We stumbled upon this truly fantastic place today. Just above Mattinata, a breathtaking view of the sea and olive groves (it's a shame about the rain, but the view was beautiful nonetheless). Lunch included an excellent plate of orecchiette allo scoglio (seafood orecchiette) and a homemade dessert made with almonds and lemon cream. Excellent. The welcome was extraordinary, the people were kind and cheerful. I highly recommend it.

I highly recommend Scarpetta D'oro.
This simply enchanting place offers a view of the beautiful Mattinata and its fantastic sea. The atmosphere excites and makes you enjoy lunch or dinner from the moment you arrive. Spacious yet intimate. I want to give a special compliment to the owner, who is very polite, kind, friendly, and above all professional. The food is a culinary adventure. We obviously had seafood for lunch. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the dishes were well-proportioned, allowing you to savor the true flavor of the sea. There was no wait. We were welcomed and pampered until the very end. I highly recommend this place. I will be back very soon and will definitely return many times.

We stopped there on the way back from Vieste to Bari.
The atmosphere was refined; we ate outside on the terrace, with a beautiful view of an olive grove. We had seafood and vegetarian appetizers; tuna in pistachio sauce and grilled sea bream; and we finished with a lemon and almond cake and a ricotta and chocolate cake.
It was all delicious, and if we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back!
