San Filippo Neri In Milano

I had lunch at this trattoria with my family and the experience was excellent. We opted for the great classics: an excellent risotto alla Milanese and expertly cooked cutlets. ​Strengths: ​Value for money: Absolutely excellent, it's hard to find better in Milan while staying true to tradition. ​Ambience: We ate outdoors and the atmosphere was very pleasant. ​Service: The staff was kind, courteous, and very helpful. ​In short, everything went smoothly. If you're looking for the substance and flavor of the past, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

We get along great and often have lunch there on Sundays! I'm a fan of mondeghini!

The trattoria certainly has potential, but currently has several issues that compromise the overall experience. The organization leaves much to be desired: the service is confusing and uncoordinated, with wait times that aren't always justified. Another negative is the drinks, which seem watered down and poorly prepared, far from what one would expect even in a casual setting. As for the food, the experience starts out well: the appetizers are tasty and well-prepared, suggesting a high-quality meal. However, from the subsequent courses onward, the quality declines, settling at a decent level but without any particular merits. In short, a trattoria that could significantly improve, especially by working on its organization and consistent quality in the kitchen.

Good food, good prices, basic and slightly chaotic atmosphere, but that's fine; that's its beauty. My only complaint is the organization. We had reservations, but we had to wait in line outside behind a lot of people without reservations.

Not much vegetarian choice but my favorite place in Milan

A trattoria from another era, where the simplicity of the past is at home.

A truly beautiful place. We ate out on a beautiful day. We had two menus (first course, second course, and side dish) for €16.50, with the menu printed with today's date and a 1/2 liter of house wine. We ate well. We went to the cashier and the gentleman informed us, in addition to our drinks, that there was a €3 surcharge per person on Saturdays and Sundays. He confirmed this by saying it was written on the menu. I took a photo of the menu to order, since they left one out, so I checked again, but I can't see where this surcharge is on Saturdays and Sundays. Otherwise, everything was impeccable.

We ate well, unfortunately we went on Sunday for lunch, despite the confusion the staff were very good at managing the situation, but never again on Sunday!

Finally a REAL place in Milan. It's really nice.

Very helpful staff, some staffs knew English. The fish and the lamb chop was delicious so was the Panna cotta. Decent price as well.
