IL Tamburino. THE pizzeria! The last remaining of its kind for quality and tradition. For over 30 years, it has impeccably welcomed generations of Messina residents and tourists. Edit 18-7-2023 Being the only remaining VALUE pizzeria near my house, I return occasionally with family or friends. My last visit was on July 18th with family and relatives. Leaving aside the slightly inflated prices, I was disappointed to find the service significantly worse. The courtesy is still the same as it once was, and the precision and speed of table service, even when there were fewer people, have deteriorated significantly. There must have been a change in the wait staff... Edit 5/4/2026. I returned with my family, my parents, and my brother's family. We sat down at 1:15 PM and ordered at 2:40 PM. The first courses arrived at 4 PM. The dining room seats less than 60 people. And we were practically the first to sit down. My brother was pissed off. My dad wanted to leave at 3:30. We didn't even have a drink.
