Generator Venice In Venezia

Excellent location. Cheap and tasteful. Good overall management. The bar and counter staff need improvement.

Good youth hostel, just the rooms were quite noisy, arrived at a certain time, and the condition of the showers and toilets. Otherwise it's well placed, and there is a good atmosphere.

I am a very experienced Hostel Dweller. Not so much in Italy, but in other European countries. I've been to a couple in Milano and in Pisa, but never in Venice. The one in Venice was quite nice, even though I was only there for just one night. As an Italian Citizen who wishes to experience actually living in Italy, it is really fun to stay in Hostels, and I am also sort of a Digital Nomad. The only real criticism I have about this place is that they could use more electrical outlets in the common area. Maybe that will attract people who will wish to also live in Venice. Employees of the hostel get a great deal for lodging. They must really enjoy living in Venice.

The staff is so friendly. Good location for public transportation. Cheap bar prices and also they are organizing social activities.

not bad not great, I think if you're a different kind of traveller this may work for you but it didn't for me pros: reception staff were lovely and helpful, rooms were clean, beds were nice, reliable fast Wi-Fi cons: the only Communal hang out space is always playing loud music, no kitchen (no microwave no kettle) and very little ammenities food and coffee were supbar my main problem was the bathrooms, the set up is very awkward and it's hard to change/dry without exiting the shower stall directly into a common area anyone can walk into any second, the shower glass is all very see through, could have been much cleaner as well, there was a permenent vomit smell and be warned you need expensive boat tickets to get back and forth from the main part of Venice

Good hostel but don't take the breakfast

EXCELLENT. This hostel far exceeded my friends and I’s expectations for the price we paid. The service was amazing and the lobby was very comfortable. There are guitars, board games, and even a chess set for guests to use. There are events every night and a bar to purchase drinks at night or coffees and breakfast in the morning. For transportation, I’d recommend purchasing a 3 day Rolling Venice pass, as there is a water taxi station a short walk from this hostel that is a quick trip to and from San Marco square. Why stay in the expensive part of Venice when there is the Generator? (Bring your own towel and padlock though)
