The food was very good (though not super generous portions). But what shocked us most was the €14 glass of red wine. The staff were dishonest in not telling us the price and that we paid for the bottle because they didn't sell it by the glass. In short, the food was good, but this restaurant's honesty needs improvement.

The view is simply spectacular; it's hard to find words to describe how beautiful it is at Miejsce. The pasta dishes are truly exquisite—fresh, full of flavor, and prepared with great care. And the limoncello… fantastic! The waitress was wonderful, incredibly sweet and kind, and the owner was extremely hospitable and friendly. We felt not like customers, but like good friends visiting. A place full of atmosphere, excellent food, and kind-hearted people. We recommend it to everyone! ❤️

Splendid location, slightly secluded with a beautiful view of the Portofino inlet. The staff and owners were friendly, kind, and helpful. The food and drinks were truly delicious, and the price was right considering the location. We will definitely be back and recommend it to anyone who appreciates good food in a wonderful setting!

Nice moment, we had a carbonara and spaghetti in voltini. We had three servers differents, but then... We had a good lunch!

Absolutely incredible. The waitress was so sweet and attentive. I loved the food. I ordered pasta with langoustines, and she asked if she'd peel them for me. I'll definitely be back! 🩷

Ristorante Strainer doesn't pretend to be a luxury restaurant, but it's a clean and charming restaurant, befitting its location right on the Portofino pier, with breathtaking views and colors. The service was excellent!! Giuliana was very kind. We had tagliolini with white truffle, creamed in Parmesan cheese, sprinkled with pepper on the bottom of the plate... To say they were delicious would be an understatement... excellent!!! Fried calamari and peeled prawns, excellent! Homemade desserts, and a light white wine. We really enjoyed it!!

Wow, I do not understand why the overall rating for this place is so low. I highly recommend eating at Strainer! The food was awesome and the prices were reasonable for Portofino. The view is beautiful. This was our favorite place that we ate in Portofino and it ended up being way better than some other higher rated restaurants in the area.

We’ve been to Strainer over 15 years ago and returned today. The pasta and seafood are absolutely amazing! The service was fantastic and the wine recommendation was perfect with the truffle pasta in the Parmesan cheese wheel. Absolutely perfect lunch, again!

23/02/2026: On Saturday evening, February 21st, after so many thoughts (the restaurant near my house never crosses my mind, who knows why...), I tried to make a reservation. It's always busy, but it's a bit late; maybe next time... but no! A cheerful, friendly female voice called back, telling me they still had a table for four. I took it right away, and I was right. A truly wonderful experience: the place is very quiet and intimate with nice, relaxing music. The cellar is well-stocked with a wide selection of wines. We tried a good Sardinian Vermentino and an excellent Pigato. The food, in no particular order: eggs from the shop, cod balls, squid ink ravioli filled with fish and seafood sauce, fillet with red wine sauce, stuffed guinea fowl, and finally, a sbrisolona and chocolate sphere. Everything was perfect! Great attention to food quality. It deserves the accolades it has received, and we'll be back. Finally, when it was time to pay the (adequate) bill, the "owner" of the telephone voice came out to say hello: well done, Sigrid! This friendly and brilliant thirty-year-old has a great future as a chef. Well done to her and her staff! We'll definitely see you again!

No, I don't have any wine but it's safe to say that it's the right point of the order: Antipasto: gnocchetti di calamaro Jerusalem artichoke and mandorle Secondi: ombrina e carciofi polpo arrosto carciofo fumè and crema all’aglio dolce Dessert: 2 lime sorbetti All veramente buono squisito porzioni non abbondanti ma justice. Personale dress in an elegant, friendly, competent, professional, cordial and available manner. During the dinner, the chef and owner Sigrid came to greet you very kindly, competent and professional. For as long as the restaurant is ready for customers, it's almost always the case that I'm waiting and quickly when the restaurant is ready for customers, it's too slow with a long wait specie to have the meal and the price taken care of for the excellent quality of the dishes. As for the service, initially, when we were almost alone, it was attentive and quick, but later, as the restaurant filled up, it became too slow, with long waits, especially for the bill and a fair price considering the excellent quality of the food. My wife and I had dinner at this restaurant and wine bar located in the Albaro neighborhood of Genoa, near the Albaro Village Arena. It's small, with several tables inside in two rooms and also outside in a small courtyard with large plants. We didn't drink wine, but it's certainly their strong point, and we ordered: Appetizer: Squid gnocchi, Jerusalem artichoke, and almonds Main courses: Underwater octopus, smoked artichoke, and sweet garlic cream Dessert: Two lemon sorbets Everything was truly delicious, and the portions weren't large, but just right. The staff were elegantly dressed, welcoming, smiling, competent, professional, friendly, and helpful. During dinner, the chef and owner, Sigrid, came out to greet us.
