14/04/2025: Hicieron el queso mozzarella esa mañana, ¡y nunca he tenido algo mejor! La comida era fresca y tan deliciosa, que tuve los mejores tomates de mi vida! Tengo el pescado del día y mi marido tiene una pasta con salsa de carne. Ambos eran perfectos! Sus recomendaciones de vinos también estaban presentes, y las vistas eran absolutamente impresionantes. No puedo recomendar este lugar lo suficiente!

22/05/2025: La location, stupenda ancor più dopo avvenuta ristrutturazione, è stata scelta per festeggiare un importante evento familiare. Professionalità, accoglienza, super-organizzazione, sono parole che si accostano perfettamente alle persone che hanno contribuito al successo di questo giorno di festa. Eccellente e di altissima qualità i cibi, ed i vini, serviti ai 60 ospiti che hanno gradito complimentandosi anche nei giorni successivi all'evento. Insomma, una location da scegliere per celebrare eventi importanti, ma sicuramente anche per pranzare o cenare in piacevole compagnia!
20/05/2025: Very well-kept location, new and clean, with a very refined and original marine style decor. The view is obviously breathtaking, eating on the terrace with the sound of the sea below is priceless. The restaurant is inside a hotel structure, so the welcome, the turnout and the services are far superior to those of a common restaurant. Raw material of excellent quality, proportionate bills.

18/06/2025: Food was average. Really small portions for the price. To call a taxi they made us wait like 20 minutes and the staff had a really bad attitude. Didn’t like it at all. Only good thing was the view.
18/06/2025: Palazzo Avino is a stunning place to stay — the pink style is so elegant, stylish, and clean. Our room was very comfortable, and the sea view over the Amalfi Coast was breathtaking. The whole hotel feels peaceful and beautifully kept. Only small downside was that email communication wasn’t the most efficient , but everything was still sorted before we arrived.

03/06/2025: We came here on a honeymoon, having never been at a Michelin restaurant, looking forward to the experience. We left quite disappointed. The restaurant is pretty, and views from the villa are spectacular, but once we entered we got ushered into the restaurant through a back alley so we didn't get to see the gardens. We didn't know what to expect, but the first impression was - air of pretentiousness. Most waiters were smug, but maybe it's what it's supposed to be. We ordered a 6-course meal for two persons and honestly, it was nothing special. Appetisers were bread sticks coated with "special" oil, bread, butter and a tiny dish I only remember as being ok. I've had much better in 10x cheaper restaurants. First meal, that we liked the most was amberjack, which was interesting and delicious, albeit tiny. It tasted like herring which I don't normally like, but it was coated in sweet sauce and melted in my mouth. Next we got "tender asparagus" flower, but it was very chewy, and tasted... like asparagus. The nice sauce it was coated in couldn't save the meal. Third meal was risotto. It was ok. The rice was too hard for my liking and oversalted. It wasn't even that interesting and I've had tastier risotto in supermarket restaurants. Fourth meal was seafood spaghettini, presented in a form of a ball. Interesting, and tasted good, even if too salty. On our trip we ate mostly in Italian food in local restaurants, and I've had seafood pasta 3 times. All of those times it was heavenly. This one was decent, but way worse than any of the ones I had. Next up was sea bass. The presentation wasn't that interesting, just a tiny piece of fish with some sweet sauce. It tasted good, though not mind blowing. Veal fillet was tasty but nothing special. It was presented in an interesting way, with greens stacked on top of the tiny bit of fillet. Last meal was a desert delivered in a half-spiral plate. It looked like a deconstruction of a lemon cake, with different ingredients stacked in different places you then combine in your mouth. Interesting. I've seen this idea before, and that one tasted much better. We had better-tasting deserts in cheaper restaurants. In total we paid just short of 700 euros. I expected to pay 500. It's extremely overpriced, in my opinion, considering the price-value ratio and the wait times between meals were around 20-40 minutes - very long. In the end, we even got charged for things we haven't ordered. For instance, we ordered 2 non-alcoholic cocktails for 14 euros each. After finishing them, the waiter asked if wanted a refill, which we DECLINED. The bill said 4 cocktails, so we got charged for them to ask us if we wanted a cocktail, not actually receiving one. As soon as we sat down at the table, the waiter brought a bottle of champaign to us, showed it and poured 1/3 of the glass each without asking or saying anything. We tasted it, and he asked if we'd like wine or cocktails, and we said we don't want alcoholic drinks. In the end, each of the 1/3 glasses cost 55 euros, or we inadvertently bought the whole bottle for 110 euros we didn't even want or drink for the most part. Maybe it's just my ignorance and I should've done something differently, but it felt borderline scammy. But what irked me the most was that the waiter asking if we wanted water, to which we replied yes. He went on a tangent of how pretentious their water was and we asked for a bottle. It cost 14 euros. For bottled water. That you can get in a supermarket. Why? They added no extra value... Did they pour it from some pretentious pitcher containing lemons or rosemary or any some nonsense? No. Just regular bottled water, poured in a regular glass. All in all, I do not recommend this experience. The meals overall taste fine, but much much worse than what you can get in ANY of the surrounding cheaper restaurants. Just choose one of those, save 600 euros, and have a nice evening with similar views, better-tasting meals and unpretentious service with honest pricing. Try Vittoria restaurant in Ravello, just 300 meters from the villa.
28/05/2025: We were really looking forward to a dinner experience at Il Flauto di Pan and I even reached out months before reservations were open. Unfortunately, we had a medical emergency the day prior and both of us were very ill, so we could not make it. We could not give more than 12 hour notice and were expecting to get hit with the hefty cancellation fees (100 euro per person), but both the man who answered the phone and Violetta were very understanding and, upon verifying the medical emergency, waived the fees and canceled our reservation. We unfortunately never recovered intime to attempt to attend on a different day, but we hope to have another opportunity in the future.

