It's one of those places you always want to return to. For three reasons: location, courtesy, and food. The dish I enjoyed today was Troccoli allo scoglio; I recommend it because it's truly made to order.

We stumbled upon this truly fantastic place today. Just above Mattinata, a breathtaking view of the sea and olive groves (it's a shame about the rain, but the view was beautiful nonetheless). Lunch included an excellent plate of orecchiette allo scoglio (seafood orecchiette) and a homemade dessert made with almonds and lemon cream. Excellent. The welcome was extraordinary, the people were kind and cheerful. I highly recommend it.

I highly recommend Scarpetta D'oro. This simply enchanting place offers a view of the beautiful Mattinata and its fantastic sea. The atmosphere excites and makes you enjoy lunch or dinner from the moment you arrive. Spacious yet intimate. I want to give a special compliment to the owner, who is very polite, kind, friendly, and above all professional. The food is a culinary adventure. We obviously had seafood for lunch. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the dishes were well-proportioned, allowing you to savor the true flavor of the sea. There was no wait. We were welcomed and pampered until the very end. I highly recommend this place. I will be back very soon and will definitely return many times.

04/10/2025: What can I say... Just passing through Lesina, you wouldn't expect to find a place like this. The kitchen is open to the public, and the staff serving your table is very polite and helpful. The dishes are very carefully prepared; the prices are reasonable considering the quality: the fish is freshly caught (of the day). I also saw the "pieces" of meat... however, despite being a carnivore, I preferred the fish. Highly recommended, I'll definitely be back and maybe even eat meat: seeing the cuts of meat hanging there made me want to.
20/09/2025: 5 stars because 10 is impossible!! One of our best dinners ever! The restaurant is welcoming and the staff are truly kind and attentive, with a special mention for the lady who looked after us so helpfully. The open kitchen is truly stunning, allowing you to appreciate even more the care and passion with which the dishes are prepared. The fish is excellent, and the flavors are carefully and harmoniously combined. The seafood carbonara is highly recommended; my girlfriend and I absolutely fell in love with it: a dish that alone is worth the visit! A restaurant that combines passion, quality, and hospitality. We'll definitely be back!

30/11/2025: Our first time at the embassy for lunch. They were friendly, right from the phone reservation. We ordered the tasting menu for €40 per person, excluding drinks and service charge. There were so many courses, each one better than the last. The food was high-quality, but cooked simply and authentically. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back.
