Villa Liberty In Lipari

We booked this restaurant for both the aperitif and the dinner, attracted by the beautiful location. Upon arrival, the terrace was undoubtedly suggestive, but the organization left something to be desired: even though there were free tables in the front row, we were shown a table in the second row with the unpleasant effect of admiring the heads of our neighbors more than the view. The aperitif confirmed the tendency of the entire island to have decidedly high prices: 15 euros for a gin and tonic served without even bringing the bottle of tonic to the table — a small gesture that would have made the service more attentive. For dinner we were accompanied upstairs: here too the few tables with a view of the sunset were reserved, even though some remained empty until late at night. Our table for two gave us a view that was not breathtaking: I was facing the mountain antennas, my partner was facing the entrance to the restaurant. The food, it must be said, was of good quality, but once again the price seemed disproportionate to what was offered. The final bill of 170 euros leaves a bitter taste in the mouth, not so much for the amount itself, but for the general feeling of an experience that, with a little more attention, could have turned into a beautiful evening. It is a shame to note how in many locations on the island that little “cuddle” that often makes the difference is missing: a thoughtful gesture, a detail of courtesy, that care of the guest that transforms a beautiful place into a special place.

Beautiful location for a high quality restaurant, courteous and kind.

It is located on the highest point of Lipari from which you can enjoy an excellent view of all the Aeolian Islands, especially at sunset. Each course is a discovery and a tasting, the seared tuna with caponata is worth the climb up. Extensive wine list, local, Sicilian and also imported. I think it is the best restaurant in all of Lipari.

We had dinner in this fantastic restaurant, what can I say... very welcoming and friendly staff, excellent cuisine, visually beautiful and really good dishes! We felt at home... we will definitely be back...

Posto Spettacolare!! Si vede il tramonto guardando le isole di’ Filicudi e Alicudi, abbiamo degustato un Dentice buonissimo e non potete non prendere il tiramisù fatto dalla figlia della proprietaria il servizio è eccellente!!

Prima vacanza in Siciliai in questa meravigliosa isola e due volte in una settimana in questo ristorante.. che dire.. . Accolti da Hector, persona squisita gentile e super disponibile, così come da Fabio che ci ha preparato degli ottimi aperitivi e la signora Nunzia proprietaria.. cibo ottimo.. alla seconda volta abbiamo richiesto pesce crudo su prenotazione.. accontentati .. mangiato un dentice crudo da favola così come la fantasia di crudi e alici come antipasto,un risotto al nero di seppia su un letto di taleggio, spaghettoni con alici pinoli e mandorle , seppioline ripiene di agrumi, alici in beccafico .. insomma tutto squisito.. quando poi ti senti coccolato come a casa è il massimo! Grazie veramente per le splendidi serate con vista mozzafiato , sono un grande plus! Speriamo di poter ripetere l’esperienza! Dimenticavo .. ristorante pet friendly! Wonderful experience; breathtaking views, dishes with attention to detail and courtesy of the high-level staff… My partner and I had a wonderful evening. Note also for the desserts, really excellent!

First experience for us this year in April at Sangre Rojo after many years on Lipari. The location is spacious even though we were there on a cloudy evening (it was cool and there was almost fog around the restaurant). The idea of ​​having customers start the evening on the veranda with an aperitif is very suggestive. Then we continued inside with delicious dishes. Elaborate and excellent first courses, among which the Calamarata with seafood ragu certainly stands out (they recommended it to us, specifying that they too had eaten it for lunch... and later I understood why). The homemade pistachio pesto dishes aren't bad either. I could go on and on about starters and desserts... all really excellent. Wife and children thrilled with the whole dinner. Keep it up. Ps: when you do the evaluation it asks for "rooms" and not "food". I valued rooms as if they were food.
