We had a truly memorable dining experience at the Walserschild restaurant, where every detail contributed to making our meal special. The restaurant, with its typically mountain atmosphere, is welcoming, meticulously crafted, and perfect for both a romantic dinner and a family meal. We began with two delicious and refined appetizers, which immediately demonstrated the high-quality ingredients and the care with which the dishes are prepared. The first courses were also excellent, flavorful, and well-balanced, showcasing local flavors and impeccable cooking techniques. The classic rib-eye steak and the Valdostan-style breaded rib-eye steak were both cooked to perfection: the meat was tender and flavorful, accompanied by savory side dishes—a true celebration of Valdostan gastronomic tradition. The service was courteous, attentive, and professional, with staff always ready to accommodate our every need, even that of our child, making the entire meal enjoyable and unhurried. A wonderful discovery, everything was excellent, the staff were very kind, I would have asked for seconds. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We'll definitely be back.

Impeccable dinner. All the dishes were exquisite. The meat was cooked perfectly and the porcini mushrooms were delicious. The dining room is a bit noisy, but it's not too bothersome; you can really feel the mountain cabin vibe. The service was good!

One of the few places open on Mondays, which is a big deal. Good food, good variety, very young and friendly staff. Some dishes are a bit pricey in my opinion, while others are average/good. Very welcoming atmosphere.

Excellent dinner! Excellent tagliolini with porcini mushrooms!

Excellent restaurant. We went here last night with my family for my husband's birthday, without a reservation. We dined in a super comfortable room, with wood walls and large windows overlooking the valley, truly evocative. The service was perfect, the waiters were very kind and ready to accommodate any request. We ordered two appetizers (the tartare with breaded egg yolk and polenta flakes and a potato flan with fontina fondue and fried leeks, both excellent), two first courses (tagliolini with porcini mushrooms and ravioli stuffed with ossobuco, delicious), and two second courses for the kids (there was no cutlet, so they offered grilled chicken breast and the legendary Valdostan giant, delicious). For dessert, two ice creams with berries and meringues, a tiramisu, and a stuffed peach with vanilla ice cream. Water, a couple of soft drinks, a glass of prosecco, and a blueberry liqueur. We spent €175 (the chicken breast was probably expensive compared to the other dishes, to be honest). In any case, I'd rather go out less and spend this amount than dine out more often for less quality. Superb dinner in a beautiful setting. Highly recommended.

Great experience, lovely atmosphere, friendly and professional service, truly excellent food. The vegetarian parcel and tagliolini with porcini mushrooms are highly recommended. Good wine list. It's a shame it's not closer to home.
