25/11/2025: The owner is a gentleman. He has the bearing and manner of a prince. Excellent food, a historic restaurant on the coast. Everything perfect!

23/10/2025: The host, Fabio, offers our tour guests an amazing menu of fresh seafood or lamb, or vegetarian options if desired. Outside the window is a beautiful view of the Adriatic Sea. This is our go-to group lunch spot for our visits to Ortona on our WWII battlefield tours.

13/12/2025: Three of us entered after asking if there was room, and we sat down while the place was still lightly crowded. We ordered an appetizer (chips and croquettes) and pizzas. After our order, a large group of about 40 people arrived. From that moment on, we watched pizzas continue to be delivered, intended exclusively for that table, while ours never arrived. Upon our first inquiry, we were told the pizzas were "in the oven," but in the meantime, pizzas continued to be delivered only to the group. After a further wait, we politely pointed out that we had arrived early and that the situation didn't seem right. The response we received was that the place "organizes itself as it wishes" because the owners decide the priorities. No prior explanation, no apology. At that point, we decided to leave. When asked to pay for our food, we were told that "everything wasn't all right" and that we didn't have to pay, a statement that seemed inelegant rather than decisive. It's a shame, because the initial kindness gave us hope. The overall experience was negative due to the time management and, above all, the way a legitimate complaint was handled.

18/10/2025: My husband and I enjoyed excellent quality dishes for lunch. The delicate sauces enhance the full flavor of the fish; there are no breadcrumbs, concentrated sauces, or strong spices: even the dessert made with stale bread is simple and elegant. 👏🏻 We also greatly appreciated the white linen placemats and cutlery holder. The staff who served us were very kind, attentive, and friendly. Thanks to all the staff and to the chef, who enlightened us about the history of the family trabocco, which inspired him to delight us with unique and refined dishes.

10/02/2026: 01/26. I must admit it wasn't easy to write a review because it was almost an experience... I went with friends who already knew the place; they'd given me a heads-up... But actually experiencing it is another matter entirely. The place is minimal and not exactly tidy, but it's the substance that counts. After we sat down in a heated outdoor terrace with an extractor hood over the table, the owner arrived. He's a real insider. He tries to figure out what you're made of—or rather, what kind of meat—and then he'll tell you his opinion. If you're not very knowledgeable, it's best to trust him and his advice. We had an appetizer where we tasted literally everything, and then moved on to the meat, which, in our case, included a South American breed cooked whole and a Polish beef seared and "reheated" on the provided grill. The cuts are definitely top-notch, and there's so much to choose from, so much so that it becomes difficult to choose. We overdid it with the appetizers and raw fish, so I, at least, didn't fully enjoy the subsequent cuts. I recommend just a taste at the beginning, or getting straight to the point. The menu is very simple: prices are listed on one side, and cuts and sample dishes on the other. Just ask for the correct weight. In closing, I'll just say that you'll have to go there to form your own opinion; the best reviews don't tell the whole story. My advice is that there's plenty of room for improvement in the quality of the service.

23/08/2025: Simplicity, hospitality, and kindness are perhaps the three words that best describe this beach resort and restaurant between Francavilla and Ortona. I came here with my partner and two girls for a quiet day at the beach, and everything went really well. Not too many rows of umbrellas, really good prices. A quiet, family-friendly atmosphere, excellent value for money at the restaurant with a full sea view, and that lived-in atmosphere that's missing from so many more upscale establishments. We had a wonderful time, thank you!

16/11/2025: A quick stop for a "chicchetto" (ratafià and gentian). Excellent, we'll definitely be back to try the food accompanied by wine (there are many, and all excellent). And then the kindness of the owner, especially given the hour, made us feel at ease. A short but intense stop, see you soon and thank you.

15/11/2025: We went to this venue for dinner on its first winter opening night, with dinner and ballroom dancing. The food was carefully prepared and very good. Excellent service, everyone was friendly, and the fun was guaranteed. A piece of advice: remove some of the tables at the dance floor, which weren't needed anyway, to widen the dance floor, which unfortunately isn't very big.

24/09/2025: A real shame. Until last year, it was truly the go-to place for a good takeout seafood dish. Today, I don't know what's changed, it's a complete disaster. We ordered four different types of pasta with four different sauces...ALL INEDIBLE. Overcooked and tasteless pasta, completely flavorless sauce, and with a couple of inches of water at the bottom. I've heard so many people complain about the same thing. A real shame.
