Sant'Ambroeus In Milano

While taking an evening stroll through the fashion street of Monte Napoleone, I turned the corner and saw a refined restaurant.   I Wasn't hungry,  but could use a drink.   Sat at the bar and asked for a white Negroni.  It blew my mind,  the best I have had.  Soon came some salted Marcona almonds and spiced cashews,  so delicious.  Soon I had to ask for another white negroni.  By now a bit buzzed, I needed food but not dinner.   So I asked if they had small bites and soon finger sandwiches appeared full of Scottish smoked salmon goodness.  I finished them and checked out.  But I saw delectable chocolate truffles to the side.   I couldn't resist and had to have a dark chocolate truffle,  outstanding.  Grazie.

Touch of international elegance after the much appreciated restyling. Super recommended for sweet and savory breakfasts. The dishes are also good for lunch and dinner. The pasta, boiled vegetables and lobster roll are highly recommended! If you are lucky enough to be served by Renato, you will be pampered with professionalism and extreme courtesy. Sant'Ambroeus is one of my favorites in Milan.

A great classic in Milan, this pastry restaurant which presents itself both outside and inside in an elegant guise, I can only judge the fresh and good mignon pastries and the good aperitif, even the spritz accompanied with many savory delicacies, impeccable service, high prices.

Absolutely fabulous! My husband has said this was the best meal he has ever eaten and we are foodies and eat out a lot. Leonardo offered excellent service only to be trumped by the quality, variety and presentation of the food. We enjoyed the seasonal salad of porcini mushroom Parmesan cheese and grapes in a light vinaigrette, followed by squid in the most exquisite red sauce. Veal cutlet on the bone pounded, thin and crusted in a buttery breadcrumb, perfectly cooked and crispy, along with fusilli in a delicious slightly spiced pesto with pistachio. Biscotti plate and small pastry with gorgeous domed desserts to finish an excellent meal. The dining room was a beautiful backdrop to this fantastic meal. We enjoyed speaking with their manager, Claudia, and cannot wait to experience their sister locations in New York, which we visit often. A definite yes for anyone in the area !
