We ate here three times. The food was excellent. Twice the service was super friendly.
But last Wednesday, the service wasn't friendly. No greeting, no asking if the food was good, and no goodbyes. We found that very unfortunate.

A great restaurant in the heart of Monsummano, with excellent meat and delicious pizza. Both indoor and outdoor seating are available, and the prices are reasonable. Recommended.

Amazing dinner with a group of 12
We had an absolutely fantastic dinner at Ristorante Pizzeria SOTTOGROTTA with a group of 12 people. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed, and the service was truly excellent – friendly, attentive, and fluent in English, which made communication easy and smooth.
The food was delicious – from the fresh, flavorful pizzas to the perfectly cooked pastas and other dishes, everything was of high quality and clearly made with care. Despite our large group, all meals arrived at the same time and piping hot, which shows great coordination from the kitchen staff.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was also lovely – cozy, authentic, and full of character.

A place with an excellent quality-price ratio, unfortunately we arrived a little late and many meat second courses were finished. However, we ate the first courses and the pizza very well. The ladies who served and recommended the food at the tables were extremely kind.

We didn't like it. At first, none of the waiters knew if a table was available for us. It took the third waiter to take care of it. The service was flippant and couldn't even crack a smile. The tables were placed outside, carelessly on the sidewalk. The food was okay, but poorly presented. We had the impression that the guests were just trying to make room for the next person. It was a shame about the evening.

Encontré este gran restaurante por casualidad al buscar salir del hotel para cenar en la ciudad. A pesar de ser los únicos no locales en el restaurante, el personal nos encontró una mesa en una concurrida noche de viernes y nos sirvió una comida increíble. El lugar estaba lleno y las pastas y pizzas eran increíbles. Volvimos una segunda vez antes de salir de la ciudad 4 días después.
El precio no se puede superar aquí también, ya que la comida y el alcohol era más que razonable. Ambas noches, incluyendo una botella de vino salimos gastando unos 40€ (que si te alojas en Grotta Giusti como estábamos es esencialmente el precio de 2 bebidas).
Si alguna vez en esta parte de Italia de nuevo, volvería.
