Ristorante Punta Lena In Lipari

Well...my friends reading this, my expectations were high, in the sense that when they tell you about a gourmet restaurant, you don't just expect a beautiful plating but something more. Punta Lena is a charming restaurant, nothing extraordinary, right on the sea. Perhaps the downside was that when we went for dinner, it was already dark, and we couldn't tell we were right next to the sea. In any case, the dishes were well-cooked, but like pretty much everywhere else in Stromboli. It didn't stand out compared to the rest in terms of food quality. One flaw I absolutely didn't expect was the peppered mussels, which were so salty it tasted like seawater. And we Sicilians know how to cook mussels...when we pointed this out, we were simply told: oh...strange... Anyway, my calamari was good, but it was frozen. Maybe it's because I'm used to eating fresh fish; I can tell right away. The flavor was very good, anyway. That said, I can't give more stars because, guys, it's truly impossible to mess up a Pepata... The prices are truly outrageous for the type of food.

I highly recommend it, the food is very good! I had the Yellowtail as the dish of the day which was excellent! What can I say about the view and the impeccable service... Go there with your eyes closed 😉

Fantastic location on the sea, professional staff, good food.

We returned to Punta Lena after a few years. It was an excellent experience, a delicious dinner with the freshest fish and excellent wine. Very attentive service, a seaside restaurant with a breathtaking view. We'll be back soon. Compliments to the hostess!

Very elegant place with a view of Strombolicchio and very good food.

We went for dinner last night. The service was excellent; the waiters were kind, friendly, and attentive. The fish appetizers were delicious (a bit pricey, but in line with the quality of the fish). The grilled fish main course was also very good. It was a shame about the first course and the dessert. The spaghetti with clams was tasteless; perhaps it wasn't mixed well enough, but it tasted like plain spaghetti with clams on the side. It's a shame because the cooking and quality of the spaghetti were excellent. The dessert, on the other hand (a deconstructed cannoli with ricotta, capers, and lemon) was definitely not worth the €12 price tag. It was very stringy, perhaps because of the gelatine, but it wasn't to my liking (perhaps just my personal taste). Overall, it's a restaurant with great potential, and with a few more tweaks to the kitchen, it could be a top-notch restaurant. I would recommend not setting the prices for desserts or side dishes so high. The risk is that it would come across as overly pretentious, setting high expectations that might not be met.

Location fantastica. Freschissimo nonostante l'alta temperatura. Una cena all'insegna dell'alta qualità dei prodotti, eccezionale l'allestimento delle portate nei piatti e porzioni abbondanti. Ve lo consiglio!
