Ristorante La Pace In Malcesine

I had reserved a table for my husband and me on the evening of July 28, 2025. The restaurant was full, but the reservation wasn't particularly important; we were assigned a table without even mentioning our names. The food was served quickly, and the drinks and bread arrived very quickly. We didn't have to wait long for the food either. The food was good, no doubt about it. However, the atmosphere was too rushed for us; there was a constant coming and going, and the tables were very close together. Since the restaurant is located directly on the busy promenade of the old harbor, it simply seemed very hectic. The service was professional and friendly, and at the end, we were given a self-service bottle of limoncello. We prefer a quieter and more comfortable seating, especially for longer, preferably somewhere off to the side where people aren't constantly walking past. For this reason, despite the good food, I would choose a different restaurant for us next time. But that's simply due to our subjective experience.

A restaurant with a beautiful view of Lake Garda. A truly magical place at sunset. The service was impeccable; while we waited for a table, we were served a glass of prosecco, a great way to while away the time. The waiters were quick, kind, and efficient. The food was very good, with generous portions. Definitely recommended!

We've been visiting this place for a few years in a wonderful location. This time, there was a small issue with a dish we ordered, but it was resolved by the excellent Valentina. We had a chat at the end of the evening with the friendly owner, while the waiters filled our table with bottles of liquor 👍😁

A restaurant with very reasonable prices (pizzas around 10e) and a mesmerizing view. It's as if someone took you back to that era in a time machine.

The restaurant, with its lovely waterfront setting and stunning blue table decorations, is in a line with two other neighboring restaurants. The free bread and lemon liqueur to finish were absolutely fantastic. They also offer a bread basket, which we forgot to mention. The food arrived in just five minutes, and the chefs (whom you meet on the way to the restroom) were super friendly! My pistachio pasta was the tastiest thing ever, my mother's gnocci was good but nothing special... the Aperol was excellent. The staff, however, were a bit unfriendly and distracted... One waitress with orange hair was nice, though! The prices were good. All in all, we would definitely come back :)

Great atmosphere, good food, and above all, very pleasant service: friendly, attentive, and very funny. We even finished off with a free drink on the house. We've already ordered again for this evening.

Die Kellner zu hektisch und das Essen nur durchschnittlich, das ist unsere Bilanz vom Besuch. Meine Lasagne war gut, aber die Spaghetti aglio e olio meiner Frau hatten wenig Geschmack und waren eher trocken. Das Bruschetta war ebenfalls sehr trocken und die Tomaten ziemlich fad. Eine witzige Idee ist, dass jeder Gast zum Schluss einen Limoncello und/oder einen Grappa bekommt. Dafür wird einfach die ganze Flasche auf den Tisch gestellt - fertig. Gläser gibt es natürlich dazu.

We were a bit put off by some reviews here, BUT our experience was 5 star. Service, food, drinks, location all memorable. The fish 'soup' was particularly good. Recommended.
