Trattoria Anni 60 In Forza d'agrò

We recently went on holiday to Taormina and wanted to hike up Mount Etna. On the way, we stopped in Zafferano Etna, where a woman recommended that we don't eat in Taormina, but instead in a beautiful place called Forza d'Agro. It's about 30 minutes from Taormina, nestled in the mountains with stunning views of the sea and Calabria. Incidentally, scenes from the film "Il Padrino" were filmed there! We had a wonderful meal at this trattoria, of course with fish, and the value for money was excellent! Highly recommended!

We were with Dori Rudnicka, who took us there. The food was excellent! The grilled swordfish and the catch of the day were fantastic! The wine and desserts were wonderful! The views!! The service was helpful and polite. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

A must-try in the historic center: quality that makes the difference! ​We visited this restaurant in the heart of the historic center on a Saturday around 1:45 PM. Despite the time, the restaurant was packed (while other nearby restaurants were almost empty): reservations are definitely recommended! It wasn't a chance discovery, but a recommendation from my sister, who had been there several times, and we were right to follow it. ​The atmosphere is clean, quiet, and has a spectacular view; the staff is friendly, quick, and very attentive. In addition to the daily specials, there's an excellent à la carte selection. We started with a wide variety of appetizers (meat and fish), followed by an excellent grilled dish and tasty, tender, and generous swordfish chops. The quality is top-notch: the fish isn't farmed, and you can taste it. ​The local wine by the glass (white, rosé, or red) is also excellent and truly enjoyable. We finished on a high note with fresh local desserts and a natural, non-industrial sorbet. The menu is meticulously curated, well-presented, and offers excellent value. A guarantee, we'll definitely be back!

Stopped here during a godfather tour. The restaurant was recommended by our tour guide and it didn't disappoint. They have a balcony which looks from Forza d agro across the Messina Straight to Reggio.

A gem find and the reviews back it up. It was almost closing time but they checked and seated us…no pasta but rice is fine. Amazing seafood, ambience and service!
