LA LOCANDA DEL VOLTIGNO

16/11/2025: We went for lunch on Sunday and were very happy! The restaurant has two rooms, one larger and one smaller, and is very nice, welcoming and familiar. It has a fixed menu for €30 per person including water and wine. Everything is delicious, from the fried pizza and cured meats with cheeses to the appetizer, to the first courses with a choice of ravioli, gnocchi, and fettuccine. We tried ravioli with sauce and gnocchi with saffron, courgettes and sausage, which were super good. The roast as a second course includes meat and skewers, which were truly excellent! To finish the dessert, the very delicate sweet pizza! The owner is very nice and it's pleasant to chat with him, the staff is very kind, especially the girl who served us. We'll be back soon! ❤️

06/12/2025: This is a place I trusted, and it not only lived up to my expectations, but exceeded my every expectation.
I'll start with the Pallotte Cacio e Ove, a true symbol of our region. Unfortunately, few know how to make them truly well, and Nonno Liborio is among those excellent interpreters. The sauce is expertly crafted, and the cheese is perfectly flavorful.
We continued by tasting the Formaggio di Farindola, carefully presented and enriched with some unique details that pleasantly surprised us.
Special praise goes to the Pecora alla Callara, with its unique softness.
Finally, we enjoyed two exquisite first courses that I prefer not to reveal, but which I highly recommend you try.
Everything is cooked with great passion and served with a kindness that makes you feel immediately at home. Alessandra is a superb host who elevates Abruzzo's tradition.

09/11/2025: I'm from Abruzzo. And it was like tasting my grandmothers' cooking again.
The meatball sauce was the classic homemade sauce that I've never had in a restaurant. Only at home.
All this at very low prices considering the excellent quality of the products served.
The owner, too,
is fantastic.
He made us smile so much.

11/02/2025: Premesso che si è comunque mangiato bene, ma non sono rimasto soddisfatto appieno, essendomi avvicinato con aspettative alte. In effetti c'era tanta gente ed il centro di Villa Celiera è molto bello, tranquillo e meteo permettendo ha una visuale eccezionale. Anche il ristorante si presente bene, per i miei gusti un pò troppo olio nei primi sopra tutto nei funghi e tartufo, ottimi i tagli di carme, ben cotti e gustosi, eccezionali gli arrosticini, l'antipasto di salumi viene presentato con fettine doppie e non particolarmente gustoso. Buoni i formaggi. Prezzo onesto
25/01/2025: Sabato a pranzo con la famiglia: 2 adulti e 4 bambini.
Avrei dato 5 stelle, peccato per la mancanza di sale sugli arrosticini e sull'arrosto misto.
Partiamo dall'antipasto della casa, davvero ottimo, composto da salumi, formaggi, polpettine, funghi e farro.
Abbiamo preso 2 ottime porzioni di gnocchi al pomodoro che sono bastate per tutti e 6.
Arrivati i 35 arrosticini di carne e 10 di fegato siamo rimasti un po' delusi dalla mancanza di sale, confermata anche da mia moglie e mio figlio grande. Ottimi però di cottura.
Mancava il sale anche sull'arrosto misto ma a differenza dell'arrosto dove il sale si può aggiungere anche dopo, l'arrosticino va salato durante la cottura.
Come dessert abbiamo preso il fungo, un ottimo semifreddo.
Prezzi onesti, caffè offerto, personale cordiale e celere.
Tutto sommato un buon pranzo, torneremo confidando che la prossima volta venga usato il sale.

03/05/2025: Conoscevamo il ristorante da tanti anni e abbiamo mangiato sempre gli arrosticini super buoni, classificandoli i migliori in assoluto della zona....
Oggi siamo tornati e con grande delusione....ci siamo resi conto che gli arrosticini ottimi sono solo un ricordo....
La carne è dura piena di nervi e grassi e pochissimi sono i pezzi mangiabili...
Abbiamo riempito il piatto di scarti...
Purtroppo sono anche indigesti....
Peccato..!!! La Signora Maria ci aveva spiegato come lei procedeva nel preparare accuratamente gli arrosticini senza un minimo di scarto... 4 pezzi di carne e in mezzo una pezzo di pancetta...
Super teneri e digeribili....
Adesso non è più così.... Per non parlare dei prezzi eccessivi...
Il conto arrotondato è un vizio che hanno loro....
Non torneremo più...

2 antipasti freddi e caldi 2 primi di cui 1 bianco e 1 rosso (ravioli) 20 arrosticini e 1/2 litro di vino rosso con bottiglia di acqua e 2 caffè . Lo Trovo un pochettino esagerato .85,90 € a Villa Celiera. Fatta foto ricordo fuori del ristorante.
