Excellent restaurant, delicious food and excellent table service

Venanzio! I couldn't help but leave a review, because it's been a while since I've been this excited about dinner. I'll just say one thing: it's unmissable and top-notch. Plus, the owner is friendly and kind (something that, to be honest, I found quite rare around Massa)!

Not bad overall, I would have expected more dishes with lard, but it's okay. Fair price. Good service. Unfortunately, it's difficult to get to except by bus from Carrara... Parking is almost impossible, except on the street, with the risk of a fine.

We visited by chance, bot checking the reviews beforehand (something we never do) but loved loved loved our food. Sometimes all one needs is “blind” luck. The ravioli filled with meat in tomato sauce were probably the best I’ve ever had. The cheese flan with tartuffo was a big unexpected surprise. If you’re here, it means that the lardo needs no further ado. Order it! :) The server, while seeming cold at first also warmed up and did a very good job. I would definitely come back, you should too!

Improvised lunch with the kitchen closed, they seated us at the table and offered us an exceptional experience, definitely worth trying.

Having visited Colonnata, I must say I was disappointed... in some areas it is rundown and poorly maintained... shame... but I appreciated the free shuttle service... let's get back to the review of this restaurant which is located in the central square right at the shuttle stop... the dishes are not exceptional but good, the lard I ate was good... the service was slow, too slow in my opinion, they need more staff at the tables and in the kitchen... the two waitresses there do the impossible, really good... the organization needs re-evaluating... and I repeat, they need more staff... the menu you find on the noticeboard outside does not correspond with what they bring to the tables... and if you ask, believe me, you will be disappointed... the prices are average but the place with its outdoor veranda overlooking the square makes it pleasant to taste the dishes... but I was more disappointed by Colonnata with all the marble that the town has in some alleys it is unsightly, dilapidated abandoned houses, uneven driveways....

Small restaurant on the main square of Colonnata, with tables outside and inside, very crowded. Service a little slow, perhaps because of the crowd. Local dishes very carefully prepared and with quality ingredients. We tasted a Colonnata lard with an intense but delicate flavor, which melted on the palate, and a marinated lamb with baked potatoes, well garnished. Price a little high, and it is advisable to book in advance.
