Cercavamo nel nostro periodo di vacanza a Tropea un ristorante che facesse una buona pizza, e chiedendo consiglio alla signora che ci ha fittato la casa ci consigliò ristorante porta nova. A dir la verità eravamo un po' scettici, ma sono stati sconvolti i nostri pronostici, una pizza davvero buonissima, buon impasto, cottura eccellente e sapore top, per non parlare poi del servizio che è stato eccellente, con camerieri gentili e cordiali. Se dovessi ritornare a Tropea ci ritornerei sicuramente, il 🔝

Al nostro secondo giorno di vacanza abbiamo deciso di cenare al ristorante-pizzeria Porta Nova di Tropea.
Abbiamo mangiato come antipasto il polpo ed era buono.
Come primo abbiamo preso uno scialatiello allo scoglio, nel quale lo scoglio era probabilmente rimasto al mare. Letteralmente 4 cozze, 1 scampo piccolo e forse 2 gamberetti; il sugo era inesistente e lo scialatiello completamente asciutto (menomale che c’era il vino).
I panciotti discretamente buoni.

Excellent experience!
We ate some fish dishes.
The stuffed ravioli were incredible. The ingredients of all the dishes were balanced and well blended together.
We ate new and also typical local things.
All delicious.
Imaginative and refined dishes at a really good price!
Friendly and professional waiters!
Furthermore, the restaurant is located in a central point where it is possible to take a nice walk after the meal, among typical shops and colorful squares.
I recommend without a shadow of a doubt!

First of all, the restaurant is located in the center of Tropea. The location, enhanced by the characteristic views of the maritime city, favors the overall immersion of the place which reflects every characteristic of the village. Nothing can be said about the food, vast menu, but with attention to the smallest details. The fish is served fresh and the wood-fired oven guarantees the pizza a formidable flavour. The staff is super friendly and approachable, which is why I can't give 5 stars.
