Terrazza Grill In Eraclea

The place is nice and large, with tables both on the veranda and inside, and the atmosphere is welcoming and refined. The portions are adequate; my steak might not have been very large, but the grilled fish platter was just the right amount. Despite it being a fairly busy Saturday night, the waiters were friendly and helpful, and the waitress who filleted our fish was excellent and very kind. We had reservations, but we still had to wait a while for a table due to the crowd and perhaps also due to the owner's disorganization. He didn't seem very up to speed on prioritizing reservations, and in fact, he gave us the impression of being a bottleneck in the dining room management rather than a support for his colleagues. For example, he complained that a waiter was slow, when in reality he was just listing the dessert menu. Sensing the tension of the moment, I decided to let the waiter go so as not to waste any more time. But the bottom line is that I preferred to eat dessert somewhere else. It may not be much, but a loss of revenue due to mismanagement is not such a smart thing in my opinion.

The place is very nice and the mussels are delicious. It's a shame about a huge mistake that ruined the dinner. The raw scampi still had the intestines intact. This small mistake ruins everything because it makes the scampi bitter (luckily I noticed it before eating it). Apart from that, the waitress was kind and very well-prepared, so that saved it from getting three stars for service. Otherwise, the mussels are delicious. I recommend the ones with Gorgonzola and the one with Gaeta olives. It's a shame about that mistake with the scampi. Otherwise, I would have given it five stars. The price is low. €200 for four people for a meal of fish is not much, believe me. Definitely worth trying, even just for the mussels.

I've eaten at Eraclea Mare quite a few times. The ambiance and service were perfectly fine. I've had better Capesante elsewhere. The Vinci frizzante was very good. The pizza looked good... definitely worth a visit.
