in our northern Italy trip! We passed by this restaurant on the way back from Sirmione old town, and seeing its seafood-oriented menu, we gave it a try - and it was the best decision. We had a full course with appetiser, main course and desert, we enjoyed every one of them. Especially the scallops gratin with pistachio and the spaghetti with crustaceans sause was absolutely amazing, every bite was a wonder. The staff was very friendly and made sure everything is alright. Absolutely recommended!

17/09/2025: The service is absolutely nonexistent! Everyone stares at the waiter, who works alone, with hungry eyes. The food is delicious, but the portions are very small. We never got dessert! This was our worst experience in Sirmione, I don't recommend it.

Add to that the attractive interior design and exquisite tableware. The service is top-notch and completes the feel-good atmosphere. We'll see you again on your next stay in Gargnano. 01/11/2025: The worst experience of the place. Good food and good service are the key points of a good restaurant. The food was delicious; and the service is the worst I've seen in Italy. -There is no linked wine menu with the tasting menu. -For some reason in Italy we were served French wine, despite the fact that there are wineries around the restaurant. -You can't order 2 different menus and everyone at the table had to eat the same menu. This is very unreasonable, because there are people who are allergic or don't like fish. As an alternative, we were offered one menu, and the other person paid for dishes from the a la carte menu, which is 2 times more expensive. Incomprehensible approach. - The waitress should simply be fired. She was rude and ill-mannered. Of the three wines she served us, she didn't let us try any. She stupidly came up, poured a glass and left. Then we asked her what she had poured for us. She was surprised why we were asking that. -One dish did not suit our taste. The waitress did not offer an alternative. - When we asked the chef to come out to talk about the waitress's behavior, she actually started to enter into a discussion and instead of apologizing, she started to prove something to us. I highly recommend checking the cameras and looking at the service of your unqualified staff. I do not recommend this place at all. Spoiled evening due to poor service.

26/10/2025: A restaurant that amazes with its selection and quality of dishes. The chef is impeccable in his combinations and preparations... The service and atmosphere are top-notch!! We will definitely be back.
