San Glicerio 1 In Milano

The food is delicious, but the service is mediocre.

We recently visited SAN GLICERIO UNO, and I have to say it was one of the best seafood experiences I've had in a while. The fish arrived incredibly fresh, and you could tell it was made fresh every day: perfect crudo (a wonderful mixed crudo with red shrimp, scampi, and sea urchins of the highest quality), a light and crispy fry that wasn't at all greasy. Even the spaghetti with clams was prepared just right: pasta cooked to perfection, plenty of clams, and a flavorful cooking juices that weren't overdone with oil. But what really made the difference was the service: kind, attentive, and never intrusive. They looked after us throughout the evening with great professionalism and friendliness, recommending the dishes of the day and passionately explaining the provenance of the catch. They even had the patience to accommodate a small change to my wife's dish without a hitch. The prices are fair for the quality and type of restaurant. We'll definitely be back and recommend it to anyone looking for a place to eat well-prepared seafood, without overdoing it with creativity, but focusing on the ingredients and execution. Really well done!
