This restaurant was a pleasant surprise. It feels like a really authentic family restaurant, it's very quiet, the staff are friendly and the food is out of this world. Recommendation: try the risotto!

Located in the medieval center of Pavia.
Excellent food and service.
The environment is actually nothing special, but the context located in the heart of the city must be considered. It's nice when it's a little cold and foggy; it appears like an ancient refuge.

Locale storico in un vecchio edificio nella parte storica longobarda della città. Non facile da trovare e non facile parcheggiare. La location e piacevole al primo impatto ma necessiterebbe di una rinfrescata generale mantenendo l'identità. Piatti non banali. rapporto qualità/cibo buona. Rapporto qualità/atmosfera servizio sufficiente.

Excellent selection of cold cuts. The dumplings and flan are delicious. The first courses, the beaf and the homemade desserts are delicious. Spacious and quiet place, kind and friendly owners. It was a pleasant discovery in Pavia.

A Sunday lunch with friends, among the flavors and history of little Pavia. An obligatory stop is the Ressi restaurant, a family-run restaurant, with an interesting a la carte menu and a good choice of wines.
To end the lunch, try their amaro made with 18 medicinal herbs, some I guessed, the others I'm identifying (I bought a bottle).

Nice restaurant 2 steps from the center (but in the centre).
Small room (better to book), well-kept room (kitchen access could be improved), not noisy.
Ortimo service: welcoming, polite, familiar and attentive.
Traditional Lombard dishes. Goat's cheeses are interesting and intriguing.

Sono proprio capaci..
a cuocere la carne le ore che ci vogliono prima di chiuderla in una pasta fatta da Dio, a friggere funghi che sanno di fungo, ad arrostire le patate, a dare il gusto del risotto al riso, ad avere un solo amaro, ma imperdibile.

They are really capable...
to cook the meat for the hours it takes before enclosing it in a pasta made by God, to fry mushrooms that taste like mushrooms, to roast the potatoes, to give the taste of risotto to the rice, to have only one bitter, but unmissable one.
