Taverna Del Ghiottone In Fano

We come once a year (at least) when we're vacationing in the area. The food is excellent, to say the least, but the highlight is definitely the staff, who, despite the fact that it's not seasonal, were happy to prepare the seafood carbonara (which I obviously recommend to everyone!).

Dinner for 2 on May 26, 2025 Spacious restaurant, converted from an old mill, with a remarkable terracotta barrel vault. We ate . 2 passatelli with seafood, a savory, tasty dish. . 1 fried calamari, shrimp, and vegetables. Perfectly cooked, not at all greasy, very digestible. . 1 mixed seafood grill, abundant and varied. . 1 bottle of Bianchello del Metauro (a local white wine, still, moderately strong, fragrant). . 1 water . 1 house semifreddo . 1 moretta (a typical Fano coffee, with a blend of liqueurs and orange zest), excellent for digestion. All for €104. I definitely recommend this place. ****** Dinner on August 30, 2025 Passing through Fano, we returned to this restaurant. I confirm the very positive overall opinion. We ate: . 1 marinated anchovies with onion: pleasant, delicate . 1 chickpea and clam soup, excellent with a drizzle of oil and a sprinkle of pepper . 1 passatelli with mantis shrimp and cherry tomatoes, good and plentiful . 1 tagliatelle with squid ink, chopped otata and cherry tomatoes . 1 bottle of Verdicchio di Jesi Umano e Ronchi, savory, salty, at the right temperature, perfect for the dishes mentioned . 2 warm chocolate cakes . 2 morette . 1 bottle of water All for 95 euros Great value for money. If we have the chance, we'll be back.

Very beautiful setting, good food, friendly staff

I loved it so much, I came for dinner two nights in a row. The staff was professional, friendly, and attentive to detail. I tried both meat and fish dishes, and both were exceptional. If you come to Fano, a stop here is a must.

Very carefully prepared dishes with a well-rounded menu, a truly superb selection of fish for both first and second courses (special mention for the "bombolini" made according to the traditional recipe, which are hard to find these days). The atmosphere is very charming, with a large barrel-vaulted dining room, and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, happy to accommodate any personal requests regarding the dishes. Very fair prices. I've already been back and will continue to do so. A well-deserved 5 stars.

I discovered this restaurant a few years ago, and it's been a regular stop every time I'm in the area ever since. The atmosphere is very charming and refined. The food is excellent, and not to mention the friendly and professional service, but most importantly, the staff are very attentive. I highly recommend it.

Abbiamo trovato questo ristorante cercando su Maps un ristorante a Fano. Direi che è stata un ottima scelta. Il locale è molto bello e il cibo è veramente ottimo. Abbiamo ordinato un antipasto freddo e caldo molto ricco, poi di seguito fritto di paranza e filetto di orata in crosta di patate. Tutto buono e pesce fresco. Prezzi molto buoni. Servizio cordiale. A presto!
