Trattoria I' Pepolino In Pelago

Very friendly, super competitive prices, quick service. It's a bit risky to find a seat right away, but it's a sign that the place is well-liked.

I didn't give the ambiance its best rating only because it's a bit noisy for me, as I have some hearing problems. Unfortunately, there's only so much space... For a small trattoria where you eat well and spend a fair amount, you can overlook a few minor inconveniences ;-) The people who welcomed us were extremely kind, attentive, and helpful; and human warmth makes everything better. The menu offers a good selection of traditional dishes; the fresh pasta dishes were very satisfying. The tagliata was excellent; we asked for a customization for the pork loin (addition of dried tomatoes and caramelized onion), which was prepared without any problems and we loved it. Some desserts were sold out, but even the remaining ones were good. A very honest account; these days, it helps me come back more often... it's a shame I live in Montecatini, but I'm happy to come here whenever I get around.

Trattoria. As it should be, simple, good. I only tried two main courses, but I appreciated both the food and the no-frills atmosphere. Well done. I would perhaps increase the portions slightly.

Best meal of my life! So nice we had to go twice, two days in a row! Especially since the handwritten menu rotates every day. The food full of flavor, attention to detail and passion. I highly recommend the Ragu alla Bolognese (get the house made Tagliatelle pasta) and Zucchine Ripene Di Carne(Beef & Zuchini). The atmosphere cozy, welcoming, makes you feel like you found the best hidden gem in the countryside of Tuscany. And the service, well Stefano made us feel like family. Without asking he went through every item on the menu and described it to us to make sure we had the best meal possible. It’s the kind of place that makes you wish you lived close enough to be a regular. Thank you for becoming a memory my wife and I will cherish forever…we hope to come back as soon as we can make it back to Tuscany. Grazie mille!

As always, the food is divine. Yesterday we had the Livorno-style cod... spectacular, not to mention the flans... and everything else... excellent. Well done guys, keep up the good work!!
