Located in Guardiagrele, in the heart of Abruzzo, it offers a gastronomic experience that reflects the history and soul of the region. The Tinari family, who have run it for generations, have preserved the original spirit of Abruzzo cuisine. Chef Arcangelo, with his experience, continues to enrich it with creativity, technique, and a profound respect for the raw ingredients.
Each dish is a tribute to tradition, yet reinterpreted with elegance and contemporary sensibility. The meats come from family farms, the vegetables from local gardens, and every ingredient is chosen with almost artisanal care. 21/11/2025: The first courses were excellent: gnocchi with borage and ricotta, cod mezzelune (half-moons) and guinea fowl tortelli. Everyone was very friendly and the place was lovely. The prices were fair.

11/10/2025: This trattoria perfectly represents the strategic backbone of what suburban dining in Italy should be. It's a small-to-medium sized establishment in Villa Santa Maria (CH), boasting the reputation of being the Home of Chefs because its excellent hotel management school has consistently produced numerous nationally and internationally renowned chefs over the decades. In my opinion, Onofrio Caffè is a practically perfect trattoria of its kind. Overlooking the Sangro River below, it has small, welcoming spaces and well-spaced tables. Its menu doesn't exceed 3-4 options per category (appetizers, first courses, second courses, desserts), but each dish perfectly showcases the region and its excellence. The portions are generous and the prices are truly excellent considering the quality of the ingredients. I would definitely recommend the pasta alla Onofrio (which, however, isn't always available on the menu) and certainly the excellent lamb, offered at a very fair price. The owner-chef waits at the tables and is always courteous and smiling, an excellent host. Bravo! Highly recommended for a lunch stop. It's a shame it's closed for dinner...

16/10/2025: Super wonderful, beautiful 1st wedding anniversary. Kind and above all competent. Well done everyone, excellent chef.
07/10/2025: The renovated Trabocco has lost some of its originality, but it's still pleasant. The set menu includes two appetizers with mini portions of gourmet dishes and two small plates to share, all very good. A generous first course, a standard second course, and a small fried fish to share. Dessert and coffee, drinks à la carte. The price is a bit high compared to regular restaurants, but it's worth it for the view and the character—let's say it's also a bit of a trend at the moment. I recommend not taking advantage of the moment too much, because then the gravy train will end. Also, eating the raw materials right where they exist, let's say 0 km, should cost less. Furthermore, you choose the menu based on the season and the catch of the day. Procurement is not that complicated, so what would be the reason for the high price? I'm not just talking about you guys, who obviously adjusted their prices to the other Trabocchi, some even worse. All in all, a great experience.

18/06/2025: Trabocco degno di questo nome, ben curato pur mantenendo la rusticità che contraddistingue questo tipo di ristoranti. Servizio attento e professionale. Ottimo menù, cucina con piatti molto curati , qualità dei prodotti e presentazione davvero super .. esperienza consigliatissima da amanti dei trabocchi come noi che ne abbiamo provati molti per non dire tutti …bravi bravi !!
16/06/2025: Prenotato 2 settimane prima, abbiamo deciso di pranzare in questo trabocco in famiglia. Location ovviamente molto suggestiva e bella, piccolo e confortevole. Cibo abbondante e buono. Camerieri molto gentili e disponibili.
Sorpresa per la toilette, molto pulita.
Il dolce stonava un po’, Cannolo scomposto con amarena, a parte non era secondo me un abbinamento vincente ma poco fresco e gustoso.
Consiglio comunque!

09/06/2025: Di passaggio a Vasto, abbiamo cenato in questo locale con terrazza vista Mare stupenda.
Uno dei migliori ristoranti di pesce in cui abbia mai mangiato, considerando il fatto che ho viaggiato molto in Italia e all’estero ..qualità sopraffina e ineguagliabile freschezza , sapiente preparazione e presentazione artistica dei piatti.
Crudo di pesce superlativo ..
Titolare molto preparato e simpaticissimo!
Conto inaspettatamente basso in rapporto alla qualità dei prodotti
Candidato ad una stella 💫 Michelin , senza ombra di dubbio!
Torneremo senz’altro alla prossima occasione in zona!!👍

Personale molto gentile: ci hanno accolti nel loro ristorante ci hanno seguiti per tutto il pranzo spiegando molto bene ogni piatto, curando il tavolo e il servizio.
Cibo di ottima qualità.
Buono rapporto qualità/prezzo.

09/08/2024: Consigliato senza alcun dubbio. Ottima pinsa, leggera, gustosa, abbondante di farcitura. Presa una senza glutine, una delizia di leggerezza e perfetta cottura. Signora del pub gentile e attenta alla clientela. Locazione all'aperto nel centro storico piacevole. Costi più che ragionevoli. Abbiamo assaggiato uno yogurt fatto da loro che era una delizia, naturalmente senza glutine e lattosio. Da ritornare appena possibile.
04/08/2024: Ottimo punto di ristoro al centro di Fara San Martino. Mangiato 2 belle pinse con il salmone affumicato e con tartufo funghi e salsiccia, ottime abbondante con 2 belle birre a prezzo irrisorio.
