We stayed in this historic hotel and were truly enchanted! Our room directly overlooked the splendid Borromean Islands: a dreamlike panorama, perfect for a romantic getaway. The atmosphere is welcoming and charming, with a touch of old-world elegance that makes everything even more special. A special thanks to the owner, who was incredibly kind and attentive: she recommended a truly delightful evening meal and even arranged a little surprise for my husband—a gesture we greatly appreciated and which made our stay even more memorable.

Don't go there... there's no spa! Don't go there... there's no infinity pool! Don't go there... it only has three stars! Perhaps this way, I'll be able to find a place more easily, since I'm content with a piece of the place's history, the excellent sweet (freshly baked) and savory breakfast served on the outdoor veranda just a few meters from the lake, the private beach, the private parking, the wonderful view from the terraces of the simple but charming rooms, and above all, the kindness and helpfulness of Mrs. Paola, the beating heart of the entire establishment.

We received a very warm welcome from Paola. The room was lovely, with a small balcony overlooking the lake. There's also access to a small private beach, and kayaking is available. The breakfast served outside was very pleasant and plentiful. We will definitely return. Best wishes.

We spent one night at the Hotel La Ripa. Although we had booked a room without a view, we were offered a room with a view (magnificent) which was a nice surprise! In the end it was a good thing because the rooms without a view are perhaps noisier because they are very close to the main road. The room was large and clean. It is an old house with beautiful parquet floors, so obviously you shouldn't expect soundproofing like you would with a modern building. We were able to enjoy the small private beach in the evening. One regret was that the deckchairs seemed quite old and there were pieces of glass everywhere on the beach unfortunately. I think you can borrow kayaks for free. We also found that the breakfast was too industrial compared to other places. In conclusion I think that La Ripa is a good option in this area of Lake Maggiore.

This is our third time here. As always, we were warmly welcomed upon arrival by Paola. She was always friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very balanced and plentiful. I would especially like to mention the hotel's private beach. It was great to go for a swim in the lake after a hot day without having to cross a road. We would gladly return anytime.