16/10/2024: Hermosa y deliciosa comida en un entorno encantador. Disfrutamos de nuestra comida inmensamente. Este restaurante permite a los comensales elegir entre unos cuantos menús con múltiples platos, pero lo que apreciamos especialmente fue la capacidad de elegir un menú de 2 o 3 platos para nosotros mismos de cualquiera de los otros menús establecidos. Tendimos a comer grandes almuerzos en este viaje y estábamos felices de comer unos platos pequeños realmente maravillosos para la cena.
09/09/2024: Excellent L’endroit est magnifique avec une splendide vue. La nourriture est locale et excellente, le personnel est à l’écoute et est très professionnel, merci en particulier à Bruno et Francesco qui nous ont accompagné tout au long de cette soirée. Ne vous fiez pas à certains commentaires qui donnent un avis négatif sur le restaurant, il s’agit le plus souvent d’erreur en lien avec un autre restaurant plus qui s’appelle « Terrazza Belvédère ». L’étoile Michelin ne devrait pas tarder à arriver ! Merci

01/08/2024: Abbiamo scelto il menù degustazione da 7 portate, esperienza bellissima! Ottima cucina e servizio perfetto. Al tutto si aggiunge una location mozzafiato.
07/06/2024: Hotel a 5 stelle , terrazza Belvedere per niente all’ altezza. Siamo arrivati per il nostro anniversario con grandissima aspettativa perché consigliati da un caro amico. All’ingresso siamo stati accolti con molta freddezza. Arrivati sulla terrazza, il posto è davvero meraviglioso e la vista merita davvero. Considerata la serata con una leggera brezza mia moglie ha chiesto una coperta come avevano altri ospiti, abbiamo dovuto chiederla di nuovo dopo 15 minuti perché se ne erano dimenticati. Abbiamo richiesto un Martini , ce lo hanno portato ma senza alcun accompagnamento, neanche una patatina. Dopo 20 minuti dal Martini , sono venuti a prendere l’ordine. Premetto che tutta la sera hanno dedicato le attenzioni ad un tavolo da 10 ospiti e non abbiamo avuto la benché minima considerazione come ci si aspetterebbe da un locale di questo livello. Mi moglie ha preso il totano ripieno. Abbiamo dovuto mandarlo indietro, il ripieno era immangiabile, totalmente amaro. Il tagliolino alla tartare di gamberi senza infamia e senza lode così come la frittura di gamberi e totani. Nota positiva: il totano non lo hanno fatto pagare..

Hotel Villa Fraulo L'Incanto

06/01/2025: Reservamos un almuerzo en Villa Fraulo, Ravello para celebrar el 90 cumpleaños de una de las tías de mi esposa. Debería haber sido una ocasión para recordar - especialmente porque el precio acordado era de 100 € por persona (éramos treinta: todos los miembros de la familia y sus diversos socios) . El menú y precio fijo fue acordado entre la familia y la dirección del hotel varios días antes. La comida que se sirvió fue de hecho algo para recordar... como una de las peores comidas de restaurante que he comido! Evidentemente, los entrantes se hicieron con productos congelados, en lugar de frescos. Los calamares eran gomosos, los mejillones insípidos. Los "fiori di Zucca" fritos estaban empapados, fríos e insípidos, la "caprese" consistía en mozzarella sosa y tomates sin sabor: del tipo que se encuentra en cualquier supermercado barato. El parmigiano de berenjenas parecía hecho en casa, pero este era el ÚNICO aspecto culinario positivo de toda la comida. El plato principal de calamares fritos y gambas era del estándar que uno esperaría de una rosticceria de baja calidad: masticable y sin sabor. Inexplicablemente este clásico de la cocina costera italiana se servía con patatas fritas al estilo MacDonald que estaban frías. Se trajo una ensalada que parecía simplemente vaciada en un cuenco de una bolsa de celofán preempaquetada: no preparada con ningún amor o habilidad. No preparado en ningún sentido. El desierto - un 'mille - feuille' - se había hecho con crema batida en lugar de crema pastelería y era tan insípido como todos los demás componentes de esta comida preparada apresuradamente. El vino local era bueno (gracias a Dios!). Los camareros eran eficientes y afables, pero parecían avergonzados de tener que servir platos de tan mala calidad.
